ive decided to go with Blue Bloods.

message 4204: by Isamlq (last edited Jan 27, 2011 06:06AM) (new)

Isamlq @Reenz: I hope you like Blue Bloods... :)

I just finished Mine Till Midnight (The Hathaways, #1) by Lisa Kleypas (normally, historicals arent my thing, but this surprised me because it was quick and fun)
Now reading Looking for Alibrandi by Melina Marchetta (My current obsession is Melina Marchetta)
and Five Flavors of Dumb by Antony John (I've heard good things about this...)

message 4205: by Tashina (new)

Tashina (tashinafalene) I finished Shadowed Summer by Saundra Mitchell
Nothing like I thought it'd be. I hope her Historical YA is better.

And am now starting on Warped by Maurissa Guibord

I couldn't finish Evernight...it just got too weird. XD

@Tashina, you aren't alone in feeling that way about Evernight... :) Do Tell how Warped goes :)

Tashina (tashinafalene) Definitely will...I'm carving out some time in this afternoon to sit down and start reading it. :)

awesome!! I've heard that a lot and can't wait to get to it, but I think it's gonna take a while. I've noticed with the VA books that I tend to go back and re-read passages since they are so good so it takes me longer to finish them compared to when im reading other books, lol.

message 4209: by Trina (new)

Trina | 3 comments I'm currently reading By Midnight: A Ravenwood Mystery and am finding it very difficult to get through. Am looking forward to starting The Iron King (Iron Fey, #1) by Julie Kagawa when I finally finish the other one.

message 4210: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) The Iron King is a great book.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) @ Isa,

Five Flavors of Dumb looks good. Can't wait to read your review!

Glad you liked MTM. It's nothing deep or profound, but I have to have the palate cleansing books in between the more serious ones and this series is cute. I like Beatrix too and can't wait for her book. Same with the brother's. So far, Poppy's book has been my favorite story (that one was so good), but Cam's my favorite character.

message 4212: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Just the name 'Cam' is enough to make me want to read it.

Stacia, five flavors is cute... but I'm still looking for the rest of Kleypas' series before I continue reading ( i was surprised that reading it was soo easy.)

and I'm so stoked about you reading red glove and wither...

Brit, when you read MTM, you might go sighing again... (sweet story.)

message 4214: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) @Isa Yay can't wait to read it

message 4215: by Isamlq (new)

Hi Trina, i read By Midnight, it is a little difficult to get into, but its not a bad story line. its one of those books that u either enjoy or dont. have it as a sideline book that u read every now and then. I have that problem with Prophecy of the Sisters (Prophecy of the Sisters, #1) by Michelle Zink i read other books and then come back to it every now and then.

Haha, yeah I did that. I mostly read back on all the Dimitri and Rose moments...they were always the funniest and the sexiest!

60% of the way through City of Bones. What can I say? I'm hooked and I know its going to get better! Jace and Clary have just escaped from the vampire hotel with the rat Simon.....

message 4218: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Now I'm always going to picture Simon as a Rat..

message 4219: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) LOL it was good. He's not a rat anymore...the potion has worn off and he's just normal Simon now without glasses and looking dirty. Jace is falling for Clary and it hurt him to see her so close to Simon.

OHRIGHT. He actually was a rat! *Smacks forehead*

message 4221: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) Haha yeah he was. HE got turned into one at Magnus' party lol.

Anyway listen to this description...I almost died

"It was only a seconds fall and Jace caught her, her dress rucking up around her thighs and his hand grazing her legs as she slid into his arms"

Now I don't know about you, but I would GLADLY have Jace graze my legs ANY DAY!! I died reading that. I had Alex Pettyfer all in my head lol.

message 4222: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) LOL hoooooot.

message 4223: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) Yes! That's what I thought! I had it all pictured in my head...I sighed a couple of times. Ugh really need the movie lol!

message 4224: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Alex better take the role!

message 4225: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) Yeah he better! I won't be happy if he doesn't. Seen as we've all gone to the effort of picturing him in our heads ( probably half naked) lol...he should definitely take the role!

message 4226: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) LOL. Definitely. Hes very sexy.

message 4227: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) He is....*Sigh*

message 4228: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Hes changed so much in looks since Stormbreaker.

message 4229: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) Oh I know! I watched that on youtube last night. It was quite good, he was SO cute back then and now he's just.....well......THERE ARE NO WORDS!

message 4230: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) i first saw him in that movie when it first came out. So cute ;~; but now hes just sexy.

message 4231: by Jess (last edited Jan 28, 2011 12:45AM) (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) Time has done him some good....he had wuite a deep voice in Stormbreaker I was a bit shocked...now he's all MAN!

It's like Zac Efron...totally cute in HSM, but then you see him in 17 again and Charlie St Cloud and you just think "Wow puberty did you some good!"

message 4232: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Lol yup.

ohhhh I watched Charlie St Cloud today! zac is yummmmyyyy. I like him best in 17 again though.

message 4233: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) Yeah I love him in 17 Again....

"I'm Pubescent!"

He's sooo yummy in Charlie St Cloud! I went to the premiere! He looked so hot!

message 4234: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Haha yeap! 'I am the father of your children!'

You're so lucky!

message 4235: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) "I'd shake your hand, but its taped to my ass" LOL

message 4236: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) LOL!!

message 4237: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) Such a great film....when the three girls don't want him to respect them! Did you notice that one is Bonnie from VD? She's the one that goes "You don't even have to remember my name"

message 4238: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Lol yes! Oh ew yes i did recognize her. I don't like her.

message 4239: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) I don't really like Bonnie either I think Jeremy can do better!

message 4240: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Me too..like me! Wait i just realized he wasn't in the latest ep..bummer..

message 4241: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) I'm hoping for more Jeremy in the new episodes, and some sort of better love interest then Bonnie!

message 4242: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Yeah! I loved him with Anna.

message 4243: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) Yeah that was a good relationship...seems to run in the Gilbert family that they like being with vampires. Who wouldn't though. Vampires are the only ones that will love you forever

message 4244: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Yup lol unless they get staked or burnt to death.

message 4245: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) Well yeah that too. Doesn't happen very often though...vampires are smarter than us puny little humans lol

message 4246: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Lol definitely.

message 4247: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Finally caught up on Vampire knight so now I can finish Stray (Shifters, #1) by Rachel Vincent

message 4248: by Catherine (new)

Catherine (cattymccat) | 754 comments I had to do that with Prophecy of the Sisters too... It took me weeks to finish.

Prophecy of the Sisters (Prophecy of the Sisters, #1) by Michelle Zink

message 4249: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) *Sinks into irreversible depression* Alex isn't playing Jace apparently..
