I only watched Season 1 of Fear and was so underwhelmed that I didn't watch any of Season 2, but I did want to see the airplane episode...maybe I'll just watch that one.

I guess it does follow the #100 Walking Dead comic, but NOOOO....(view spoiler)[ My daughter called it, she said that all last season, they were trying to get us ready to lose Glenn, but I was actually hoping it was only Abraham, since Negan called him his "right hand man." Glenn under the dumpster and then up against the fence just managed to survive. Did Glenn ever kill a human? I don't think so. Another reason I loved him. I'm glad I didn't realize there wasn't more than one death. I don't blame Darryl for Glenn's death...I blame Negan!

I was annoyed that they rushed into fighting these guys. I didn't agree with rushing their surveillance and also fighting people based on someone else's insistence, with no grudge of their own.

That scene with Rick and Carl was super intense!! It made me think of the Bible story of God forcing Abraham (no pun intended) sacrificing Isaac. I'm glad that Rick didn't have to do it.

And those guys are going to regret taking Darryl. They underestimate his loyalty to the group. They probably think he's there for convenience and they can make it worth his while. Mistake, Big Mistake. Heh, heh.

(view spoiler)[I don't know how I feel about Negan and Rick being co-leads in the series. I was getting tired of Rick, but I'm not sure about Negan. Though, I do like him "keeping his word" so if he tells you something you can believe him. Unfortunately, we learned this the hard way.

These post-apocalyptic communities are fascinating. We had the Governor and Alexandria and Wolves, and now Negan's Saviors and Morgan's Knights. I like communities setting up trading, because that is how civilization evolves. But just because you can kill walkers, doesn't mean you can govern a society. Maybe Rick is meant to be security and not a leader.

I'm a techie, so I would be dead somewhere around the first week. LOL. But my hubby, my older daughter's boyfriend and my brother would all be great to have around. They are all deadly, smart men of action. But only my hubby could figure out how to start a community...hmmm, I may have to keep him around in case of a zombie apocalypse.

He has a name that is more commonly female and I asked him if he got teased when he was young. His reply was, "Nah, I was always big for my age, so no one ever messed with me." I watch all three. Fear The Walking Dead picks up a bit in season two. It's at least something to watch between seasons.

EXCLUSIVE: Surprising no-one, AMC has quietly renewed The Walking Dead for Season 9, multiple sources confirm to RenewCancelTV.

The ninth season pick-up comes ahead of the Season 8 premiere on Oct. 22.

About The Walking Dead:

Rick and his survivors bring “All Out War” to Negan and his forces. The Saviors are larger, better-equipped, and ruthless, but Rick and the unified communities are fighting for the promise of a brighter future. The battle lines are drawn as they launch into a kinetic, action-packed offensive.

Up until now, survival has been the focus of Rick and our group, but it’s not enough. They have to fight to take back their freedom so that they can live, so that they can rebuild. The Season 9 renewal comes with a new showrunner in the form of writer/co-exec producer Angela Kang, who replaces former helmer Scott Gimple. In addition, Gimple has inked an overall deal which sees him now serve as chief content officer of the franchise.

I kept wondering why I was seeing Morgan in the Fear promo commericals. Apparently I'm a little late to the game b/c it's been news that he's heading to Fear since late last year.

Finale this Sunday ... ugh. I'm having a hard time with this season. So many frustrations. Not sure what I think of the Fear crossover, but it's gotten their intended result - I'll tune in when I normally wouldn't have just to see how they make that work. Don't know that I'll stick with it though.

Oh my gosh, I can't believe that I haven't been here all season! My daughter graduated from college last May, moved to Washington in Sept and got married in Dec. It was a CRAZZZY year, especially the 2nd half of the year. Then my sister got diagnosed with the scary C and I've been taking care of her/hanging out in Hawaii for most of the beginning of this year. Hubby told me to go and work let me go too, so I spent most of the winter in Honolulu. So the snow in April is my fault since I missed it.

TWD airs at 6 pm in Hawaii and it's just not the same as 8 pm with hubby at home. I've not been thrilled with this season.

Morgan crossing over to Fear was brilliant. I haven't watched Fear in years, but I was watching on Sunday. The gang is going to be so sad that Morgan left them, but their loss is Fear's gain.

What did you think of Eugene's savior surprise?! I guessed it, but he's been such a jerk that I wasn't sure that it would really happen.

Maggie planning on crossing Rick is scary. Though I agree with her...kill Neegan already.

I don't really understand what the message Dwight got from his wife meant. So did she die? Did she move on? I'm glad that Darryl let him go and didn't kill Dwight.

Same. Sad to see Carl go, I guess, but everyone making him the light of peace, as if he'd always been that way, kinda bugged me too. Yes, he was about peace lately, but not always. Anyway, I was more sad for the actor, esp after hearing how Gimple handled it. That was f'd up!

OMG! The fact that Neegan was still alive after SO many missed attempts to kill him was SO infuriating. These people can shot a shambling walker in the head from a great distance, but they can't kill a guy standing still a few feet away? UGH! Then, Rick is so skilled with a blade that he knows he didn't kill Neegan and he can be stitched up? I hate getting mad about stuff like that b/c I know it's in the script and not a recreation of actual events (LOL!!) but still, it's frustrating.

We were so pissed they didn't address any timeline and left that for the Talking Dead to cover. I kept saying, how long has Maggie been pregnant? Where's her baby bump? Of course, near the end, we find out it's only been like two WEEKS since Glenn was brutally killed? WHAT?! Ok, so Maggie's reaction and desire to settle this once and for all makes much more sense. SOMETHING has to happen with that show next season to make up for the drag it's been, IMO. It's not the edge of your seat, must-watch (although we always watch the night of) it used to be and that's so sad.

We stopped watching Fear after their last midseason finale, so we'd missed the second 1/2. We went back and watched the finale-finale before the premiere. Gotta say, their finale kinda sucked too, but I did like the premiere and hope the rest of the season is good. I'll be watching, for now, because I wanna see what's happened since the time jump, how Morgan will fit in (or not) and see all the new characters. The show definitely needed something, maybe they found the recipe that'll make it better. TWD needs something major too, IMO. It's a bunch of the same - rinse and repeat. Snoooorrrre.

Yeah, we'd guessed his plan the episode before, but I don't know that would've been enough for me to forgive and forget. He's too much for himself for me to trust him. I kept waiting for the BIG setup of Rick and Gang and that was it? Dumb.

I'm wondering if she left him a message about where they wanted to go for their honeymoon? Is that was the note said? I can't remember. Maybe he's gonna go somewhere, somewhere they'd planned to go if they escaped together, and meet up? Dunno. Honestly, I don't really care. LOL! Seriously, my list of "I give a shit about ..." people is dwindling quickly. So sad.

Wow, I didn't realize it had only been 2 weeks since Glen died, no wonder it's been dragging, that's 2 weeks covered in 2 years/seasons. That doesn't seem possible that they broke Darryl in a week. But that would explain Darryl's strange behavior and Maggie's rage (and lack of a baby bump).

Hard to tell yet. I like some of the new characters shown so far, but the people carried over from S03 haven't had much screen time (at least in Ep1; I haven't watched Ep2 yet).

I missed this weekend's Fear, but I don't think that Morgan can carry a whole show by himself. But I'm going to watch until I find out for certain.

I'm even getting tired of TWD, but I think it's because we haven't seen much of many of my favorite characters ~ Darryl, Carol & Jesus (now that Glen and Shiva the Tiger are gone) and I wasn't a fan of the plots lately. Neegan is interesting, but not 2 seasons worth of interesting. I really like the relationship between Carol & King Ezekiel and I love Jerry. But I'm getting tired of them killing off characters that I like. And many of the old favorites have changed like Michonne, Darryl, Carol & Maggie.

I agree and have not understood the fascination with Morgan. I like him okay, but he's never been an overly impressive character to me. He didn't kill when he should've and he wobbled on the line (kill/don't kill) he drew for himself more times that I can count. While I think he'll make a good addition to Fear, I hope they don't pin a lot of the show on his character. So far, I like John Dorie.

We watched Ep2-3 and (*This spoiler applies to events in Ep3*) (view spoiler)[Nick got killed at the end of 4. I didn't feel strongly about him one way or another, but was surprised to see him go so early into the new season.

Now, Morgan - who is back to saying "I don't kill" - won't let another kill? I get that the dude Nick wanted to kill wasn't attacking but he's got his own reasons and Morgan tries to stop him?

I'm starting to wonder if Maggie is even still alive in the present. Every time we've seen her so far it's been in flashbacks. (hide spoiler)]

I don't have strong feelings about any of the Fear characters, TBH

Agreed, esp about the plots (snore); Neegan's lengthy run (could'a died a dozen times over); the killing off of characters I like (just mean); and old faves changing (why, Gimpel, why?).

Big sigh. I only discovered TWD early last year and binge-watched all the seasons until I got up to date with it and freaking LOVED it. Now, I have so many problems with what they're doing with it, the characters they made me fall in love with and the blatant underuse of Danai Gurira as Michonne.

My heart is still with all the deceased players may they RIP, Rick, Michonne, Maggie and the rest of TF, even the ones I don't like, because it's Rick's and therefore their story... well it used to be and still should be. And with (view spoiler)[Carl gone, (yes I'm one of those who is salty AF at that plot device and the appalling treatment of Chandler Riggs), (hide spoiler)] and Morgan off to raise the ratings on Fear, I just wonder what season 9 has in store. Especially given the situation with Lauren Cohan (Maggie).

I suppose the Negan *, Daryl ** and Carol *** show is on its way. Another sigh.

Never had any interest in Fear, but I did watch 4.01 for Morgan (I love him). It was interesting, but I'm not sure if I'll bother watching any more than that one. I hate that they took him away from my show just to boost the rating on this one.

LOL! I agree with so much of that, Herekittykitty.

I'm also wondering what's in store for S09. Hopefully a lot of NEW and not the same ole same ole, rinse and repeat we've gotten for the past several seasons.

I do think we'll get quite a bit of new, but not the right sort of new, unfortunately.
