Fickle.

(I understand. I'm so over half the celebrity crushes I used to have, and am even more over most of my book crushes. I only have a few left these days, and not many from pnr anymore.)

I forgot what episode I was on in the Vampire Knight anime, but I know what volume I'm on in the manga. I checked out the first season of Black Butler on dvd from my library on Wednesday. Have you heard of that anime/magna series?

Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) is my ultimate favourite! Is it in english dub now? I prefer it in japanese with subtitles. I hope you love it! I have the manga to but haven't read it yet.

Yeah it is in English dub now licensed by Funimation which I think they do a good job on the people they have to voice the english dub.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Yay, you're reading again. :)

brittany (cirilla) Stacia *steals Leea's coffee wrote: "Yay, you're reading again. :)"

I am indeed. I haven't wanted to read for months and now I suddenly really want to. Weird.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) It's weird to see any activity around here these days. Most of the regulars have disappeared. Aiyanna's been gone for a while too I notice.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Errr...Artemis. I don't think I'll ever remember to change the name in my head.

message 7985: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Yeah I think it's only you, Carina and sometimes Isa nowadays. Jess is barely ever around (I think).

message 7986: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Btw, when does Dorian show up?

message 7987: by Isamlq (new)

Isamlq hi guys!!!!

message 7988: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Hello!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Hi!

I think Dorian shows up not too far into the book.

So I am wondering if I shouldn't have liked Kiyo at first. I think I'm the only person who liked him in the first book. Everyone else seems to like Dorian, but I didn't start liking him until book 2. Now I'm still not sure who I like better, but I think Kiyo and Dorian are both selfish. It seems like there's these hints though that Kiyo is not truthful about anything. I'm curious to know how this is going to play out for you.

message 7990: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Atm..I'm nor actually sure if I like Kiyo. I thought I would..with him being part Asian..but I'm not feeling it. Maybe I'll change my mind? I'll probably like Dorian more. Didn't you say he was kind of like V'lane?

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) And what are you up to Isa?

message 7992: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Wait what o.o

If you don't like Kiyo in book 1, chances are you're going to be a Dorian fan. Kiyo becomes sort of a jerk as the series goes on.

Dorian does remind me a little bit of a watered down V'lane.

Crystalclearwpg (chrystal-clear) | 12 comments I agree with what you said about keeping it the same pace. I'm finding now that its more about the sex than the story and thats why I stopped reading romance books years ago. I want a story that keeps me going not just parts here and there and you forget what the story was even about. Like right now i'm about 3/4 done and I have no idea even why the book is called Narcissus in Chains. That character was mentioned in the beginning and that was all...

Not sure if I was actually looking for advise or just insite into what others think

Thanks for your insite though...

for those who are wondering what the topic is I'm reading Narcissus in Chains by Laurell K. Hamilton..
removed my previous post because I forgot that I was on a YA site and this is an adult book.....no direspect intended

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Okay, that's weird.

I replied to a comment from someone else that got deleted, so it looks like I have this random answer. I even hit the reply on his/her comment before answering.

Guess I need to delete it now.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Haha! Then I delete it and there's another comment.

I'm confused now.

oh! You can talk about adult books here. It's actually mainly what a lot of us talk about lol

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I read about half and half adult and ya, and I talk about adult books all the time in here. We even have an adult folder about halfway down the page.
