In HoN I really wanted to kick Zoey for returning to Heath time and time again, but in VA I found Dimitri's angst after being re-vamped(?)annoying... I really felt sorry for both female MCs...
Still, I LOVE both of those HoN and VA!
(and, yes, i did say "re-vamped")

I enjoyed Eyes Like Stars (Théâtre Illuminata, #1) by Lisa Mantchev ... Its different. The MCs humor reminded me of Hex Hall.

Shiver is actually the first book I read this summer and loved! Its what got me back into reading after a couple of years of neglecting it, Im so glad I found that book and with it my love of reading lol =)

message 222: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (bexsi) I do love VA and will be starting Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy, #5) by Richelle Mead soon but I do prefer HON Burned (House of Night, #7) by P.C. Cast is my fave.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Burned would have been so much better if the whole book was in Stevie Ray's point of view.

Is it wrong for me to want her with a bird though?

message 224: by *Mrs. Brightside* (new)

*Mrs. Brightside* At least VA had me hooked from the first page!!!
I'm still not hooked on HoN and I'm halfway through the third book! I'm suprised I didn't give up on this series..changed my mind! I'm reading The Awakening (Darkest Powers, #2) by Kelley Armstrong now!

I thought the bird was a bit annoying. All he kept talking about was his father. His father who didn't give a damn about him.

Personally, I prefer Aphrodite's POV. Oh, how I love characters who can make me laugh :D

Excerpt from Persnickety Snark: "Chloe Saunders sees dead people. Yes, like in the films. The problem is, in real life saying you see ghosts gets you a one-way ticket to the psych ward. And at 15, all Chloe wants to do is fit in at school and maybe get a boy to notice her. But when a particularly violent ghost haunts her, she gets noticed for all the wrong reasons. Her seemingly crazed behaviour earns her a trip to Lyle House, a centre for 'disturbed teens'..."

its about a girl who gets sent to a mental hospital or mental teen group home really, because she is seeing things then she finds out she really isnt seeing things as in the crazy sense she can see ghosts something is wrong with the group home so her and her friends escape and have crazy adventures trying to get free of the mental institute/group it is a VERY good book you should definitely check it out

message 245: by *Mrs. Brightside* (new)

*Mrs. Brightside* Darkest Powers is about how Chloe and some people she knows have powers, and they're on the run from people who want to keep them locked up. Sorry! I'm not the best explain-er..

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) About halfway through Lord of Misrule (The Morganville Vampires, #5) by Rachel Caine then moving on to Insatiable by Meg Cabot

message 247: by Carina (new)

Carina Dora610; I love Simon! He's there for Clary waiting for her to love him back and its really sad. He reminds me of how bad I felt for Jacob when he loved Bella in Eclipse.

I am on the 4th book of the Black Daggar Brotherhood novels and am loving them!!

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) Right now at this minute, I'm reading The Devil's Kiss (Billi SanGreal, #1) by Sarwat Chadda which is seriously AWESOME. Don't judge a book by it's cover. It's amazing.

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) And by the way, I'm recommending it for fans of Vampire Academy.
