@ Catherine how is Fallen Angel?? i just got it it looks good!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) It looks like I'm reading a lot because I keep switching/adding new books because of issues with some of the galley stuff not loading onto my ereader, but I really haven't been reading much at all. Even with the 5 books in the past 12 days, it's not much time invested since I can usually get through a regular sized book in a couple of hours.

It's been busy around here since the end of November, so my reading has been cut back a lot. I'm always multitasking/emailing/on the phone when I'm on the computer, so it seems like I've had more time on the computer spent talking about books than I have had actual time to read them, which is sort of funny.

Carina Ok I can not for the life of me, pick out a book to start reading! I read a couple pages of BDB book 1 then switched to Dead Witch Walking, then Chicagoland Vamps and I keep thinking, "No, I better read this one first. No this one better"
Please someone TELL me to stick with one! I really cant decide!!

I'm trying to finish Torment before I read it! :x

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Oh man...Carina.

Fever group - Mariya just posted the first chapter of Shadowfever. Guess it says who the beast is. I'm scared to read it.

message 3506: by Carina (new)

Carina It says who the beast is?? no freaking way!
Do I want to know now and suffer till tuesday? Should I just wait to read the whole book?
Damn its tempting!!
Now THIS would be the perfect book to break my uncertainty, only 6 more days!!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) OH MY GOD. Isa, Carina, Joanna...

After never caving and reading stupid spoilers...I caved. All these months of waiting and speculating and discussing with people on multiple groups. People were saying they knew and I had to know too...

I know who the beast is now. I need this book ASAP.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I literally have tears in my eyes. What an emotional chapter.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I focus through my tears.

Grass. Trees. Him.

He lies facedown. I need to go to him.

message 3510: by Carina (new)

Carina Dude you caved??
Omg is it bad?
No! wait I dont want to know...ok tell me. ....No dont tell me!
Aaaahhhh!
Ok just tell me, is it bad?

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Did you get to read my last two posts? I was just saying in one of the Shifters topics that it takes a lot for me to even get emotional, and I'm emotional right now. Big time.

message 3512: by Carina (new)

Carina Oh god.........I wont read it then. If I do the wait (yes even if its only 5/6 more days!) will drive me mad!

I havent even read the chapter and Im seriously hyperventilating just thinking about it!!
Great! Im wide awake now, and I have to go into work at 6am!!
Oh Shadowfever why cant you be out NOW!!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) http://www.shelfari.com/books/1227213...

In case you decide to read it :

On the left where it shows the book cover, click on the button that says read first chapter free.

Oh wow. It's the first three chapters, actually. It took me forever just to read the first because I had to process every single line. Not sure if I'm even ready to go on to chapter two.

This woman can write a powerful scene.

message 3514: by Carina (new)

Carina Oh temptation, thy name is Stacia!
I would tell you that Im bitting my nails but I've no more nails to bite!!
That little link is gonna hunt me until I break!!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I might hold out on chapters 2 and 3. I want to have the book in front of me and be able to really absorb it.

But wow...so many quotable lines from chapter 1 already.

message 3516: by Dija (new)

Dija @Staicia: I just read all 3 chapters, and have already shed a few tears. Such power in words. I still don't think I've absorbed all there was to absorb in the first 3 chapters. :'(

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) @ Timipre,

Loved that movie. :) Never read the book though.

@ Lazuline & Isa,

Okay, maybe I'll read it tonight. I'm nervous after just reading chapter 1. Just that one chapter was so emotional for me. I can't believe I'm wrecked by a book like this.

message 3521: by Carina (new)

Carina Im not reading them, im gonna wait till next week to read the whole thing!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) The Immortal Highlander (Highlander, #6) by Karen Marie Moning

If you have time, squeeze this one book in before the 18th. The main characters in there are supposed to be in Shadowfever, and they are members of Christian's family as well. Remember when Barrons and Christian (was it?) went to Castle MacKeltar to get help from his family? That's where the second half of the Highlander book takes place - at Castle MacKeltar with those family members.

message 3523: by Carina (new)

Carina You just made up my mind on what to read now! ;)

message 3524: by Alison (new)

Alison | 234 comments I loved The Immortal Highlander (Highlander, #6) by Karen Marie Moning That was such a cool book. I still have to read the 4th Fever book before I can contemplate buying Shadowfever and I'm about 2/3's way through NH #1

I have to ask though, how can you lot read several books at once, that would confuse the heck out of me :-) and I always thought I was a pretty good multitasker.

I can't read a heap of books at the same time either xD

message 3526: by Shea (new)

Shea (narcohypnia) | 14 comments Reading The Greyfriar (Vampire Empire, #1) by Clay Griffith . And I'm hearing good things about Bloodfever (Fever, #2) by Karen Marie Moning , so I'm planning on reading that next.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) @ Alison,

It used to be 2 books at a time. One would be YA, and one would be adult. The YA book would be my "daytime" read when the kids were running around and I was up and down and all over the place. The adult one would be more of the steamy romance type that I could snuggle down into a couch with late at night when no one else was awake.

I hardly read anymore during the day though so now it's just whatever I'm in the mood to read.

Dreamfever is such a good book. It's the best of the series so far. You're actually in luck not having read it yet because the cliffhanger is brutal. Since book 5 is going to be out in 5 days it's not a big deal now.

@ Shia,

Did you read Darkfever? I didn't know if you were starting the series with Bloodfever or if you had already finished book 1.

message 3528: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I want to read Bloodfever so bad.

message 3529: by brittany (last edited Jan 13, 2011 11:29PM) (new)

brittany (cirilla) Finishing Tempted for the sake of my must-finish-all-books-I-Read sanity.

message 3530: by Shea (new)

Shea (narcohypnia) | 14 comments @Stacia - Oh, you're right! I didn't notice that. I'll have to go get Darkfever then. Thanks for pointing that out!

@Britnee - I know riiiight. I've been wanting to start the Fever series since forever.

message 3531: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) @Shia I read the first one and enjoyed it and I've heard the rest of the series is way better.

message 3532: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) finished Tempted (House of Night, #6) by P.C. Cast now going to read A Great and Terrible Beauty (Gemma Doyle, #1) by Libba Bray

message 3533: by Steph (new)

Steph (somethingplace) I had started to read Linger (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #2) by Maggie Stiefvater but the ebook is formatted all funky so I might just wait until I buy a copy. I'm looking on amazon right now has anyone read any of the following and would suggest one over the others?

The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1) by James Dashner Graceling by Kristin Cashore Feed (Newsflesh, #1) by Mira Grant Dreamhunter (The Dreamhunter Duet, #1) by Elizabeth Knox Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy, #1) by Richelle Mead The Water Wars by Cameron Stracher

message 3535: by Stacia (the 2010 club) (last edited Jan 14, 2011 01:43PM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I didn't really like Dreamhunter much, but that could just be me. It felt like two different stories in one and some of the characters were very flat and unrelatable.

VA is a great series. Book 1 is the slowest because it's all about learning their world, but every book from number 2 on is fabulous.

I really enjoyed Maze Runner. The start is a bit odd, and the slang annoyed me somewhat, but overall the story was fun.

Graceling I have mixed feelings about. I really liked parts of it (and loved the main characters), but feel like there's better fantasy books out there. I honestly think Poison Study is better than Graceling and you get the same payout of a strong female and intriguing male lead.

Haven't read the other ones, but Feed is on my TBR. It seems to be rated high. Water Wars seems to be rated low, so I'm curious to see what people do and don't like about it.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) @ Brit,

I'm curious to see what you think of AGATB. I liked it, but not everyone does.

message 3537: by Steph (new)

Catherine (cattymccat) | 754 comments @Timipre: A Walk To Remember... The movie is good, but the book is amazing.

@Stephanie: Vampire Academy or Graceling are my votes. I thought Graceling was AMAZING.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I have yet to read a Sparks book. Maybe someday.

message 3543: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I've only read his book The Last Song..it was way better than the movie.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Gee...I wonder why. Was it Miley perhaps?

I loved The Notebook as a movie. I bawled like a baby at the scene where they had to drug his wife, and at the end.

I read Dear John-I love the book-but the movie couldv'e been so much better.

I enjoyed the notebook too and also A Walk to remember.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Okay, Alice. You have to let me know what's up with the RDJ prison issue pic. Is there a story behind it? I keep clicking on it out of curiousity.

RDJ would make an awesome Haymitch from Hunger Games.
