Isamlq This so out of left field but I wish you could all read Danae Ayusso's stuff... She's snarky, funny and her stuff is pretty raw and out there. You could say she's the the reason I started reading PNR's. I follow her blog religiously.

Carina @Isa really? Well I'll have to look her up!

message 2760: by Carina (new)

Carina @Joanna I'll let you know for sure!

@Brit I love Barrons! But I think I love Bones a little more!
Bones isnt afraid to show his feeling to Cat and the world, and he doesnt come off all girly. He keeps his maculinity while showing his love for Cat. You've gotta love that!

Although Barrons was making progress in book 4, but Mac was to dumb to see it =/

brittany (cirilla) I'm enjoying Darkfever so far!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I ditched out to go watch t.v. with the husband for a little while but I'm back and laughing at how both Fever and Night Huntress are now both the main topics in my HISTORICAL romance group. Too funny. I made a comment about how I'd kill for Bones to call me kitten and we're all squealing like little girls.

That and they seem to be amused by chapter 32 in book number 2. (it's the big love scene)

The Luxe is beautifully written but it will make you feel all sorts of emotions, not all of them good (but it's still a very good series).

Can't wait to read the start of her newest series : Bright Young Things (Bright Young Things, #1) by Anna Godbersen I've had it for a while but haven't gotten to it yet.

message 2765: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I'm still waiting for my library to get Bright Young Things. Instead they order boring books that no one reads. I need to take over all of the librarians jobs.

message 2766: by Carina (new)

Carina @Stacia Oh the infamus Chapter 32, I think we were all "amused" by it. *wink*

My lil sister finished reading VA and she asked me for another series, so now she's happily reading Halfway to the Grave, haha. My mom told me I got my sisters under my reading spell. Aparently Im a witch now, hahaha! She got a little mad cause I took it as a compliment ;D

message 2767: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) @Carina that's great! (That your sister is enjoying them) Not that you're apparently a witch LOL.

message 2768: by Carina (new)

Carina Yup I think its great!

Oh and Im glad my sis is enjoying the books too...haha jk!

brittany (cirilla) LOL! ^^

Other Night Huntress readers have you read First Drop of Crimson (Night Huntress World, #1) by Jeaniene Frost ? If so, is it any good?

message 2775: by Carina (new)

It is pretty awesome, you should definitely give it a try. I wasn't sure whether I would like it at first, and the dialogue and writing style take a bit of getting used to, but the book is amazing after you get into it. :)

And agreed, NH #2 is one of the best books in the series. Bones is in it, 'nuff said.

message 2782: by Carina (new)

Carina @Joanna I agree with Lazuline. Book 2 is one of the best! (specially after the ending on book 1).

Im planning on re-reading the NH books before book 5 comes out!!

message 2783: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) @Carina Yay! I'll read it after I finish the fourth NH one.

@Joanna See told you they were awesome!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Crescendo = Patch = Goodness

I only made it halfway through Unholy Ghosts after several attempts to start over. It wasn't for me, BUT I know several people that love the series so I just chalk it up to my short attention span. I think her books are either ones that you love or just can't get into, sort of like Outlander (which I love, but this series is a very strong love or hate deal) or Parasol Protectorate (I liked the first book but had no desire to continue on to the next).

I didn't get around to reading yesterday, so I'm still on Golden Spiral. Won't be able to purchase Awakened until late Thursday night.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/3...

The last page is the "chapter 32" discussion. We had the same exact topic in Delirity not too long ago. Seems people really love chapter 32. I have to go back and read it soon me thinks.

brittany (cirilla) Matched (Matched #1) by Ally Condie and Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning

message 2788: by Anne (new)

Anne (anne_roseability) I'm reading Fragile Eternity and Bitten. But Fragile Eternity's getting on my nerves...

message 2789: by Carina (new)

Carina @Stacia I think I said this already but Im planning on re-reading all the NH books before the 5th one comes out! I just love this series lol..

message 2790: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Does Matched (Matched #1) by Ally Condie get better

message 2791: by Joanna (new)

Joanna (joannaoj) | 394 comments Britnee Michaelis wrote: "Does Matched (Matched #1) by Ally Condie get better"

imo, yes. i guess. although I'm not really a fan. but still a good story. :) and characters.

message 2792: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I'll keep with it then..slowly..

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) The first half was sort of slow, but it did pick up near the end. I finally went back and dropped my rating to 3 stars. I think that I let everyone else's "love" of the book peer pressure me into giving it 4 stars when it wasn't really a 4 star book for me.

I realized that I needed to be honest with myself and stop caring if I don't agree 100% with the love.

message 2794: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Well I hope it does because its boring me atm.

message 2795: by Stacia (the 2010 club) (last edited Jan 04, 2011 02:06PM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I remember when I read Fallen and was bored to death for the first 2/3 of the book and everyone was like "OMG I LOVE THIS BOOK." I felt so jerky when I was semi-bashing it.

The ending of that book was pretty great though, and the only reason I ended up going on to read and love Torment as much as I did. Torment was so much better, even if it has less Cam (sadface).

message 2796: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I was obsessed with Fallen back in the day when I first read it. Now its just okay. If not for Cam I would give up on the series probably.

message 2797: by Carina (new)

Carina I was checking my READ books the other day and I noticed that I have mostly 4 and 5 star ratings with a few 3 star. I was thinking either Im really generous or I've read really good books! I have NO 1 or 2 star ratings!!

message 2798: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Carina wrote: "I was checking my READ books the other day and I noticed that I have mostly 4 and 5 star ratings with a few 3 star. I was thinking either Im really generous or I've read really good books! I have ..."

About a month back I noticed that about mine too. So I went through and Re-rated xD

message 2799: by Carina (new)

Carina Sometimes I want to bring down a rating cause the book really wasnt that good, but for some reason I cant do it....Im a wuss =/

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) When I first joined GR, I had a lot of books that were much higher rated, and now I go back and adjust if I see something that's way off.

I remember when Twilight was the only PNR I had read so it got a 4 star rating, then several series later I had to go back and drop it to a 3 star after realizing that there were so many books I considered WAY better. Same with HoN. I really enjoyed it as my first read after Twilight, but most of those books are only 3 star for me now. Enjoyable, but not nearly as good as so many others.

VA and MI will never get an adjustment though. I will love those forever, no matter what else I read. VA book 1 only got a 3 star for me though, but the rest were all 5 star (the last could have been 4 star, but I was happy with Rose's pick so I felt generous).
