I'm rereading all of the House of Night books, and I'm currently on Betrayed right now. I'm thinking I might not be able to wait until February to start reading Darkfever, so I might just jump in on that one as soon as soon as I finish this book.

I think she liked Shay because he was like the shiny new toy and Ren was familiar to her.

We saw Ren through different eyes, but I know what it's like to have known someone forever and it's hard to find yourself attracted to them because of it.

My philosophy is, when you have to save a guy's ass from being mauled by a bear, do NOT date him. It means he's a total sissy. Lol. I know that it sounds really sexist, but I mean, as women we're wired to want a guy to protect us, not the other way around.

As much as I loved Adrian in VA (and I did love him), I had a hard time with him bailing on Rose and leaving her alone with Dimitri when they were in Vegas. That was sort of the defining moment when I felt that he was not the right one for her. It would have been weird to see her as the "guy" in the relationship.

Gawd, I liked Adrian, but felt that he seriously need to grow a pair. It wasn't really right that he expected to hide behind Rose while she protected him, and certainly not equal. Besides, the way they described him made him sound like he was frail and a total wuss.
