I'm in - but can someone who has read Shiver, by Maggie Stiefvater, please tell me what they think about the book? Oh, by the way, the book is amazing... but the end confused me a little bit. (Sorry, spoiler, but I really need to know the answer.) In the end, it says that Sam's a ghost, watching Grace. But on the last page it says that he talked to her, and she could hear him and see him. So, did he turn human again, or is he still a ghost? Shiver

Ya know--I'm starting to really regret deciding to do this challenge. Simply because my stupid ISP is acting up. Its up, its down, its moving at the speed of an arthritic turtle. In short--its driving me NUTS and taking so long to do anything, IF I can even get in, that I'm about ready to pull my hair out. And its been like this for over a week now.

Half the pages that I try to go to in GR I'm getting error messages about--and this after the silly thing sits and grinds and grinds and grinds away for 3 or 4 minutes.

I'm starting to think about printing out my Word page with what i need on it and going to the library and using a public computer to get in. Hum, or maybe I'll take the laptop over to Starbucks and sit and NOT drink an over-priced cup of coffee. (I'm allergic to coffee, which is why I won't be drinking it)

Ok, I have everything except for a book club read (#8) and frankly, I can't find one that from my groups. But I am only showing FOUR books in this category for my groups (hey, I only belong to 16, think maybe I should join a few more, just for this challenge?)

And finding books in some of the OTHER categories is not easy either. I had to really SEARCH for a book that I hadn't already read. Plus, well, I was trying to stick to only books that I already owned for this month. Did not succeed. Fortunately, the one that I did not have the library had (now, if it just GETS HERE)

Thoughts on Kamikaze by Moira Rogers
I really liked Crux by Moira Rogers, so after that I added all books to my TBR list that seemed interesting. I found the premised of this series very intriguing. Magical beings order a drink in a bar, which is a code for their specific needs It's erotica, but it's erotica with a good idea behind the plot. Unfortunately I didn't realize Kamikaze was a short-story/mini novella, so after reading it for this challenge on the first day, I felt totally guilty that I didn't read a real book. So I got myself the others in the series and read them all in one night :p

I really liked how the inner wolf of the two main characters conflicted with the man and the woman. I liked how geeky they both were. It felt like there could have been a whole story and not just this one night. I liked how it ended with them agreeing to go out on a date, and not with a forced HEA after just one night.
The other stories were good as well, they all had interesting premises and magical problem situations. I did loose interest a bit in the last one, but maybe I just had had to much erotica for one evening :)
So, all in all 3 stars because it was a nice, but too short story.
