I missed the whole kitty sniffer episode. Someone said her name was Carolyn but I don't know any Carolyns.

It expands my theory about C named people. Especially Clark.

message 1104: by Cyril (new)

Cyril What theory?

Heh. >:) Wouldn't you like to know?

::cackles maniacally::

message 1106: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) :)

message 1107: by Cyril (new)

Cyril Does it apply to soft C-named people as opposed to hard C-named people?

"+1" is something that bugs me.

Margaret | 12 comments I've never liked "My bad!"

Jim | 6484 comments Wow - what a weekend.

You are an entertaining lot.

Sally, what is your theory on J named people?

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
My feeling about J named people is that because of their challenges faced in 3rd grade introduction to cursive writing and penmanship courses they are a resultant empathetic and friendly bunch.

message 1113: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments You're the greatest Sallers.

message 1114: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments Barb wrote: "That they're jimtastic?"

::blushes::

message 1115: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments I was an S named person back then.

message 1116: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments You're still the greatest Dutch person I know whether you are J named or S named!

message 1117: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments I'm pretty sure Clark will put out RA, you just need to wear a powder blue tuxedo whilst sporting a 70's afro.

message 1118: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments I think that cursive uppercase S is far more complicated than a swoopy J.

Surely you Jest!

message 1120: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments I always thought the H was the hardest.

message 1121: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments The H you say?

message 1122: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I have always sucked at cursive. L was the only upper case I was ever good at. Fortunately, it starts my signature.

message 1123: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) And yes Janine is the janabulousest.

message 1124: by [deleted user] (new)

So how are you with F's monkeyboy?

message 1125: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Not good.

My favorite cursive letter is the capital G.

It makes me happy to be a teacher just so that I can draw G's on the chalkboard.

message 1127: by [deleted user] (new)

It's always been a favourite of mine. :)

message 1128: by Andrea (new)

Andrea | 74 comments I always hated my cursive.... I'm lefty, and my print is a lot neater.... When I sign my name .. It looks like a toddle had a sugar rush with a pen in their hand...

message 1129: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11837 comments Writing an upper-case "Q" in cursive is difficult for me.

~Geektastic~ (atroskity) | 3205 comments Phil wrote: "Writing an upper-case "Q" in cursive is difficult for me."

I always thought the Q was weird. It looks like a "2" but fancier.

message 1131: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments I must admit I have forgotten what most upper case letters look like.

message 1132: by Jim (new)

Janine and Kevin must be distant relatives.

message 1134: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11837 comments She loves to tour the Netherlands, he loves to touch his nether regions.

Close enough, I suppose.

Glad you said that, as I was thinking Hi Karate.

message 1139: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments By spellcheck, do you mean the fact that it does a squiggly underline on words it doesn't like? 'Spellcheck' is squiggly underlined right now.

message 1140: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments GR does the red underline when I don't write in Dutch.

message 1141: by Jammies (new)

Jammies BunWat wrote: "Badunk!

It would be excessive to start blocking people for poor spelling, right?"

Yes, it would be excessive to block people for poor spelling, however, it would not be excessive to block people for inability to distinguish homonyms.

It shouldn't bother me that my cousin insists on pluralizing her family's name with 's, but it does. Too bad I can't block holiday cards from her. :p

Jim | 6484 comments BunWat wrote: "I dont get a red underline."

Then you're not trying.

message 1143: by Scout (new)

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3594 comments I'm bugged that the actions of a few fucked-up bad people have made me wary of contributing to any good cause. I'm going with a more direct approach this year.

message 1144: by Scout (new)

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3594 comments Yes. I'm looking for ways to give directly to people who can use extra income. The man who delivers my paper, the person who serves me in a restaurant, the person who puts the groceries in my car. I know where those dollars are going.

message 1145: by Cheri (new)

Cheri | 795 comments It bugs me when that person comes to a pot luck with a crappy loaf of store bought bread and then takes all the yummy homemade leftovers in my Tupperware (never to return it) when no one is looking.
