Po & then Jace from M.I. are my two favoritest character in a book EVER.Jace is probably my favorite character from anything ever... No, Dean from Supernatural is my favorite, but Jace is a very close second.

Which one is Damon? I don't really watch Vampire Diaries (I like it, I've just never watched more than a one or two episodes a season. Is he Ian Somerhalder?

The fifth season of Supernatural? I have all but the fourth season on DVD & I watch them a lot... They make me smile & laugh, which is exactly what I need.I love Ian Somerhalder... I loved him on LOST, Young Americans, & The Rules Of Attraction. Really, I just love him on everything he's in... He's an amazing actor. And not too hard on the eyes either.

Lol, I'd be in bed by now. Unfortunately its only 11.05am in London and I'm at work! When I'd rather be at home getting me some more dose of Ren Laroche!
Oh if I didn't work and didn't wake up at 5am every weekday I would read to my hearts content....but I can't...dammit!

I havent even finished season 4 xD
Mmhmm I haven't read the newer books but I think he does? in the books
NO?! Really OMG! I haven't read the books...but OMG! I like vamp Damon I don't want him to change! I've just started watching Season 5 of Supernatural. I missed it whilst it played on tv so I bought season 5 on boxset.
yeah, when VD TV series started I stopped reading the books and watched them instead. so i'm not updated with what's going on in the books right now. lol. i saw the Supernatural episode "ala-Twilight" that was funny! from season6
I'm really curious about Damon now lol. I don't know how that would even work turning him back? Unless he came in contact with a Spirit wielding Moroi named Lissa Dragomir and she stabs him in the heart like she did with Dimka. Otherwise all I can think of is the moonstone.
Just finished
and
. Not what I expected. Now I have 7 from the library and I think that I will finish off The Hunger Games by reading
! Yay!
Favorite Characters hmmm let me see...Barrons - definitely intriguing
Bones - Just started reading NH#1 and falling for him fast
Most of the Vamps from the Midnight Breed Series they're all pretty yummy.
I actually quite like Jasper from Twilight, too.
Haven't read a lot of the other books though so I haven't met those characters yet.
And It would be a sin for me not to mention Faen from The Amulet, I mean I created him, so he has to be up there with my favorites :-)
It's funny because when I started writing my trilogy, one of the things that scared me the most was how to write believable and appealing male characters. The story itself was the easy part! There isn't "technically" a love triangle, but you don't know this at first, so there is going to be a comparison between the two male leads.Unfortunately, I tried so hard to make both of the characters likeable for completely different reasons, that I'm having a hard time myself choosing which one I'd want if given a choice between the two!
Stacia (Staciamy) wrote: "Poor Bones. It's a good thing he's not real. He'd probably be overwhelmed by crazed stalkers."*grins*
I didn't have to worry about 2 male characters in my 1st book, but I introduced another in the 2nd and I have to admit he's quite yummy :-)
People are probably going to think I'm completely mad but do your characters talk to you? Mine do, quite frequently infact. They are completely their own people and have entire conversations with each other in my head, Usually in the shower, which I find kind of odd.
Another thing I have fun with is imagining which actor would be best suited to play them. (I can dream). So far I think the girl who played Ginny Weasley would make a good Faedra, other than that I can't think of any other redhead english girl actors (suggestions gratefully received). I'm a bit stumped for Faen, Bradley Jones from Merlin would probably be a good fit. Then there's the new guy, now he is definitely a Ben Barnes type. Although I first saw him as a model for Perry Ellis from a Sports Illustrated mag, he was/is absolutely perfect (and I still have the picture, I ripped it out of the magazine in a waiting room, shh don't tell anyone) ;-)
God I'm rambling again aren't I? Sorry guys, as you were :-)
Morganville or Torment, but I don't know anything about the third book and got my fill of Shakespeare in high school.@ Alison,
Oh, I've done my own movie casting too. I had a Stephenie Meyer moment in which I woke up from a very vivid dream with the story in my head, complete with main characters.
Only problem is, the character names suck and need to be changed at some point. I just wanted to stick with what was fresh in my head from the dream so I wrote the whole thing with the original names.
I just realized that I didn't answer the "characters talking" question. The two males do not like each other at all, so I don't really picture them having much of a conversation. Book 1 ends with one of the guys knocking the other out because of a kiss...Although I would love to pick the brain of one of my characters because he needs to tell me more about his past so I can figure out just how tortured I need to make him!
I like your rambles Alison!Stacia! I hope I get to read your book one day... I bet it's amazing. It's it adult or ya?
@Stacia, My idea came from an urban legend surrounding the church in the village I grew up in, I also collect fairies so one day this idea just poofed in my head to put the two togehter and voila.Apart from Faen my character names are all relatives or my friends kids, one was spelt backwards and others were changed slightly to get a uniqueness to them.
It's YA and I had to leave out any sex scenes because my mom would have killed me if I wrote one - it doesn't matter that I'm an adult! Both of the guys did get around quite a bit before they met the girl (similar to Jace), but she's a bit clueless about how guys work.I tried to compromise by making it steamy without it going too far. There's definitely some intimate moments going on.
The first book (which has been done for awhile - I just haven't taken it to agents yet) is about a group of teens who have special powers that allow them to see when bad things are going to happen to others and about the race to save their "assignments" before disaster strikes.
