me too ;n;
@Isa yes, I am having that error thing and its so effing annoying.
Booooh! I want more Vlad!...and my computer is acting stupid too. I think its conspiring against me with GR! *gasp*
I really hate the girl on the chair. I always assumed she was Alice in Wonderland for some reason.I finally got some reading time in tonight after a couple of days of not doing much, and got about halfway into Bloodlines.
<3 Eddie. and Adrian too, but I'm loving Eddie.
Don't be difficult. You're allowed to like more than one guy. I'm liking Lee, but also not sure if I should. He's hiding something. I can feel it. Maybe he's really not a nice guy and is evil underneath.
I'm not really liking Micah, and watch, he'll end up not being sinister like I think he is.
Oh, and then there's the teacher's aide guy. Forgot his name. Trey maybe? I have the feeling he's going to be into Sydney too. It's going to be weird if there's a bunch of love triangles going on. It almost looks like Jill's going to have at least 3 guys liking her, and Sydney might get 2 (not counting whoever that guy was who liked her back in VA).
He was somehow associated with the Alchemists. I don't remember his name and I don't think he's shown up in this book yet. Not sure where he is.
Luckily I haven't read far enough to have to worry about giving any spoilers away one way or the other, but that's my guess.
Yeah. She's never been a character I've liked, but I'm sure in time I'll grow to like her. It's nice that Mead knows how to make all of her characters different.I look at the guys from her series - Roman, Seth, Adrian, Dimitri, Kiyo, Dorian. None of them are alike. Not very many authors are good enough at changing up their characters.
I hope I will to or the series will be a lot more annoying to read.Dorian *U* I keep forgetting she wrote Storm Born. I can't wait to see what Seth is like. He better be as cool as you say he is.
By the looks of the conversations that go on here, I really should pick up a va book and give it a try?

If you like Roman better, I will disown you.

I doubt I will. I don't like his name.

I think the girl's Alice too... as to the guy who liked sidney.. I dont think he ever showed up in Bloodlines. There are so many new guys in it, right?
There are a LOT of new guys. What about that jerky alchemist guy? What the heck kind of history do him and Sydney have I wonder. Maybe I need to keep reading to find out if it's in the first book. The guy from VA must be coming back at some point. I can't imagine that Mead would have made such a point of him being interested if he wasn't coming back.
It does seem like a massive guy overload. So far it's Jill, Sydney and like 6 guys or something!

the boy with the glass eye? what a ginormous jerk! i like Micah! What part are you in right now?
I'm just at the halfway point, and for some reason can't remember where I left off at.So Micah isn't bad then...hmmm...it has to be Lee. He is awfully interested in Jill, and she is in protective custody.
Yeah, the guy with the glass eye is so annoying!
Right now I love Adrian (of course), Eddie (loving how protective he is of Jill) and thought I might like Lee, but I'm guessing he has to be secretly bad now...

I'm not telling! Now while I do like Micah, IMO Adrian is the best part of the book. Eddie's reactions too were priceless!
I'm just happy that Eddie is making me not miss Dimitri so much, but he's not a Dimitri clone at all. He's definitely a bit more...what's the word? Antsy? I can't put my finger on it. He's less mature and not as serious, but still got that hot protector thing going on.
Stacia *joins in on the b&w love wrote: "He could watch my back anyday if he wanted to..."lol! what do you think of Jill and Syd?
Jill hasn't said/done much yet other than get sick in the sun, but I think she's going to be a fun character knowing how full of life she was before.Still not crazy about Sydney, but I have faith that Mead will make me like her in time. And if I don't...at least I'll have the guys.

when I started it, I kept comparing syd to rose and jill to lissa! totally not fair of me because they ARE different... but at least (view spoiler)
oh the things we find out in the end... had me really curious about where mead would take the story.
It's going to be a long time before the next book too. Next up is the final Storm Born/Dark Swan book at the end of this year. Now I'm curious what theme her next adult series will be. She said she has plans to have 1 YA and 1 adult going at the same time, but after she gets settled in with her baby.

*big grin* I cant wait to get my hands on the last succubus book!
I'm going to be happy dancing all over the place. I will be breaking out my excited Shadowfever avatar again on release day.
Stacia *joins in on the b&w love wrote: "Do you think you'll read Dark Swan at some point?"I am planning on reading DARK SWAN but only after clearing some more ARCs from my TBR. Also I've got to read Demon King (you and brit love it.. :)
so I might get to darkswan in maybe three weeks or so... (if I keep to my reading schedule.)
I finished
which was amazing; as usual. Now going to read either
(I know Isa doesn't recommend it but I wanna see for myself) orrr
maybe.
I finished Bloodlines this morning and even though not everyone liked it, I'm going to end up going 4 stars because I enjoyed the whole book other than the first few chapters. Right after we had our last convo, and I started reading, (view spoiler)
Stacia *joins in on the b&w love wrote: "It's going to be a long time before the next book too. "And this is exactly why I'm holding off on reading Bloodlines.
I am DYING to read after all your comments, and I've been soooo close to giving in buuuuut, then I remember how long it'll be before the next one comes out. Ant the one after that, and the one after that.
Am I being ridiculous?
If it's a book series I really want to read, I want to read it so I don't have something spoiled in the meantime. If the series is one I'm liking but it's not one of my favorites, I can put it off and don't really get all that upset if something gets spoiled, sort of how I've been with the latest Chicagoland book. I know it has a huge cliffy, so I'll probably just wait and read it when the next one comes out. If I stumble on a spoiler, oh well.
I seriously think everyone who said there wasn't much Adrian in Bloodlines were not reading the same book as me, because he was all over the second half of the book.
The first chapter from Adrian's PoV that was cut from the book :http://shelf-life.ew.com/2011/08/03/v...
You can read this Carina. It doesn't spoil anything for the book. It was the original version of chapter one, but Mead got rid of it when she decided to get rid of the 3rd person PoV (it was originally going to be rotating viewpoints), and the book now has a completely different chapter with a different instance in Sydney's PoV.
*sigh* This is one I REALLY want to read. I don't want to read any spoilers but I keep remembering how much I loved VA(sounds like a re-read is in order, lol) and how happy I was that I didn't have to wait more than 2 month before Last Sacrifice was released. I just don't know if its better to read em as they come or wait for at least 3 or 4 of them to be out.
