Alison | 234 comments @Catherine, Thanks I'm pretty good at it hey? :-)

@Stacia, Sounds like a great premise.

The very first book I wrote was a romantic comedy, I've since taken it off the market coz I'm going to re-write it, but talking about sex scenes, there were a couple in mine (not erotic by any stretch of the imagination) but I felt really odd about my mum reading it, and even a couple of close friends who are a fair bit older than me. I wondered if they would look at me any differently afterwards. Thankfully that didn't happen. I think if I did start writing adult PNR I'd have to use a pen name because of my business I would hate to gain a "bad reputation" in my local area and offend any clients.

Ooooh... Sounds awesome. I can't wait to read it someday!

message 3403: by Carina (new)

Carina @Stacia Dude you have to either take you book to an agent or send me a galley or something so I can read it!!

I cant believe you kept this from me......now give! lol ;)

message 3404: by Carina (new)

Carina @Allison Ooooh Im glad things get a little steamier with Faen and Faedra in book 2!

Catherine (cattymccat) | 754 comments @Stacia: I agree with Carina! lol

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I'm having serious heartburn about handing over a draft copy of the book for someone to read, but Alison swears that I own the copyright to it already.

Maybe after I proof it one more time I'll consider letting some people read it. I was able to convert it and transfer it onto my Nook, so I can sit down and actually read the thing like a book instead of sitting at the computer now.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Speaking of ereaders...

I loaded Red Glove (Curse Workers, #2) by Holly Black into my digital editions file for the Nook and it's not showing up in my documents. Are there any ereader people that know what I'm doing wrong here? I've never had a problem getting Netgalley books to work, but these new gallies aren't showing up in my menu.

message 3408: by Carina (new)

Carina @Stacia
Damn! Im having trouble with Red Glove too. I was thinking of asking you since Im a klutz when it comes to computers and my kindle. But now we need to find someone else to help us...Ohhhh maybe Isa knows!

Oh and regarding ur book, you NEED constructive critizism. And I am willing to help you with that, as soon as you let me read ur book. (Im hoping it'll be soon....)

brittany (cirilla) Just finished The Iron Queen (Iron Fey, #3) by Julie Kagawa .. now gunna finish Tempted (House of Night, #6) by P.C. Cast

message 3410: by Joanna (new)

Joanna (joannaoj) | 394 comments @Stacia and @Carina why? what's wrong with your Red Glove? mine is just fine.

finished reading Misguided Angel! gosh! i missed Blue Bloods so much! now reading Bloody Valentine by Melissa de la Cruz

message 3411: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) @Joanna *Gasp* I want it >.<

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Whoops, that reminds me Brit. I better hurry up and read Iron Daughter so I can get to Iron Queen before it expires on me.

@ Carina,

Yeah, that's why I'm only on page 40, since I was skimming it on the computer a few days ago when I first got it and I just now got around to trying to load it on my Nook.

If I can't find an answer soon, I'll ask in the Nook group, but hopefully someone here knows.

ANYONE that knows how to get the S&S gallies to show up on ereaders, please help Carina and I out. We want to read our books!

I'm so ereader dependent that I'd have a hard time trying to read a full book on the computer.

message 3413: by Joy (new)

Joy | 13 comments i am reading Night Star (Immortals) by Alyson Noel ... I have been waiting to get a copy of Awakened (House of Night, #8) by P.C. Cast

message 3414: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) @Stacia it is such a great series. The Iron Queen blew me away and now I can't wait for the next one!

message 3415: by Joanna (new)

Joanna (joannaoj) | 394 comments @Britnee ditto with the Iron Queen comment! :)

message 3416: by Carina (new)

Carina @Stacia and @Joanna
I could read it on the computer but it'll take me a while, it hurts my eyes and ends up giving me a headache. If I could just load it to my kindle I would probably read it in one seating!! (Thats how much Im expecting to love Red Glove!)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I so wish you'd get an ereader though! That way we could get you all the books that you can't seem to get ahold of!

It won't load on my ereader. It says that it's in the documents folder when I open the folder on my computer, but it won't show up on my Nook.

message 3421: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I know, I know I really want one. I like reading on the computer though xD

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Maybe if I ever publish my book, I'll buy you one. :p

At some point I should probably switch out my Fever book 2 for one in English, huh? Sorry about that again.

message 3423: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I definitely want to read your book!

Joanna (joannaoj) | 394 comments i like Will for Tessa. but i like Jem too. :)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) We were just discussing this in the other thread. I'm having deja vu.

brittany (cirilla) Jem for me.

We've gone from NH to clockwork Angel xD

message 3429: by Carina (new)

Carina Haha yup!
Im def Team Will! (maybe its cause he reminds me soo much of Jace?), the same sarcastic attitude and blunt honesty. And Im a sucker for guys with black hair (just ask Patch! lol)
I like Jem, he's sweet and kind. I feel bad for him but I dont think thats reason enough to want him with Tessa.

Thats alright I'll have Jem and Tessa can have Will ;D . I just think Will is a bit..mean . Okay a lot mean.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) There's books other than Night Huntress?

It's been a strange week for me. I RARELY read any series back to back, but I've had this craving to read Black Dagger Brotherhood books, putting everything else on hold.

So I might finish Lover Avenged (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #7) by J.R. Ward and then go back to The Golden Spiral (Hourglass Door Trilogy, #2) by Lisa Mangum (which was getting to be really good before I got sidetracked).

message 3432: by Carina (new)

Carina Well I gotta agree with you there. He was kind of...sratch that...he was a total ass, but there's just something that makes me love him still. Plus we still got 2 more books to figure out why he's so tormented.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Take a look at the Will or Jem? thread under the Infernal Devices folder when you get the chance.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Hah. I don't care where we talk. What's this topic about again?

To be fair, I did actually post what I was currently reading...

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Oh, speaking of Night Huntress.

Did you see that Alison is reading it? I'm super excited to see another potential new fan.

message 3441: by Carina (new)

Carina So tomorrow Im starting Before I Fall, but Im also wanting to start one of the many many books on my kindle. I'll post them tomorrow so you guys can help me decide which one to read first =)

Yes! Its great how many people are reading and loving it

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I was going to ask you two to jump in on the White Cat revolution, but someone hasn't read it yet *stares rudely at Britnee*.

I need others to help me convince Artemis to read it. Since she's a huge Jace fan like myself, I really think she's going to love Cassel. Plus, Jace's name is in the darn book, even if it's just one small mention!

*Cough* I will! xD Eventually. First I'll finish the fever series and The Night Huntress side books..

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) It's okay for NOW. I think we have Carina, Camilla & Isa on board. Someone else in here is a fan too but darnit I can't remember.

I'm going to sneak into Artemis' room at night and start whispering, "White Cat" into her ear.

message 3446: by Carina (new)

Carina We r watching you Britnee.... O.O ..... you must read White Cat.... It.Is.Awesome.....lol!
