Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I've been slacking on reading galleys. I keep having them disappear on me when the two months is up before I get a chance to read them, since there's a time limit on how long you get to have them.

Just snagged Iron Queen, but was disappointed to find that the Soul Screamers book was taken down after 2 days so I missed out on it.

Hmm so its a light read??
Im asking cause Im in the middle of Forest of Hands and Teeth and I had to put it down a couple days ago. It was getting too depressing so I read the ending. Boy that was a bad idea! Now I dont feel like finishin it =(....

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Oh nooo...that's one book you probably shouldn't have skipped ahead on, lmao. I liked FoHaT, but know that it's not for everyone.

This book is entirely different from Forest. It's been easy to get into and enjoyable to read, but I'm finding that there are entire scenes that could have been cut out to make the book even better. Some authors need to take a "less is more" mentality with their writing.

message 1461: by Carina (new)

Carina Yea its a real bummer cause i was really liking it. I just got too anxious to find out the happy ending. Well Im still looking for that 'happy ending'. I'll still try to finish it though.

I totally agree with you on that 'less is more'. Some scenes go on for ever and they just make the book drag...

If you read the actual book summary, it will probably be a much better description than mine. I suck at it, so I just try not to give much away.

message 1488: by Carina (new)

They're decent. They're "comfy," that's why I like 'em, aha. But if I read too much at a time, like when I read 1-3 in under two weeks, I seriously wanted to punch the author for making them talk the way they do.

Neither it was just .. uneventful?

It's pretty good so far. It's kinda a murder mystery mixed with Paranormal. This girl, April, moves to a new town and murders start happening there.
