Did you see the S03 premiere already? It'll come on tonight here in Oki. Let down. :/ Oh no. There have been so many episodes throughout the previous seasons that were a bust for me. But, I still keep hoping because some episodes have been wicked good.

I did Steph! You wrote it perfectly. Some episodes are just so perfect while others just failed. But I do keep hoping for that perfect one again. I felt like with this one, there were so many things my husband and I were screaming at the tv -- like a bad horror movie -- not to do. But maybe it was just us. But despite that, it was still better than not watching it.

I have to agree with you, Regina. We were hollerin' at the screen as well. Some serious TSTL moments, plus I didn't care for the way they dropped us in after so much time had past without even the briefest of catchups. Some things were obvious, but others like (view spoiler)[I didn't remember pregers and hubby (I suck as name recall after the fact, sorry) bickering to the point of him being so pissed at her; son who couldn't touch a gun w/out a spanking is now a marksmen w/a wicked silencer; and Andrea and the chicky with the pet walkers have been scouting together, but now she's sick with what? a simple cold or more? (hide spoiler)] I don't know, maybe I'm being too picky and "all will be revealed", but I wanted to know then not wait. LOL! I'm impatient that way.

Oh, we also (view spoiler)[ saw that bite coming a mile away. Seriously!? They've seen so many walkers "look" deader than dead, but still have some kick left. Then, CHOP ... "uh, he's bleeding out." YA THINK? You just karate chopped his damned leg off, which you shouldn't have worried with anyway. You know he's gonna turn. Should'a left him where he was and shot him in the head as soon as he was bit. Sorry, but really - are they hoping he somehow saved him by (not so) quickly choppin' off his leg? When's that proven effective?

And, tell me puleese what the hell good those bullet proof vests were gonna do them?! Really?! The walkers are just gonna snack on your exposed limbs, not try to bite your damned chest. The only good they'd do would be to protect you from friendly fire, which we were just waiting to happen as they wandered around all manic like with several flash lights and tons of firearms. But, like you, I'll be watching every week. LOL!

I'm the biggest walking dead fan and I saw some of those things coming after reading the comic. I was definitely satisfied and just happy to see it back really :D

(view spoiler)[Definitely the prison, chopping Herschel's leg off (I mean he's the one that is going to deliver Rick's baby, there's no way he's going to let that one go) and the other inmates in the prison.

I'm not sure why Rick's son isn't really liking his mother at the moment, even with the Shane incident from ages ago. Also I'm finding the thing between Carl and Herschel's daughter to be kind of weird.

How gross was it that Glen and Maggie were about to get jiggy with it in a bloody cell and with blood and guts covered all over them, but I suppose you get desensitised in the zombie land.

Rick can't keep sane like that forever, the man needs to sleep or eat or at least catch a break every once in a while!

REally interested in seeing where Andrea and Michonne will go :) I like how Michonne has taken a liking to her because she's probably her only human contact in ages. (hide spoiler)]

I haven't read the comics, so I'm not getting that background or preview, I guess. But, I get what you're saying about Herschel. Makes sense.

Haha, I read Ames' post before I saw Steph's. That is perfect. My husband and I watched last week's last night. He drives me crazy bc he pauses it every minute to criticize something. LOL. And the entire scene of the last show down with the prisoners when Rick goes chasing after the little guy -- I kept yelling, "Let him go! He will die anyway!" (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[In the end, when it was down to those two former prisoners, I might've considered having them join our group instead of leaving the unknown lurking somewhere around the prisons. Really, they aren't used to walkers and could end up accidentally killing one of the main group if they venture out of their block. I don't know, I'm not sure the addition of that group added anything to the story. Guess we'll see how it plays out with them in future episodes. (hide spoiler)]

I know there's a lot of gripes about the show, but it's still better than other zombie shows out there with the character development and ongoing storyline. Not just a bunch of stupid people walking into their impending deaths against slow moving diseased folk (another thing questionable).

I do like it a lot better than some other shows, like Revolution *shivers* they need to get some better actors in that one.

I didn't cry but I felt darn depressed! I just finished the Walking Dead game which also had the same effect on me, how can a show/game make us feel so emotional?

Episode 4 was a really powerful episode. This season is definitely the best so far.

It's great when the writers are able to get us so emotionally attached to their characters (books, TV or movies) that we feel their pain, joy, etc.

I'm thrilled to see the two locations starting to overlap. Anxious to see what happens next.

Hi Steph, You may have already figures this out from subsequent episodes, but my understanding was (view spoiler)[L knew she was dying because of the blood loss and wanted to be absolutely sure the baby would survive. So she asked Maggie to take extreme measures and cut it out.

Carl did shoot his mother. She was dragged off and eaten by the walker Rick found just around the corner. It was so glutted it couldn't even move. Her grave was empty and so was Carol's. Which begs the question: Why dig them in the first place? Why not just place the cross/marker and let it be?

I'm absolutely thrilled that Carol is still alive. My heart was breaking for Darryl in that hallway, thinking he was going to have to go in and finish off Carol's walker. (hide spoiler)]

Wow! The Mid-season finale last night was great. So many story lines finally converging, new characters (view spoiler)[ including Tyrese (hide spoiler)] showed up, the cliffhanger ending. I was not ready for it to be over.

About that cliffhanger: (view spoiler)[I'll be seriously upset if Daryl dies. I know Rick's journey is the driving force of the comics and it is interesting to watch the evolution of his character. I have to admit though, Daryl's my favorite and one of the top reasons I anticipate each new episode.

I think they revealed too much with the preview if they wanted to maintain the suspense over what happens to Daryl & Merle. There was clearly a shot of Daryl, walking in daylight and holding a crossbow. There was also a shot of Glenn, also in daylight, shouting something like "What's he doing here?". That level of antipathy can only mean he's pointing at Merle. Unless they are using clips from a flashback or dream sequence, I don't think I have to worry too much about Daryl's demise. Right on target about Andrea! LOL. Chris Hardwick has made the same observation a couple times on The Talking Dead. Speaking of ...

Do you watch The Talking Dead? It's really interesting, with guests, polls, sneak peeks of the next episode, and viewer questions. Last nights guests were author Robert Kirkman and Lost creator Damon Lindelof. There was a funny back-from-commercial gag referencing both Walking Dead and Lost. Chris held up a hand on which he had written "Not Penny's boat" and had his cheeks puffed out as if holding his breath underwater.

I'm surprised that you aren't loving this season, because it's so much better than the last one (500 days on a farm anyone?). there's so much sweet, sweet drama and the zombies and that's what Walking Dead is about.

I agree with you with the Andrea hate, she's pretty much lost all chance of being people's favourite character. (view spoiler)[I totally thought that after the heads and Michonne thing that she would have left him for good, but she's in too deep and she knows it. I know, Tyreese actually replaces Shane as Rick's right hand man in the comics so I was really surprised when he turned him away! But I don't think that's the last we've seen of them.

Last season did have some slow moments, but the barn scene made it all worth it! Also, I liked Glen finding love and the Shane-Rick conflict was so much more interesting than Andrea's irritating indecision and Rick's mental breakdown in Season 3. I'm glad to see Rick pulling himself back together.

I think Andrea should assassinate the Governor. But I would run I think, you can't go against an army full of men and military grade guns. But that wouldn't make for good TV, would it?

I am surprised at Andrea, it deviates from her character almost completely. She has to see how ineffectual she is there.

I think so too, but she would have to kill his two underlyings too. I think otherwise, they would likely carry out his plans.
