0/4

Sturgeon: The River Knows by Amanda Quick

Beaver: Lone Wolf by Kathryn Lasky

If it's ok, I'll edit this entry if I pick books for the other groups ahead of time.

message 62: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (vanessamc) | 394 comments Umm, question:

Do we read the books in order by the date of the moon within the group? In other words, can I read all 4 books in the first group anytime between 8/24 and 12/20, or do I have to read, like the sturgeon moon from 8/24 to 9/23 and then not start the harvest moon until 9/23?

message 63: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments you can read them in any order (re. moons in each period)...but you can only read the 4 moons for the assigned period during that time...does that make sense?

message 64: by Dina (last edited Aug 23, 2010 03:10PM) (new)

only one sure title so far; working on the others

message 72: by Sherrie (new)

Sherrie (vampirekisses2) | 48 comments Sounds fun, I will start out as Moon Walker and maybe increase later.

message 73: by Jacalyn (new)

Jacalyn | 23 comments OK, I'm going to give this a go. I'm going to have to figure out my list based off the roughly 80 bazillion books on my TBR. ;)

My question is, can we bang out all the books in one fell swoop of manic reading or are we supposed to only read by the quarter breakdowns? IE No Group 2 books in the first quarter?

I'm going to be conservative and say Moon-Walker just because I have not been able to give my full TBR a look-see based on these categories. Here's hoping I can do that and more!

message 74: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments only read by third (each section is 4 months...) - so 4 books in each section if you are a moon walker...so no, no group 2 books in group 1

message 75: by Dina (new)

Dina (missdina) | 807 comments Delicious Dee, is Surrender by Pamela Clare considered a Western Romance?

message 76: by Jacalyn (new)

Jacalyn | 23 comments That's what I thought, but i wanted to clarify. :) I'm going to have to work to make some of these work out. But I"m gonna give it a whirl all the same! :) I have no real game plan for my reading currently, just trying to get through all of these books! So I could definitely hold back a book until the right time period. :)

Road Romances devote large sections to journeys, either by land or by sea. They are filled with adventure, danger, and excitement. Often the hero and heroine travel alone, allowing them to know one another intimately and in unique ways.

Debbie (db_debber) | 2757 comments Inspiration: (and one of the reasons I loved this book)

"I'm homesick all the time," she said, still not looking at him "I just don't know where home is. There's this promise of happiness out there. I know it. I even feel it sometimes. But it's like chasing the moon - just when I think I have it, it disappears into the horizon. I grieve and try to move on, but then the damn thing comes back the next night, giving me hope of catching it all over again."
— Sarah Addison Allen (The Girl Who Chased the Moon)
