Firefly has the best comedy... I love it. Like Supernatural! Which the same guy produced... And I hated the theme song at first, but now I love it. lol Joss Whedon wrote it too... I can't wait till Serenity. I only have two episodes left!I LOVE Felicia Day! But I've noticed her giving books really strange ratings. But I love The Guild... Man, do I love The Guild.
I have finished Once Bitten, Twice Shy
2 starsKiss of Midnight
One of the scenes particularly creeped me out -the one where Lucan performs a sexual act on the heroine while she is sleeping. Apart from that it was ok I've been told that the series gets better so I'm not giving up on it yet. 3 starsLast Sacrifice
I found this one very slow until about half way through then it really did pick up and got really exciting that I couldn't put it down. I liked it, but it didn't leave me feeling much afterwards like the previous five novels in this series. It's no Blood Promise BUT still a very good read I love the cover design, The black heart made up of dragons, birds and flowers over the blood red background, the dripping blood effect and the simple silver lettering. 4 starsCatching Fire
a great number of plot twists were beyond anything I had imagined. And I didn't expect so much of it, Rest assured that this book destroys superbly the idea that the second in a trilogy is the weakest. If you have not read The Hunger Games, do so immediately. 5 starsI have started Angels' Blood
So, I have just finished Just Listen
and Matched
. Just Listen was ok. And Matched was good. Not what I was expecting, but was really good. Now I am starting Ghost Town
and Another Pan
Catherine wrote: "I LOVE Felicia Day! But I've noticed her giving books really strange ratings. But I love The Guild... Man, do I love The Guild..."Sorry, I ended up going to bed before saying anything last night. I adore her, but she and I do not share much of the same tastes in books. There are books that I love to which she gave terrible ratings, and books that I didn't like that she loved. Although, she's very big into epic fantasy and hard sci-fi, and while I appreciate both fantasy and sci-fi, I prefer both of those genres in YA and rarely read them in adult unless there's some sort of romance to soften the flowy or tedious language. The only series that her and I agree on is Tairen Soul. She gets points for liking that one since that series is all kinds of awesome.
Man, I still need to read books 8 and 9 of Morganville. I keep forgetting to and I've had the books for a while now. That's what happens when you're reading multiple series at the same time and can't seem to bother to keep track. :(
~♡Katie♡~ wrote: "started to read
last night"I saw in another group that you were having a hard time with it. I wasn't as fond of books 1 and 2 in this series. Have you already read the Fever series? If so I'd tell you to skip books 1 through 3 and go right to book 4, which is where the books not only start to get good, but also start tying in with the Fever series. Books 1 through 3 are slower and you don't really need to read them at all, since they're standalones and not part of the series arc.
Joanna wrote: "is Night Huntress series good??? and what's Night Huntress World? are those two different? I'm getting antsy waiting for Shadowfever. that's why I want to read another series. gaaah."To put it simply: READ NIGHT HUNTRESS!!!!
Wow sorry about that, but this series rocks!
PS. BONES!
I read the first NH World book and it was good, but I prefer Bones and Cat ;)

It's 3:20 a.m. here and I should be sleeping."

Britnee Michaelis wrote: "And the fact that Bones is very hot should also convince people"Preach it Brit!
How else are we going to convince people to read these books? I should have put a flow chart or graph with my review stats in the above post!
Carina wrote: "Britnee Michaelis wrote: "And the fact that Bones is very hot should also convince people"Preach it Brit!"
Lmao!
Took down that other one. I didn't like the side view. Figures it would flip pages on me right after I post it.
wow I love that pic! and yes I am still reading Night Huntress 1. :) i met Bones! and i am liking him very much. like Cat said, "what a jolly man." lol

4 so far but the 5th one comes out soon
Joanna wrote: "*Mrs.Brightside* wrote: "I'll get it(; and tell me how Angel's Blood is, Rebecca!"hey! Have you finished reading Shifters yet? :) amaaazing series that one. and you should definitely read Night H..."
Who doesn't love bones? ;D
lol. They're just really good series. One's a vampire hunter and the other one is what started the show True Blood.
@ Britnee I'm not sure if you'll like it, but I think the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon is pretty awesome :)
@Katty Okay I'll have a look. (: . Though I doubt my library have them, I'll probably end up buying them later on if they look good xD
@ Katty,If you like Dark Hunters you'll probably like Kenyon's other series The League. It's similar except it's assassins instead of gods/vamps/hunters, etc.
Joanna wrote: "lol you guys should always post announcements like that. that way I know what series to read after reading one. :)"
Okay based on who still needs to read what (no I'm not cracking a whip or obsessing over what others are reading...not all all *cough*) :
I still need to finish Kate Daniels (and start Chaos Walking) because Isa told me to, and finish Mercy Thompson because Carina told me to.
Britnee needs to read Fever (pronto so you can give us your theories before Shadowfever)
Carina needs to read Shifters, and Mrs. Brightside needs to finish Shifters
Joanna needs to read Chicagoland Vampires
Isa needs to read...hmmm...she's read most of the stuff I have and more. I want her to read The League since she likes BDB. And Hourglass Door.
Dora is reading NH I think (which is good)? So I'm waiting on her opinion
Timipre is reading BDB and I fully support and endorse those, so she's good at the moment
Artemis needs to read White Cat, since we support each other in our Jace from MI love.
Everyone else needs to read Night Huntress. Just because to know Bones is to love Bones. Then promptly move to the Fever series because Barrons is just as hot as Bones.
I'm always open to more suggestions, especially from those of you that know what I've read recently and what I might like based on that.
@Stacia Okay I will start the first Fever book either tonight or tomorrow. Because I've heard so many good things about it.
Awesome S. I have those too! I have most of the current PNR series in adult (including Anita), and several of the YA ones, it's just finding the time to get to them all.Was never fond of Sookie though for some reason.
