If you're anything like me, once you find an author you love you must read anything and everything you can that was ever written by them, even if it's out of print. Well here's a place to keep track of all those books and challenge yourself to read them. Just make a list of all the books they wrote and then read them. Just mark them off as you go. This is another one of those challenges that can be short or lengthy depending on who you choose. Happy reading.

That's an impressive list. I've watched a bunch of King's movies, but never read any of his books. I have 2 of Koontz's books on my shelf, but haven't read any of his books yet. I'm not familiar with John Saul. I may need to look into his books. Is Saul's writing similar to Koontz's and King's?
yep, they are all in the same spooky horror genre, though Saul's plotlines are sometimes a little predictable.
Thanks, I keep seeing his name, but didn't know what he wrote. I used to watch horror flicks all the time, then I had kids and I swear some hormone kicked in and I wasn't able to watch them any more. I may have to try the movies again. I've noticed some of the foods I wasn't able to eat after kids I can again. Maybe the same is true of the movies? BTW, I've never heard of it happening to anyone else.
I can't speak for foods, but any movie or book that involvs a child being in danger, being sick, or dying, I just can't read anymore. I used to read them like any other book/movie, but after having our munchkin, I just get too upset and I can't enjoy the plotline. Thank goodness I got "My Sister's Keeper" in before Sophia was born. It was an amazing novel, but there is no way that I would read it now! Must be a "mom-thing". Haha!

It was an amazing novel, but there is no way that I would read it now! Must be a "mom-thing". Haha!" Trisha, I'm the same way. I also try to avoid those books and movies. I read Lovely Bones and although it was a good book, I had a really hard time reading it. A friend recommended it, but I couldn't get over the death. It kind of cast a shadow over the rest of the book for me. From my friend's recommendation I somehow got the impression it would focus only on her after life, which it does, but it starts out with her murder.
Katherine, happy reading on your Lisa Kleypas books. She's one of my favorite authors, but I noticed a new series on your list that I haven't read - the Friday Harbor books. Is this a contemporary or historical series? I tried her Travis series but wasn't all that impressed, altho I realize I'm in the minority on that!

I can't do kids in peril stuff much either anymore now that I'm a mother. It's progressed into teenagers as well because my daughter is about to turn 13 which is terrifying.
This is my first challenge! Loving this idea! But obviously I'm not going to include books that I'm not interested in, because a good author is a good author, but if it's a plot that really doesn't intrigue me, I'm not going to waste my time!Aidan Chambers:
Breaktime
Now I Know
Postcards from No Man's Land
Dance on My Grave: A Life and a Death in Four Parts ...
The Toll Bridge

I think this is a pretty good amount for now. I'm not sure how quickly I'll get through them, because I absolutely hate reading books of the same author in a row. But I'll get them all eventually and I'm very excited!

Additional: I have The Stone Prince if you're having trouble locating it. Be happy to lend it to you.
Sans, Thanks I got The Stone Prince for my Birthday. Amazon is selling it and The Pleasure Slave. BTW The Pleasure Slave was quite enjoyable.*blush* I love titles that can make you blush when you use them in a sentence. lol I got that copy off Ebay. I also got Animal Instinct, Catch a Mate, and Blacklisted too. If you don't have any of those let me know and I'll send them to you after I've read them. I've got to bump the other 2 books I borrowed from you up on my list. I think I'm finally finding time to read again.
Catch a Mate was a great book. Funny and sexy. I can get Animal Instincts through my library. Could I borrow The Pleasure Slave? Thanks doll! And no rush sending it or the books I sent you back. I've got 21 books out from the library right now and another 18 on hold. @_@
Okey Dokey Sans.Sashana, I liked Catch a Mate, but I liked The Pleasure Slave better. I read it yesterday and still need to add it to my list of books I've read.

Looks like a fun and challenging challenge to me. :) I started the Women's Murder Club and will get back to it one of these days. I wish the TV show hadn't been cancelled. I loved it.
They scheduled it on a Friday night, which to me usually spells instant death to a series. I think it was on in 2007/2008. It only lasted the one season.
I couldn't get into the Alex cross books. I read the first 3 and I just thought he made some really poor decisions. I liked his sidekick better. I haven't heard of the Women's Murder Club, will have to check those out.
I also hope to read all of Lisa Kleypas' books!Berkley - Faulkner:

Christine I already read all of Kleypas' books. I can't wait till her Friday Harbor series comes out. I even read her out of print books. I go crazy like that when I love an author. :)

What are the oop books... are there any others besides the 2 Berkley - Faulkner books?
I believe there are 4 or 5 out of print books. Besides Where Passion leads and Forever My Love, Give Me tonightand Love Come to Me are also out of print. A fifth book, Only in Your Arms, was rewritten by Kleypas and called When Strangers Marry. The version I read (if I remember correctly) said Kleypas' mom didn't like the origianal too much so Kleypas reworked it later and had it republished under the new name.
Hmm. I think I'll do Jodi Piccoult. I've been meaning to re-read all her books, and finish the ones I haven't started yet.2. Mercy

Yoo-hoo Lisarenee... you're almost done! Lisa K needs to get busy & write more books! ;)
If I have my way with this challenge it will be like the energizer bunny. You know, where it keeps going on and on.lol
For everyone doing a Kleypas challenge don't forget Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor comes out on October 26th.
I revised my challenge a little bit because I've added so many authors to the list. I have 5+ books in the TBR of all the authors listed and I know I like each author. So why am I not reading them? Anyway-I changed my challenge to read 3 by each. I'm going to try not to add anymore to the list at this point.

Just have to wait for the next one now.
I added another author! I am unpacking my books and I keep finding authors that I know I like and have 5+ books for but I keep putting them aside for new to me authors. So now my challenge to just read 50 books from the combined list of authors in the year from when the challenge started.
I like this idea. So here is a list of Lisa Kleypas books that I would like to read. Hathaways:
