Reading from my own shelves

I just found this thread. Does it count if I buy new books, put them on my shelf, then select one to read? If so I've read two I own LOL! I haven't been to the library in two months and I am trying to read what I have here at home. I don't feel so bad, I only have about 60 books I haven't read yet.

LOL, I am part of that thread as well...but I am (obviously) not very active. I go to so many used bookstores and then my boyfriend became a member of Barnes and Noble, so we go there all the time. And besides that, I am always picking up free books from the library shelf (my mom works there, and I tell her which ones I like and she brings them home for me). So my habit has gotten ten times worse recently. I think it really started when I got active on goodreads. :)

Grrr...well, if I could just start actually reading the books I own, I'd be all set. I think I have about 25 books from the library and about half are 14 day books :/ I am in trouble...

Esther, I skimmed through that thread awhile back, it scared me so bad I haven't been back! I'm not ready to get help .... there is still room on the bookshelf :-)

When you have books piled high on every horizontal surface in the house (including the husband if he stays still for too long!) then you will realise you have a problem.
And the first step is admitting you have a problem... :0)

Just bought new bookshelves from Ikea...and realized that there will never be shelves big enough for all that I own. Esther, I empathize.

I agreed to this challenge. However, I have been a very very bad girl. Im positive that Im a lost cause this time,but I've not given up completely. I am right now reading the last 5 pages of Something Wicked This Way Comes. Then I AM starting The Postcard Killers by James Patterson. It is mine!

Erika,dont feel bad. I think that I have only read three of my own. One of my New Years resolutions is that I will conquer all/ most of next years challanges. Lol
