SOLVED. Disturbing dreams coming true [s]

im trying to help someone find a book. All she seems to remember is...
A very popular high school senior who lives in colorado takes a psychology class and later starts getting disturbing dreams that come true. horrible things start happening to people in her life

The book may be young adult or thriller and im pretty sure it was published in the 1990's

Any ideas?
