that's what I think too Stacia! Anyway, Bloodlines is totally worth the read... I am a loyal Adrian fan... no matter what Im reading the rest.. I cannot get enough of that boy.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I have complete faith in Mead to pull out a good series in the end, even if this one book isn't exceptional. I wasn't a huge fan of VA book 1, and only liked book 1 of Succubus and Dark Swan a little better. She's the master of making a story grow bigger and better with each book.

Same here~I do like Dimitri but Adrian is way better!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I love Adrian and can't wait to read more about him, but he never gave me that intense feeling of anticipation the way Dimitri did through the good, then the bad, then the redemption.

But I will probably learn to love Adrian more now that there's going to be a focus on him. I actually am psyched to see more of Eddie. That guy got NO play, but he seemed to be cute and was always there to jump in the action. That has to count for something! He needs a girl!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Anyway, I'm still WAY more excited for the last Succubus book than anything. Like Shadowfever release excited. I'm not sure when it happened but somewhere along the line I realized that I loved the Succubus series more than VA, and I didn't think that was going to happen.

I'm seriously so "not caring" anymore about Night Huntress after the last book was kind of boring. I said I'd read it for a group read, but I'm like eh...not really excited.

message 8106: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Dimitri is hot but seems so serious and boring. And I wanna see more of Eddie to! But not..Jill.

Gosh... now I cant wait to hear what you think of Bloodlines especially with regard to all the other characters. I'm just surprised with how Jill came across!

message 8108: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) @Stacia I'm not really that hyped about the new NH either. I'm only reading it for Vlad. I'm kind of over bones and Cat now

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Brittany wrote: "Dimitri is hot but seems so serious and boring. And I wanna see more of Eddie to! But not..Jill."

He was sexy and brooding. And he was a badass Strigoi.

Adrian was the party boy - great for dating on the short term. You'd have a lot of fun, but after you hung out for a while, his antics would get old. I would have dated Adrian while in high school, and Dimitri while in college. I do like them both though!

I'm so not complaining about getting to read more about Adrian. :) Not at all! I'm looking forward to it.

Jill - did she grow up more? Become a floozy? A Beotch?

WAS EDDIE IN THE STORY AT ALL?

Eddie has a pretty important role in it :) and by the end of the book I felt like 'I need more!'

Jill is none of those things...she just seemed passive to me. Can anyone remember what she was like in VA?

message 8111: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Jill..I can't really remember her tbh. She's just..there. I hope she doesn't bring the series down B|

And yay for lots of Eddie!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) She was a little hyper and clingy in VA. She was crushing on Adrian and idolizing Rose.

Please Eddie don't disappoint! I want you to be my new guy crush.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I know it's not going to go this way, but I wanted Jill and Adrian to hook up. I really didn't want Sydney and Adrian as a couple, but I'm guessing that's where it's headed.

message 8114: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) If Jill is as Isa says then I don't want her with him. But I don't really like Sydney that much either.

Right! hyper Adrian crush right? (I totally get where she was coming from btw) But she's so different here!.. As to Eddie! OMG! I like where the story went with him in it.. 'twas so dramatic! *grin*

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Okay, so I was just saying this on Brit's update status, but we're talking about the Mead graphic novels.

Have you looked at the pics of Eugenie in Dark Swan? She looks just like Richelle Mead.

One sec, I'll go find my post in another group.

wowza! i think i'd go for this...

message 8119: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Oh that ones a lot nicer than the VA art.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I think it's so adorable that the comic artists drew her to look like the writer.

Anyway, I feel only semi-bad for hijacking the topic.

What's everyone reading these days? *cough*

message 8121: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) We always hijack topics though.

Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy, #1) by Richelle Mead because I can't really remember it. And The Iron Knight (Iron Fey, #4) by Julie Kagawa which is definitely superior because it's the iron fey.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I'm buying this one.

message 8123: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Lissa looks horrible.

message 8124: by Isamlq (last edited Aug 25, 2011 12:00AM) (new)

Isamlq "We always hijack topics though.." don't we though?

I prefer the dark swan graphic too the VA one~ :) reading a bunch of ARCs again :)

heading out! bye guys!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Lissa looks like crap. Rose looks good because they got her skin tone right (she doesn't look white!). Dimitri's got that brooding look, so I'm all over it.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Cya.

message 8127: by brittany (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I'll put the link in the Shadowfever topic, but there's going to be more Fever books coming, we just found out.

Already knew she was about a week back. She did a survey thing on FB.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Yet, you did not update.

Fail.

message 8138: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I forgot. She took a survey thing for who people most want to be in another series. Most people said um Barrons friend. His name has slipped my mind. You'll know who though.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Ryodan? He's probably my second favorite guy. Everyone else likes Christian better, but I'm a Ryo girl. He's so mysterious and jerky, but in a way that makes you want to know what the hell happened to him in his past. You know that his story is going to be big.

I already know Christian's family background about the druids because I read the highlander series about his family, so I'm already kind of knowing where it's going.

Dani and Ryo would be a hot hookup, as long as she's aged to 18 by then.

message 8140: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Oh yes him. Ah yeah a lot of people said Christian to. I don't like him

She will probably set it a few years later. But I hate Dani.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I just want to see Dani get turned out. Ryo is a lot like Barrons, except even more cruel, so I think he would be a huge shock to the system for Dani. He'd probably be even more annoyed at her bounciness, like an even more extreme version of how Barrons got all over Mac for being rainbow girl at first.

message 8142: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Oh yeah that'd be good.

message 8143: by Carina (new)

Carina Saw it!
I think I will, slowly but surely, start reading the Highlander series, since I never got around to it back when Shadowfever was released.

message 8144: by Isamlq (last edited Aug 26, 2011 04:54PM) (new)

Isamlq done with Zero by Tom Leveen . now reading Ambitious (Premiere High #1) by Monica McKayhan ..eh why not?

@Stacia, I got approved for Saving June. I just should have been patient!
