I just made a new thread for you Carol, as this one will get lost in the comments. With your own thread, you can add to it, and promote as you go along:)

Hi Mandy! And big Waves to Michael for inviting me.
I've been writing for 12 years with over 30 bestsellers
and award winners across 2 pen-names:
Anita Bell, Rated G
AA Bell, Rated M
I write Bell's Blog; The Ballady Blog with a Real ring to it...
often featuring fun little animations I love to make.
I'm also the only writer ever to win the prestigious Hemming Award for SF & Fantasy twice. First for Diamond Eyes, and then for it's sequel Hindsight, with the grand finale Leopard Dreaming launching just in time for the holiday season. Yayyy!

Hi Anita, welcome! Mandy is no longer one of our moderators, but there are others of us who will help you out:) Please introduce yourself in this thread http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/3... so the rest of the group can say hi!
I would also suggest you make your own thread, within this folder, exactly as you have done your post. The reason being, it will get lost in here, and if you have your own thread, you can always go back there and update, promote etc. Plus we as members always know where to look, to find out about your books:)
If you're not sure how to do that, please let me know, and I'll help you:)

Thought i'd add my books also, (then i'll start my own thread Brenda) which were all released this year. I finally got the courage to tell people that I write.
The Beast Within

First Sight

Haunted

Haunted is sitting at #2 for Best Covers for 2012 in listopia on this site, so stop by and cast your vote before new years.
Thanks

Nice to see Australians about. I'm still finding my way around here, and might have done this in the wrong order - I've made a thread, but could I be added to the Australian author list too please?
I'm in rural NSW, in the Monaro, and use the area as a setting. Hi to everyone and thanks to the organisers for organising this list!
And hah, I just wrote organise with an 's'. It's like coming home.

I've written four novels published by an e-press publisher. One, titled, 'Heat in the Outback,' which readers are enjoying immensely. I have another due out in May titled, 'Outback Fear,' A suspense with a touch of romance. A book written by a woman for all women.
Blurb:
Savannah Harris is determined to raise her three-month-old daughter in the best possible environment, and returns home to Grace Creek, an inheritance from her recently deceased mother.
But even this peaceful property cannot cocoon her from her abusive husband or a stranger who plans to rip her life apart.
In an atmosphere thick with fear, Savannah realises she cannot keep running, she must fight back or risk losing not only her life, but the only family she has left, her precious daughter.

Suzanne, I suggest you start your own thread within this folder, as this post (and subsequently all your information) will get lost as time goes by. If you check out what others have done, you will see what's best. If you need any help, please ask:)

I'm Lily Malone, this year I've been lucky enough to have two contemporary romances published, the first (March) His Brand of Beautiful with Escape Publishing (digital only), the second (May) a new novella called The Goodbye Ride. (It's free at Amazon for another 48 hours if you'd like to see if it's something that might interest you). It's currently sitting 550th in the Kindle Free books list - spinning me out completely!

Hi Lily, we have an Author’s section specifically for Authors to promote their books. You’re more then welcome to set up a new thread for yourself.

If you make a new thread for yourself Lily, it won't get lost here in this thread. You can promote all your work in your own thread. Click on the link Mish gave you, and in the top right hand corner you will see "new topic", just click on that, and go from there:) Good luck (I downloaded The Goodbye Ride a couple of days ago!)
Congrats as well!

and I am actually... -not- planning on doing promotions at the moment. There were a lot of critical flaws in the writing of the book that made me want to dial back on the promotions.
When I finish book 2 and feel confident in the writing, then I will start my own thread and share my writing journey with you all.
Thanks for having me, looking forward to participating in group discussions!

Lovely to know you will make your own thread Wilmar...welcome to our group. I was going to mention that this will be lost in here, but you got in first;) Good luck with it all.

Mike I have made a new thread for you, as this one will get lost in here.... with your own thread you'll be able to post in there whenever you like, promoting your work etc.

Liza, if you could make your own thread within this Author folder, you will get much more traffic with people checking out your work. Your post will get lost here in this thread, and that would be a shame. For giveaways, you can also post here https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...
Congratulations and good luck:)

Ah, sorry, Brenda... I will delete from here and post in the Author folder. Thank you!

Winston is a good-looking palomino horse whose life involves several different owners and many adventures. As you read his story, told by Winston himself, you will appreciate horse ownership from the horse’s point of view. Born on a country property in Australia, Winston tells of his breaking-in and education and the different people he encounters – good, bad and ignorant. As well as his own story, Winston includes the experiences of other horses he meets along life’s way.

Rita, if you make your own thread in this Authors section, you can post and promote your work in that thread whenever you want to. But putting it in here means it will get lost and you won't receive the full benefit that you should.
Go here https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group... then click on "new topic" in the top right hand corner, and go from there. Good luck, and congratulations on

I love the sound of this story. I have and still l am playing with a story about a horse (such a Clydesdale) who wants to become an Olympic dressage horse. Will look out for your book.

I'm planning a big year for book releases next year. First I'm going to do a major publicity push for The Witchcraft Wars series Erich's Plea currently free, Ursula's Quest and the finale Slade's Destiny
Plus I'm hoping to do three monthly releases of my new fantasy series The Verex Saga. There will be 4 in this series - The Barbarian's Sword, The Knights Shield, The Shaman's Staff and The King's Crown.
It's set in the same world as The Witchcraft Wars and introduces a new race of people, the Verex, whose civilization is on the verge of collapse and what they do to try and stop the destruction. Like all my books it will be a lot of action and adventure, magic, destiny, plenty of intrigue and suspense with some romance thrown in for a change.
I also have a series of paranormal detective stories due for staggered releases next year. They're tentatively titled The Jay Truly Case Files. Jay is a P.I. and a 'seer' and can see things that other people can't so these seemingly ordinary crimes turn out to have a supernatural answer. It's a bit of a genre jump for me but I'm very excited about them and Jay as a character is so very cool.... she's actually based a little bit on my eldest niece J, hence the name :)
I hope I've posted this in the right place
Tracey, I've created a thread for you, so you can always post there - update us on progress etc. Here your posts will get lost:) Good luck with it all...here's the link:

Thanks Brenda,
I'm pretty excited about everything going on at the moment - just in case you hadn't noticed ;)

Already have two non-fiction, a collection of poems and another smaller collection of short stories up there BUT I loaded these too very soon after learning about it from Malcolm Walker during a workshop run by Eyre Writers AND the presentation is embarrassingly amateur. Have not taken down as one or two are being downloaded fairly frequently and occasionally purchased. Really only mention here in that a more detailed bio on my page there.
Did stretch my pension to purchase a cover for "The Trustees" - nothing flash but then flash would not suit the story.
Received a Goodreads comment on "Life Before Lithium" several years ago - when I recounted the comment at the GenreCon in Parramatta last year the reaction was as mine - bipolar and you are expecting structure! Given I had stated on the Smashwords page that the book would be taking folk on a microcosmic experience of someone on a bipolar journey.
Enough for one day - it is Christmas and this atheist has been to the gym, watched all the Xmas stuff on TV then received a call letting me know a fellow writer will be calling around this afternoon - well that got the carpet swept!
Have a good day all, wherever you are and whatever you believe.

The Scholar's Tale is a semi-autobiographical novel about a textual critic who leaves his wife to meet a former mistress in Tunisia. In one year he gets his second divorce, visits 3 continents and remarries always heading for disaster. Roy, the hero is a serious seeker of enlightenment but although steeped in textual study he is less adept in reading the book of life.
Hi David, if you make your own thread within this Author folder you'll get the notice of the members much easier than this thread:) https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group... Top right hand corner says "new topic", click on that then go from there. If you link your book title too, it'll make it easier for people to check it out:) Let me know if you have any trouble:)

If you have some free time, I would love for you to have a read and let me know what you thought of it. I've found that although I have a facebook page, people are loathe to post on it, so am finding it really difficult to get honest feedback.
Thank you for your time, I appreciate it.

I have three historical romances contracted with Kensington Lyrical, each set in 1860 Australia.
I would like these to go in the section for Aussie writers but I don't see where to ask about that. I don't intend to self promote. I just want my books with the other Aussie books. Virginia Taylor

Hi all, my historical saga Or Forever Be Damned was released in late 2014 in eBook, then had its paperback edition launched this week. I'm grateful to have been blessed with glowing reader reviews (and will also, in a separate Goodreads forum, be announcing a Goodreads giveaway offer from 1 - 14 November 2014, in which 5 paperbacks will be offered to entrants from USA, UK, Canada and Australia). Below is a brief synopsis and links:
Mona — a poor but respectable Protestant teenaged factory girl, is tormented by sibling rivalry over her favoured artistic younger brother, Ambrose. Untrained and against parental orders, stagestruck Mona resolves to outshine Ambrose, furtively pursuing a theatrical career. Into her journey, Mona unearths her younger bête noire, Kat — a Catholic rough-diamond child-veteran entertainer who, conversely, yearns to escape theatre life.
So begins their lifelong enmity.
Or Forever Be Damned is an historical saga spanning eight decades, following the lives and families of two very different women who escape the slums of northern England’s ‘Cottonopolis’, Salford, in the 1930′s Slump — a simmering irrational enmity that lives on in modern day Australia.
Or Forever Be Damned
NB Due to Amazon Australia not selling print books, you'll obviously only find the eBook edition there, but the paperback edition is on amazon.com & amazon.co.uk alongside the eBook edition.

My pleasure. Not sure when i will get to it at this stage as i have quite a few vying for attention atm, but rest assured C.S it will go in with my fav choices of historical fiction. :)

Performance is going really well on Amazon so far, I've got the number 27 bestseller spot on the Kindle Australia for but I'm working hard to get more discussion and reviews going.
My book is called "Get More For Your Home" and it's a non fiction book about how to sell your property in Australia without paying an agent a huge commission.
Looking forward to any advice from more experienced people, and any thoughts or questions about the book :)
