Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) Just about to start Bloodfever (Fever, #2) by Karen Marie Moning
I left my nook at home when we went to New Orleans, so I was never able to start on it! -_-

Super excited about it though. =]

Oh xD um blue bloods - masquerade - revelations - the van alen legacy - misguided angel

message 4472: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I'd recommend the fever series over blue bloods though.

message 4473: by Book Sushi (new)

Book Sushi (BookSushi) | 97 comments i started reading the first in the fever series and just couldnt follow. will maybe try it again sometime. happy with blue bloods for now. :)

message 4474: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) First Fever book pales in comparison to the rest of the series. Shadowfever - one of the best books EVER.

message 4475: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) I'll read the Fever books before Blue Bloods.

What Brit said. The first book is a starter book and most people just read it to get to the next one. It gets SO much better with each book in the series. The last few books are 5 stars. I hope you get the chance to go back and try it again.

Almost everyone that ends up reading through ends up saying this is one of their all time favorite series. It really is that good.

message 4484: by Alison (new)

Alison | 234 comments I'm still reading The Iron King (Iron Fey, #1) by Julie Kagawa Although I'm not able to sink my teeth into it. Unfortunately I think Fever has ruined me for a while.

Everyone says the Iron Fey series is really good so I'm hoping that my brain gets out fever mode soon or else I feel doomed that every book I read from hereon out will pale in comparison. Please someone convince me this will not be so. :-)

message 4485: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) @Katty Am now! And it was..okay.

@Alison The Iron Fey is a great series but its hard to come down from fever!! I'm finally getting out of it though.

message 4486: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Okay Im reading Burned (House of Night, #7) by P.C. Cast and its boring. heh.

Alison | 234 comments Brit, I hope I do soon.

brittany (cirilla) Alison wrote: "Brit, I hope I do soon."

I loved it right from the start. But then again I didn't read it after Fever. But its a great series it isn't really like other YA PNR books out there.

message 4489: by Katty (new)

Katty | 418 comments so i assume you recommend to read as many books as possible before reading darkfever? xD

Lol well darkfever doesnt get you completely hooked on the series. By the 3rd one though they're addicting.

Cuz theres so many good books!! lol

message 4495: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Argh I can't get into Burned right now. I'm not that far but BLAH.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Have you considered just dropping the series altogether? It seems like it's been painful for you to read the last few. Why torture yourself?

I liked Burned just alright, but thought Awakened was a big improvement. What saved Burned for me was the storyline with Rephaim. And Kalona because I just really like Kalona.

message 4497: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I've come this far though. I'd torture myself for dropping it. Maybe I'm not in the mood for it atm.

I really like Rephaim and Kalona but they're the only things I like about it. And Aphrodite but meh.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I know the OCD thing with hating to quit out on a series.

Oh wow, Meg finally moved on to book 2, haha. I wasn't paying much attention earlier. Hurry up so you can join our Shadowfever discussion already in our topic folder. :p

message 4499: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Might just read it as a side book.

Really wanna start one of my own books like mine till midnight

It took me a few books to shake myself out of Shadowfever tunnel vision.

I had a hard time with Iron King because I was in a really bad mindset when I read it, so I think that it might be something I go back and re-read when I'm in a fantasy mood, just to give it another chance.
