Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) If it was just one or two of us, I'd feel bad about it, but you never know who's going to start chatting. It could be me, Brit, Jessica, Carina, Meg, etc. depending on who happens to be on.

All I can say is that when people stop talking, groups tend to die, so I'd rather have to wade through random conversation then have 2 people a day posting what book they're reading and that's all the action the group sees.

I just want to say to all of the new people, don't stop posting what you're reading, or even jumping into the conversations. We don't bite. I promise.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) So she's a polygamist vampire? Huh...that might make for an interesting book.

AND. I used to like Edward too. Then I moved on to Jacob.

Jess (jess_readsromance) That's fair enough. Jacob is hot. But a vampire will love you forever

Shifters?

Jace <3

Marc 3

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Yay Shifters!

message 4868: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) Haven't read it yet. But I like the idea of another Jace hehehe

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Anyone can start topics, so if it's something you want to talk about ever, don't be afraid to make a topic in the general section.

It's just hard not to comment if someone mentions a book they're reading and it's one we're excited about. Fever pretty much took over for a few weeks there. Anytime someone even hints at Night Huntress you'll see people popping in to comment on Bones. We have quite a few Bones lovers here.

message 4870: by Book Sushi (new)

Book Sushi (BookSushi) | 97 comments yeah the shifters series, Jessica you should read them, its really good. you fall in love with the characters so easily and you get sucked right into the story which always makes it an enjoyable read. :)

message 4871: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) Yep they're on my to read list. I'm behind on certain books which is why I have't joined in Bones conversations and Barrons. Though they talk about them so much on threads I practically know them!

message 4872: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) BONES!! <3 (couldnt resist)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I love the Shifters series. We have at least 5 of us in this group that are big fans. Brit just has serious hate for Marc that I don't get since he's JUST LIKE REN and she loves him.

WELL I don't think hes like Ren really. Ren has cockiness so hes different. And he didn't throw Shay into a wall. But he should have.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Someday after you've lost the hate, you'll have to read on for the very nice love scene with Jace! I'm not spoilering anything because it's a flipping love triangle after all.

brittany (cirilla) @Stacia I will read on one day..when its not so hot.

@Jessica LOL Shay Rage FTW!!

Shifters Jace?

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Esra,

Do you like anthologies? I find that I'm really bad at just picking out the stories that relate to the series I'm already reading and leaving the rest alone.

Like recently I went and downloaded the story of Father Mine for the crossover to Black Dagger Brotherhood, and skipped the anthology as a whole.

Jessica,

Yes, Shifters Jace. He's a hot Jace too, but how could he not be with that name?

message 4881: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Jace from TMI is hotter though.

message 4882: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) True. It seems all Jace's are hot.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Yes, TMI Jace is hotter, but I love how Jace from Shifters is so playful and fun, and in the later books he almost has this wounded puppy feel about him that is SO adorable. You want to wrap him in your arms and tell him that it will be alright.

Like Damon *grins wickedly*

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Very much so. Damon and kitty Jace have similarities, but kitty Jace isn't quite as wounded/out to hurt people. Jace is just a really hot guy that hooks up with a lot of girls because he can, but always carried a torch for Faythe and was willing to stop being a player if she'd give him the time of day.

Oh I see. He sounds delightful lol. I will give Shiters a try eventually.

Book Sushi (BookSushi) | 97 comments oh my word! lol i really added to the whole drama lmao

message 4890: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) That's alright. You can add what you want. As Stacia said previously, it keeps the group going. Just random off topic conversations is good. Other wise its just 2 or three posts each time of people saying what they're reading.

message 4891: by Book Sushi (new)

Book Sushi (BookSushi) | 97 comments oh no, seems like we killed the action on this topic - oopsy!! well i seemed to have conquered the calibre conversion! now to hope my sister is capable of transferring it to her kindle.

I love anhtologies ,sometime I just read one story like gena showalters in this one :D sometimes read all of them. For example I read "Must Love Hellhounds" for the charline harris and find out nalini singh there ,her story was interesting "Angels’ Judgment A GUILD HUNTER NOVELLA" now I'm a huge fan of guild hunter series lol :D that was one stone two bird situation :D

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) @ Jessica,

Calibre is a program that converts books/documents from one form to another. People that have ereaders use it to take an ebook and make it compatible with their device.

@ Esra,

Ahh. Maybe I've just had bad luck with anthologies then. It seems like some of the stories will be decent and others aren't.

Finished Splendor (Luxe, #4) by Anna Godbersen and about to go cry over in the topic for this book. Sigh.

Finally getting a chance to pick The Golden Spiral (Hourglass Door Trilogy, #2) by Lisa Mangum back up again.

message 4895: by [deleted user] (new)

I finished thirteen reasons why. I thought it was really good,it's worth picking up.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Is it pretty heavy/depressing the whole way though?

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Ugh, not that I mind heavy or depressing books. That came out wrong. I just didn't like the last suicide book I read :

By The Time You Read This, I'll Be Dead by Julie Anne Peters was pretty bad

message 4898: by [deleted user] (new)

It's not really heavy but it has a pretty good story. This is the first kinda suicide book i've read and I thought it was good. It wasn't overly depressing though.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I'll have to give it a shot then.

Sometimes books about issues are good if done well.

Hunger (Horsemen of the Apocalypse, #1) by Jackie Kessler was not bad. I didn't mind the anorexia thing but was sort of disappointed that she didn't spend more time being one of the flipping horsemen of the apocolypse! Less food issues, more sky riding, right?

Jen (jennifer_ashmy) | 245 comments I'm still on Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy, #5) by Richelle Mead and for some reason I'm reading at a super slow pace which doesn't help because I have Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6) by Richelle Mead The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephenie Meyer Nightshade (Nightshade, #1) by Andrea Cremer Bright Young Things (Bright Young Things, #1) by Anna Godbersen & Origins (The Vampire Diaries Stefan's Diaries, #1) by Kevin Williamson , all waiting for me, lol. I've decided I won't buy another book until I finish all of those, let's see how that goes xD
