I FUCKING LOVE IT when drive through places add cream and sugar for me. I hate, nay loathe, those communal dispensaries.

Angela~twistedmind~ (twistedmind) | 538 comments Ignorant ass parents who bring their sick kids to daycare.....and they fucking know the kid is sick. Makes me want to kick their ass up between their shoulder blades!! You damn well know that your kid is now going to make everyone else sick. You also damn well know that I'm gonna call you at work and tell you to come get jr.. You also, if you've done this before, damn well know I'm gonna get in your shit about it and hurt your little feelings when I tell you about yourself.

It bugs me when I'm staring at my neighbors through a gap in the curtains or the shade, and they see me. Fuckers! I'm trying to be discreet here.

(p.s. evie you need to track down a pocket-sized expandable cattle rod for this sort of occasion, or one of those bleeping fog horn type things..)

~Geektastic~ (atroskity) | 3205 comments A thing that bugs me: when my boss tells me I need to become a notary, when he knows full well you are not supposed to notarize documents for the company you already work for.

message 1618: by Cheri (last edited Mar 21, 2012 10:04PM) (new)

Cheri | 795 comments Today the (female) Police Chief next town over got fired for sexual harassment and falsifying crime reports for government grants. The city paid her $250K to leave peacefully and not sue them. Now the city has to pay back the grants so it is raising fees on the baseball leagues because they don't have any money. I want to get paid tons of money to fuck up royally.

Z, I just don't accept friend requests from authors unless I've had previous normal contact with them proving to me they are not just collecting "friends" to schlep their wares.

message 1630: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Amelia is smart. Even though she doesn't talk to me anymore.

message 1636: by [deleted user] (new)

Hey, Sallers! How're things?

Hi, Felix! (Wasn't aware I wasn't talking to you...I just haven't been around as much "In Group".) I'll talk to you if you haven't showered, I just won't hug you.

*Hugs Sally*

message 1637: by Félix (new)

I have two friend requests currently pending. I don't know either of the people. One has almost 1300 friends and over 5000 books (a great many TBR), the other is north of 500 friends.

I'm probably going to turn both of them down. They seem to be collectors.

WWSD? (What Would Sallers Do?)

message 1641: by Cynthia (new)

Rule of thumb on that is, they have to have more books than friends AND if I'm questioning it I do a book comparison. We have to have more than 10 books in common with more than 60% alike.

*edit* They have to have actually READ the books in common...

Félix wrote: "How are things in Portland? I haven't been there in a while."

Portland is cold and rainy...most rain for March in recorded history. *sigh* Normally I quite like the rain, but I'm getting a little water logged just now. I want to wear flip-flops again! Plus, nothing much fun goes on when it's all rainy and gloomy. And, I'm dying to try out this new Macro lens I got at the Japanese Garden, but I need the sun to come out and bloom some flowers for me.

I have nearly 150 friend requests just languishing in the folder.

All thumbs down, all thumbs up, or a combination? Do you compare books to see if you are well-matched?

message 1650: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Authors are an automatic down. Others get some consideration.
