Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments Ah ha!! I love that angle, let's wait to see what happens then :D

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments Just watched the latest episode, definitely rooting for the advisor now.

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Welcome, Marla!

Yeah, Andrea has been frustrating this season. But, I get how she'd wanna have something quazi normal in her life. But, (view spoiler)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments LOL freaky is right.

I loved last week's episode! The ending was crazy with (view spoiler)

I didn't watch last night though but I saw some disturbing facebook updates. Yikes!

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments Nooo spoilers are the worst!

message 158: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Just watched it while I worked out. Great episode! I thought the ending was perfect. It needed to happen to move the story forward.

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Who saw the finale?
(view spoiler)

message 160: by Marla (new)

Marla | 261 comments I liked the finale! I agree that they should've killed a few of the Woodbury gang at the prison...come on. Steph LOL!

(view spoiler)

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments I was disappointed by the finale. They spent the entire season touting out this huge, all out war (view spoiler)

(view spoiler)

Overall, it was a great season and I enjoyed it, was just let down by the finale. And come on, last season's finale was awesome.

message 162: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments :D

I agree, Jeann. A little more suspense would'a been nice at the end to leave us chompin' at the bit for the next season.

(view spoiler)

Definitely remains one of my favorite must-see shows and I'm anxious for next season.

message 164: by Marla (new)

 Marla | 261 comments I agree! I am so glad I joined this group...all for this discussion...LOL

I love Talking Dead! It's hilarious! Especially the Memorial portion.

message 166: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Only since moving back to the states have we been able to watch The Talking Dead. We've caught a few of them and we've enjoyed them, for the most post. Sometimes I love the intensity of the host and other times he annoys me. Must be my mood at the time we watch. LOL!

LOVE the pics, Jeann! Too funny! Should be interesting next season.

Marla, I had forgotten about the CDC. (view spoiler)

message 167: by Daffodil (new)

Daffodil (daffodil--ripcranberry) | 2098 comments I was watching the final episode of The Talking Dead last night and finally realized where else I know Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) from. He mentioned Boondock Saints and I was immediately "Aha, that's it!" Strangely, I did the same thing with Jonny Lee Miller of Elementary and Hackers on Saturday or Sunday. I guess it's a week for revelations.

Speaking of Daryl, has anyone else seen the Time Warner Cable commercial for the Walking Dead. Here it is.

message 168: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments I like that commercial. "Sorry ma'am." :D

message 169: by Daffodil (new)

Daffodil (daffodil--ripcranberry) | 2098 comments Less than a month to go!!! Impatiently waiting for October 13.

Meanwhile I just saw this today: Walking dead companion series in the works.

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments OMGg can't wait until October 13 then! I've had a series drought for half the year!

message 171: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Tick tock ....

Danielle Book Boss (daniellebookboss) | 1009 comments Yes! My Sundays will finally be complete again!

message 173: by Marla (new)

Marla | 261 comments I can't believe no one has commented. Well, what do you think?

My hubby and I am not super impressed so far but I'm liking more people so we can have more zombie deaths :D He doesn't like keeping track of everyone new.

(view spoiler)

message 174: by Marla (new)

Marla | 261 comments Also, I just read, The Walking Dead, Vol. 1 Days Gone Bye (The Walking Dead, #1) by Robert Kirkman to see what started the craze and it was fun. Feel free to see my review for more information.

message 175: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments I loved that part, Marla, especially (view spoiler)

We also watched the Talking Dead that followed with guest Nathan Fillion -love him!- and one of the writers (?).

More people = more zombie deaths = good fun! LOL! I'm interested to see this Sunday (view spoiler)

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments I'm so happy that TWD is back again. This one seemed more gory than usual, or maybe it's because we haven't seen it lately.

This episode made me like Darryl better, like there was a reason to make him even more awesome lol

message 177: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Looks like the next episode should be even gorier. :D

message 178: by Marla (new)

Marla | 261 comments Yup, I'm thinking next episode (view spoiler)

I think they need to leave the prison, so what would make them leave?

Surprisingly, I like Daryl better as a leader and not anti-social. And sadly, I'm liking Rick less.

My hubby said that the strongest character does the hard killing. (view spoiler)

message 179: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Should be lots of gory goodness to come! :D Although, (view spoiler)

Leaving prison: (view spoiler)

I'm ready for them to venture out of there - time for a change of scenery.

I like your hubby's statement and agree.

I think we'll definitely see more of Tyreese. He was mentioned in the Talking Dead ep following Ep1. They said he'd "need to grow up", in reference to his comments to his girlfriend.

message 180: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Hubby & I guessed (view spoiler)

How'd that happen?!? (view spoiler)

Did anyone see the GQ article on Daryl? I haven't read it all, but here's a link: http://www.gq.com/entertainment/celeb...

But, I have watched the video ... *sigh* he's a hugger! Funny. ME TOO! >;) I dig the bunny slippers ;) His boob pillow ... LOL!! :D
Watch GQ's video, Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus Needs These Things to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse.

message 181: by Marla (new)

Marla | 261 comments My hubby didn't like last night's episode, I think there wasn't enough death and destruction and too much drama and feelings.

I was surprised at who killed the 2 burnt people and I agree with the reason. But I doubt Tyreese is going to leave it alone. Does Rick tell Tyreese who did it? I was very worried about Tyreese last night.

(view spoiler)

I haven't seen the GQ article yet, but thanks, I will when I have more time.

message 182: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Yeah, I prefer when there's more D&D too. :) But, nice when we get to know the characters a bit more too, I guess.

Good question! I don't know if Rick will tell him or not. Tyreese is walkin' a very thin line between sanity and full-on rage madness.

(view spoiler)

Yeah, I haven't read the full article yet, but the short video is adorable and funny. :)

message 183: by Marla (new)

Marla | 261 comments Well, if we take them...more people to kill off later *laughs gleefully*

message 184: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

message 187: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Yeah, you're right. You're always right. ;) Nah, J/K. But, really, you're right. :p Hadn't thought of it that way, but damn (view spoiler)

See. Always right. LOL! (view spoiler)

We ran the sync once when we first got back in the states. We rarely watch the show IRT. Hubby likes to start watching once it's at least 20 mins in so we can f/frwd through commercials.

message 188: by Marla (last edited Dec 01, 2013 08:51PM) (new)

Marla | 261 comments Yes, we've talked about watching delayed so we can fast forward through the commercials, but my hubby and daughter can't bear to not watch. My daughter in college texts me during the episode and my younger daughter skypes with her boyfriend. LOL Some family watch wholesome shows, we are kinda a Walking Dead, Criminal Minds, Grimm kind of family.

Did you watch the mid-season finale?! Wow, that was one messed up episode. Original predictions: (view spoiler)

The prison...(view spoiler)

Deaths...(view spoiler)

Robert Kirkman, the writer, was on Talking Dead and he said that they try to give all important characters memorable deaths to honor them.

message 191: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments I haven't read the comics, so I wasn't aware that's how it played out in them. But, makes sense. That's what I was thinking.

Hate waiting for these breaks, but so happy they've made longer seasons. :D

message 192: by Marla (new)

Daffodil (daffodil--ripcranberry) | 2098 comments My brother, who loves cookbooks, is a big fan of TWD also and I found the perfect thing for him last night while browsing through the bookstore for that last minute extra.

The Snacking Dead A Parody in a Cookbook by D.B. Walker

I only had time to flip through it, but it looks neat. I'm debating tracking down another copy for myself.

message 197: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Cool! My hubby would like that too.

message 198: by Marla (new)

Marla | 261 comments Sounds interesting, but I don't know whether to laugh or cringe.

message 199: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Mid-season marathon starts at 1PM today in prep for the show's return Sunday night. We were gonna watch um, but remembered how frustrating some of the episodes were, so we're passing. But, definitely looking forward to its return.

message 200: by Marla (new)

Marla | 261 comments I'm not looking forward to skipping between the different groups while they are separated like last time when they escaped from the farm. I wonder if someone will meet up with Carol.
