Isamlq Paul wrote: "Are the shifters series any good i was thinking of reading them."

@Paul, heck yeah! There are a lot of SHIFTERS fans in this group (Stacia, Joanna, Truthic and me...) :) The first book is just OK but the series does get better and better after each installment :)

@Artemis, so want to hear what you think about AWAKENED :)

... and totally out of left field, but I just love this: http://www.goodreads.com/author_blog_...

message 3007: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) I've just finished Crescendo! OMG!! That's all I can say!

What's with the cliff hanger?! Seriously? Ugh!

Patch-Tastic though!

message 3008: by Stacia (the 2010 club) (last edited Jan 07, 2011 01:48PM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Yeah, it had one heck of a cliffhanger.

@ Alison,

Yes, the first one is Halfway to the Grave. The series is adult and does have adult content.

I get how you feel about Outlander. People either love it or they don't. It was one of my first historical reads so I didn't have anything else to compare it with. If I read it now, I'd probably pass it up too because I'm used to books that hook you quicker by now. I'm glad that I read it before reading straight up historical romances though because I fell in love with the books and will always have a soft spot in my heart for them, even if it's taking me forever to get through the series. I only recommend it for fans of either historical fiction or epic love stories, since it's sort of a collision of Hfiction and Hromance.

@ Paul,

Yes, a few of us love Shifters around here. If you like girls that can kick butt you'll like this one.

@ Isa,

I replied to your mail and am confused about something. When you get the chance can you get back to me?

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Do you prefer YA males? Bones is definitely more adult in his mannerisms. He has more of a raw appeal to him because of his forwardness, but that's exactly what the draw is for me. He isn't going to beat around the bush or play awkward. What you see is what you get with him.

Jace is my favorite YA male, but I age him in my head to about 21, since he wouldn't be legal for me to crush on at 17. :p

I like Adult series Males, YA males just seem to be too perfect and unrealistic.
