Grrr! So Wednesday I started to watch the latest episode and fell asleep about 1/3 of the way in. On a side note, I remember teasing my parents for doing this and now I do the same thing. Anyway, yesterday I was browsing through my FB feed and saw a post from TWD saying (view spoiler)[ RIP Noah! (hide spoiler)] Darn it. So I knew what was going to happen at some point in the last 40 minutes, just not how. I finished watching it last night. Wow!

(view spoiler)[Aiden's death is going to stir things up. How badly depends on whether Nicholas tells the truth or not. Given that Alexandria's SOP is "Save yourself. Screw your friends.", he may be willing to admit how things went down. On the other hand, he may have a harder time actually facing Aiden's mom and telling the truth.

While I wouldn't have minded if Nicholas was lost, I'm glad Glenn brought him back for two reasons. One, I'm happy that's not in Glenn to do yet. He's still willing to save others, no matter who they are. Though, if the Governor was still alive and it was him, I think he would have been zombie bait. Two, as Steven mentioned on Talking Dead, they're facing a tough situation anyway, but if they'd come back minus all Alexandria residents and only the newbies ... they're would probably be no saving that situation. Chances still look gloomy, but maybe salvageable.

TWD fans...(view spoiler)[ I'm sure no one is surprised that Nicholas (aka running man) didn't tell the truth. I don't know if the Senator believes him or not. Though she knew that her son was a piece of work, so maybe if she isn't blinded by grief...

I kind of felt Michonne's fears are happening and everyone except crazy Sasha and frosty Glen are going soft.

It feels to me that Rick is hunting domesticated animals. Kind of like Rick and Carol look more civilized on the outside but they are just as wild on the inside. Where Daryl still looks a little rough, but he's lowering his guard with the other recruiter.

The Senator is DEFINITELY regretting letting these people in. Her jerk of a son might still be alive because I don't think they would've risked going into some place that dangerous.

I still miss Noah. I like Carl finding a crush. Way sweeter than whatever his father is doing.

What does W mean? My hubby thinks it's an upside down M...for Morgan...where is he?

*Sigh* I thought Sunday's episode was kinda boring. At least up until the last 2 minutes or so. Glad we're getting a 90-min finale.

Yeah, no surprise there. I did like that Glenn made sure he knew he was trying to save his life with his comments. Dude wouldn't survive on his own.

I was surprised that Rick told Deanna they should kill Pete. Did he really think she'd go for that? She'd already said they'd banished men. Although, I doubt banishing Pete would keep him out and away from his wife and son. I think Rick's just trying to rebuild his life and she fits a missing piece. Don't see them ever working as a couple.

Oh yeah, I think so too, even if only b/c of the loss of her son and issue with Pete. Those are two big things though.

I never really got attached to Noah. There are certainly others I wish had died before him, but I don't miss him. I think it'd be odd if Carl wasn't crushing on the girl, but there's definitely more to her story. Is she trustworthy?

No clue what the W stands for. We don't know who they banished or what their story was, so I guess it could be them. Could also be Morgan (no idea where he is - last seen wandering near Terminus, yah?), but y'all really think he's carving an M and set them free? Seems odd, but odd's more the rule than the exception in the apocalypse, I guess. ;)

Last weeks episode: With everything that happened at the end, I forgot about this.

(view spoiler)[When Carol opened the closet and pulled Sam out, I laughed to myself and thought, "Boy she sure scared him. He's hiding in the monster's closet. LOL."

Those were my actual thoughts while viewing that scene. Then we find out about what he's really dealing with in his home life and I could understand why Carol's speech about tying him to a tree wouldn't really scare him away. First, he lives with a real "monster" and secondly, Carol has something he needs in order to protect his mom. (hide spoiler)]


This weeks episode.

(view spoiler)[I don't think the "W" has to do with Morgan. Remember Noah's home had been invaded. Spray paint on the walls said "Wolves not far". There were body parts around the area and piled in the truck, similar to the ones around the girl Daryl & Aaron found tied to a tree and used as bait. Whatever it is, you know it can't be good.

When Rick & Pete were fighting and Pete hit Jessie to get her out of the way, I thought to myself "Now you've done it." But then Rick roughly pushes Carl back, causing him to fall down, and I couldn't believe it. Rick definitely let his crazy light shine there at the end. He might have had a few salient points, but shouting them while enraged and covered in blood definitely wasn't going to get him any listeners.

And finally, did my ears deceive me or did Rick actually tell Jessie he wouldn't make that offer to save anyone else? Sooo ... any other battered woman he isn't attracted to is on her own. Nice to know. Or, did he just tell her that because he knew it's what she needed to hear in order to be convinced to leave Pete? (hide spoiler)]

I was glad Michonne knocked him out too, especially when Rick started waving his gun around as he talked. But I am not looking forward to the sheriff being detained. He is gonna be soooo mad!

Rick telling Jessie that he wouldn't do it for anyone else annoyed me. I don't think that would be true, but he didn't kill Ed when Carol was beaten and bruised.

And part of me sees the usefulness in Pete being a doctor. A doctor would be so useful in a community. Like at Dawn's hospital, doctors are valuable. Now, Nicholas and Aiden...good riddance. Oh, and don't even get me started about that two-faced, cowardly preacher!

I just read a non-fiction book for my book club and they mentioned how the Greek's had developed all kinds of stuff and then the knowledge was lost and they had to be re-invented years later in the Renaissance. What kinds of knowledge are going to disappear with the lost of books and skilled people in the zombie apocalypse?

I think there's a 50/50 chance he'll be mad or freaked by his reaction. Probably more like 80/20. LOL!

Man, lots and lots would be lost, I think. Unless someone was forward thinking enough to stash bright minds away, like on the movie 2012, or something. That and stashing/somehow protecting libraries worth of information to be recovered later.

TWD Season Finale...I literally was biting my nails. (view spoiler)[ I was so worried about Glen. I think it was strategically stupid to not kill Nicholas, but I knew Glen wouldn't do it. And it will show the Alexandrites who is evil that Nicholas, their idiot scavenger, shot Glen, tried to leave his friend Aiden for dead and got Noah killed when he panicked.

It was convenient that Gabriel let some walkers in so Rick could prove his worth. If Gabriel has a death wish, so wander off already. Don't take anyone else out with you.

I was really excited that Pete, Gabriel and Nicholas would all get dead this episode, but alas, it was not to be. Is the Senator losing it? Poor lady. I saw her make a 180 degree change in her decision.

I'm glad that Rick decided not to kill the residents and take Alexandria. I was thinking he was scary, but I'm glad that he's still the leader that I trust. Morgan!!!!!! Good to see you, man, and love the staff work!

(view spoiler)[Rumors abounded that there would be a death and I was scared it would be either Glen or Daryl. So happy my guys made it through okay. :D

I'm once again happy that Glen let Nicholas live because that's just not who Glen is. Did you watch the aftershow, Talking Dead. They asked Norman Reedus if Daryl would have killed Nicholas and he said yes, but that Daryl and Glen are mentally in two different places (paraphrasing). Maybe Nicholas can grow from this moment. I'm not expecting miracles, but look at Eugene's minor change. I'm really hoping he will continue to improve. And how funny was Rosita's "whoops" moment. It made me laugh.

I wonder if Deanna's going to regret her decision. She spoke in the heat of the moment, holding her dead/dying husband in her arms. She's not been instrumental in anyone's death yet, so I wonder how she's going to feel once the overwhelming anger leaves her. I'm also wondering how the townsfolk will react when Rick or one of the others has to make sure Reg stays dead. We still don't know if they realize everyone is a carrier of the virus and anyone who dies will come back.

And what a reintroduction for Morgan and Rick. I wonder how Morgan's going to react to what he walked into, given his new "all life is precious" outlook. Lennie James was also on Talking Dead and hinted that something big happened to Morgan. I'm hoping the writers delve into that next season. He also put another event into perspective. When Morgan tossed the 2 Wolves into the back seat of the car and honked the horn, he wasn't doing it to attract walkers. He honked the horn and waited to make sure there were no walkers in the area and they would be safe in the car.

I was happy to see Sane Rick make a reappearance. Rick's taking charge is not a bad thing, the residents of Alexandria have been lucky so far and will reach a point where they need strength and protection. If your one of his, Rick will give everything he has to keeping you alive. Maggie put into words something I've been thinking since the midseason premiere, you want to be in Rick's family.

Melissa Suzanne McBride was the third guest on Talking dead. Loved hearing her talk about playing Carol. I also loved the Cosplay Carol in the horrid floral sweater at the end of the show.

That preview for Fear the Walking Dead was just a tease! It will be interesting to see how it goes this summer. They probably won't, since it's a new show, but I would love to have Chris Hardwick follow up that one also with a talk show. (hide spoiler)]

I hear ya! I was so glad when he wandered out, arms up, ready to get dead. Then, he has second thoughts and I'm bummed. Of course he couldn't have died b/c of his failure to lock the gates. And, now they're in a prayer circle ... oy. He's gotta go in S06.

I refused to believe Glen or Daryl would die. Hubby was sure Glen would, but I kept shushing him. So glad he was wrong.

I wanted Glen to kill Nicholas, but knew he wouldn't. Like you said, that's just not who he is (right now). Dude deserves to die though. WTF was he thinking shooting Glen? His poor baby feelings were hurt by Glen's speech? Idiot.

I loved the car/zombie scene with Daryl, what's his face and Morgan. But, so unbelievable. The walkers are 2-3 layers around the car and Morgan walks up, shoves a bit and opens the door for them to run to safety? Nah. But, hey, I'll take it!

So happy to see Morgan's back and has finally connected with the group. I'm anxious to hear his back story and what led him to go from crazed loss depression to zen warrior. I'm guessing he's not going to be too keen on Rick's raging. But, hopefully, now that Pete's gone, Rick will chill a bit on the kill-all mentality.

I think Deanna may regret that it all came to Pete's death, but I think she'll be okay with telling Rick to shoot him. It'll be interesting to see how she reacts once she's calmed down a bit. Also, finally finding out if they know everyone's infected. I really hope they address that at some point next season. I'm so curious.

So very anxious for Fear the Walking Dead this summer! I hope it's good. It'll definitely help take the edge off while waiting for the next season of TWD. (hide spoiler)]

I am not expecting Fear the Walking Dead to be very good, spin offs so rarely are. I'll watch it, but I'm not getting my hopes up. And part of the reason I like TWD so much is I truly love some of the characters. (view spoiler)[ I was yelling, No, NOT GLEN!!! I'd be really ticked if Daryl, Michonne or Glen die. And I really like Carol, Carl and sometimes Rick.

But it will take some great writing and great actors for us to get emotionally attached. Though, I kind of liked Andrea (pre-governor), Tyreese (when he was a killer) and Hershel and they are all gone.

Did ya watch the Fear the Walking Dead premiere? What'd ya think?

I knew going in that they were putting the focus on the family, so I wasn't surprised that the majority of the episode focused on us getting to know them. Being a gore-girl, I'm anxious for some serious walker scenes. It is interesting to see how it might all play out at the beginning of an outbreak.

Are we to assume that no one has ever watched a zombie movie? Cuz that never seems realistic to me, but of course walkers/zombies IRL totally does! LOL! ;)

I had to keep reminding myself the show is about the beginning of the outbreak, so they're going for the slow buildup not an explosive outbreak. At least not yet, anyway.

On an episode of Talking Dead, Kirkman stated that the concept of zombies does not exist. There is no such term, they don't initially know how to kill them permanently. That's also why different groups of people have different names for them. All those poor people have never seen a George Romero movie!

Interesting announcement about zombies on a plane. Apparently it's an internet episode they will air during commercial breaks of Fear TWD. In the end, it will introduce a new character for season 2 of FTWD.

Sorry, been busy with life and also was underwhelmed with the premiere of Fear TWD. I kind of like the characters, so hopefully it will be better once there are more zombies around.

I too want them to realize zombies! I really liked in TWD how each group had a different name for the walkers, rotters, turned, roamers...

I also thought this episode was better. Ex-wife and new girlfriend in same group, could be a little awkward.

Yeah, ex and new GF could be awkward. Hard to say at this point how the two women feel about each other. Ex doesn't seem to have any negative feelings toward anyone but exhub at this point. But, zombie apocalypse could take all that drama outta the equation. Bigger fish to fry and all that.

During the final episode of FTWD, did you catch the explanation on why a zombie bite victim turns faster? Early in TWD, after they revealed everyone carries the virus and everyone turns after dying, they never explained why a bite would accelerate the turning process. Now we know. If you get bitten, you die from infection and then you turn. Not a big deal, but nice to have an explanation that makes scientific sense.

Apparently, Talking Dead did well after the finale. They just announced that Chris will be hosting TD after episodes of Fear next year.

Seriously, what made them think they could Pied Piper that many walkers 20 miles? At this point, someone must know how to make a bomb or some sort of explosive they could've used. Great premiere except I agree (view spoiler)[ why couldn't they kill the walkers where they were trapped? And where exactly are you leading a huge herd like that? There would have to be a destination and a plan. Were they just going to let all thousand walkers just roam around?

I agree explosives or fire but disable the walkers. Though I don't know how you kill that many. But I do love the idea of the giant walker pit/trap. Why couldn't they construct a better impenetrable barricade. (hide spoiler)]

LOVE Carol (view spoiler)[ glad the bada-- Carol is back and no more "little miss homemaker" Carol. We all cheered when she shot the guy that the Reverend and Morgan were tying up. Though I yelled at Morgan for saving the Reverend...WHY?! (hide spoiler)]

I LOVED the timer on the last episode! Everything happened in 45 minutes.
