For those interested, here are a few articles about new/returning shows: (not sure of spoilers, so read at your own risk)

I've got half a season of Fear still to watch and I watched the first ep of the new one and haven't watched any since.

Am surprised that they haven't included Negan as well TBH.

I want to finish watching TWD but hubby is no longer interested. And it's one of those series that you can't not pay attention when you're watching, so I can't let it play while I'm doing other things. Maybe folding laundry...
I only watched a few episodes of FWD and didn't like it as much as TWD characters, so I am ready to be done too.
But again, I will miss chatting with you...where else do you chat on a regular (or like this discussion occasional basis).

My hubby has been watching for the same reason as me, but he'd probably have no problem letting it go early if I said I was done before the end. We both bitch and bemoan the time of great storylines.
Me too. I bounce around here, different book chats, but TV wise this was my more active by far. I'm a big couch potato, so if there's another show you'd like to chat about, just throw out some names and I'm sure we'll find another match. I'm happy to chat whenever about whatever :)

I actually really enjoy Victor Strand as a character that I love to hate.
Have you guys heard that they are planning yet another spin off with Maggie and... Negan🤑🤢🤑!

I do want to watch Outlander. When I started to watch it before, every time my husband walked through the room, someone was having sex. And he'd say, what are you watching?! Lol
I have been toying with the idea of rewatching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but I think I'd rather read than watch a show.
What do you think?
@ kittykat AKA Jo Tortitude ~ I love to hate Negan, but I'm tired of him already. I was never a huge fan of Maggie, so not sure about that spin off. The only one I have the slightest interest in is Carol and Daryl and I'm not sure I even care about them anymore.

LOL, I was over Negan before he even appeared onscreen, and was over C&D SEASONS ago! Always was a Maggie fan, so everything in total opposite to you 🤣.
Currently really enjoying The Gilded Age, can't wait for Bridgerton S2 in a couple of days, that's about all I'm interested in immediately.

I watch a bunch of TV. Some I could definitely chat about ... Evil, Bridgerton, Servant and From. I'm sure there are others, too.

Tales of the Walking Dead (AMC /14 Aug)
Tales of the Walking Dead is an episodic anthology with individual episodes or arcs of episodes focused on new or existing characters, backstories or other stand-alone experiences in The Walking Dead universe.

Another spin-off? Sheesh. I might check it out. I'm kinda over TWD and anxious for the main series to wrap up this fall.

As for Negan... they still haven't killed him off??? And I'm expected to believe that him and Maggie go off on their own? No thanks.
I finished season 10 and haven't watched anything else since not sure if I'll bother with 11, but will watch the Rick/Michonne limited when it hits. I knew the Rick movies weren't going to happen, but I'm really glad that we'll get to know what happened to him and see him reunite with his family (again).

I could see Maggie hunting Negan and working on revenge, but together or allies. Hmmm. Tough sell.
It would be interesting to see what happened to Rick and see him reunited with Michonne and the kids.
They have sure gotten their money's worth from this series and all the spin offs.

S11 addresses more with Maggie & Negan. We've watched parts 1-2 and are only anxiously awaiting part 3, so we can be done with it all. I've never watched World Beyond and don't have any desire to return to Fear, stopped at S05.
Spotted this article yesterday:
The Walking Dead Preview Special Will Tease Rick and Michonne Series (https://comicbook.com/tv-shows/news/t...)
AMC has announced the guests who will reveal intel on The Walking Dead spinoff shows live on Talking Dead. The network will air an hour-long special titled The Walking Dead Universe Preview to tease the new spinoffs in the expanding universe around The Walking Dead, including the just-announced series reuniting Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira). Airing Sunday, August 7, ahead of the series premiere of Tales of the Walking Dead (which arrives on August 14), Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick will welcome actors and creators from across AMC's TWD Universe for a special preview of the shows airing this year and beyond.
[...]
They include Tales of the Walking Dead, an episodic anthology developed by Gimple; Isle of the Dead, which sees rivals Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) travel together into post-apocalyptic Manhattan; the Europe-set solo series focused on Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus); and Lincoln and Gurira's as-yet-untitled Rick and Michonne series that replaces the Walking Dead movie trilogy.
[...]
The network has stated that Isle of the Dead and the untitled Daryl and Rick/Michonne series will premiere in 2023, but release dates remain TBA. Tales of the Walking Dead premieres August 14, followed by The Walking Dead: The Last Episodes October 2 on AMC.

The Walking Dead: 10 Things That STILL Don’t Make Sense

I would add
Why does Dirtyl STILL have a working motorbike?

and
Why did no one ask Tara where Heath (and his DREADFUL wig🤣) was when she returned alone, on foot, after their run?

I'm sooooo ready to put TWD to bed.

How are you liking the ending thus far?

"Liking" would be an overstatement. We watched the first two parts just to get it done. I'm not happy with how the season is going and now I'm even more disappointed (how's that even possible at this point?!) b/c they've announced the spin-offs. So, now we all know who won't die; as sad as it was in the earlier seasons to lose fan-faves knowing who won't die is kinda worse, IMO.

@ Steph ~ Oh, so true. Knowing who doesn't die would be worse! I don't feel like I'm invested with most of the remaining and new characters as of when I stopped watching. But that's kind of why I guess I lost interest.

The worse! WTH, Gimple! Nothing they've chosen to do with the show has made sense for a while now. Sad considering how it was once a must-watch-as-it-airs show for us.

When I first watched it, it was by binging seasons 1-7 (about ep 3 or 4 I think) because I wasn't expecting to like it (not a fan of zombies generally) but had heard so much that I needed to try and FELL IN LOVE! The characters and what they went through just really called to me, and being a Brit and knowing Andy Lincoln from his earlier works (This Life and Teachers in particular) I was blown away by how so very different he was as Rick.
And even though I'm in no hurry to watch what is left, I will probably binge that when I get round to it, it's the only way I watch TV now.

Awwwww.
I haven't watched anything else that I have enough to chat about - I rarely watch TV now!

Me too. I rarely watch current TV shows. I am currently trying to finish watching Criminal Minds, but I've even gotten tired of that series. And it was my favorite show for years. I used to love Medium, but I've never seen the last season or two because I didn't have a DVR back then. So I am re-watching the whole show. And I just started watching Bridgertons. And I finished re-watching Monk earlier this year.
I have DVR'ed the first few episodes of the new Quantum Leap show. I used to like that show back with Scott Bakula in it. But haven't watched any yet. I also have the first season of Clarice on my DVR and the first few seasons of The Closer.
I know, pretty diverse selection of shows.

I've seen both Bridgertons, all of Medium, The Closer (AH, another SOSer, is a big fan of that series). Hubby watches reruns of Monk, I could take them or leave them despite totally relating (though I'm nowhere near as bad) to his OCDness.
Are you watching or gonna watch Lord of the Rings: Ring of Power, House of Dragons or Interview with the Vampire?
