Beth (the one who is) | 29 comments I'm reading Steel by Carrie Vaughn. It's different because it's about pirates and it's also time traveling book. Recommended read.

I am not even 100 pages in and I am annoyed by the main character who keeps talking about her sister and hers deceased stepmother.

Strange Angels was just ok for me, but everyone seems to love those books, so don't feel alone.

I am with you on that even though I have not read Defiance yet. I want Dru to end up with Christophe in the end ever since I read Jealousy because of one intense scene in that book which I won't spoil for anybody who have not read that book or series yet.

Intense scene? hmmm *reads jealously faster*

I don't know why Christophe, Graves is nice enough, but the way Lili St Crow writes his character makes me only see him as a friend, where she writes Christophe as a mystery and I see him as Dru's lover (the only word I could think of!)

Jen wrote: "I'm reading The Ghost and the Goth (The Ghost and the Goth, #1) by Stacey Kade& trying to finish Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy, #5) by Richelle Mead"

OMG, Spirit Bound was pretty great, I love the VA series! :)

I only see Graves and Dru like brother and sister where as I see Christophe as Dru's lover. I guess we will see when the final book releases later this year.

Alison | 234 comments A question, totally unrelated to books but some of you are very tech savvy esp for Goodreads. I changed my profile pic, even deleted the one you see here so why is this old pic still showing on everything but my author page? Doesn't make sense. Any help gratefully appreciated :-)

Wasn't If I Stay amazing?!?!?!?!? Where She Went is from Adam's POV. It starts off a little slow for me but picks up. It is a good book and I recommend it but let's be honest, it is almost impossible to top If I Stay!!!

I agree. I am about to finish Strange Angels and it is not amazing but not so bad either.
Oh, Forever's release day is your birthday? It is so cool :) You're lucky. I love The Wolves of Mercy Falls Series. This is final book and I know it's gonna be great.

I actually liked, more like loved, Before I Fall alot more than If I Stay. BIF made me weep like a little girl through out the whole book and IIS, was just good. But alot of people love IIS, don't know why I wasn't as into it, as everyone else.

Carina Darkshadow, Shiver was the book that started it all for me, last year. Since then I've been reading non-stop =) Love that series!

Need by Carrie Jones was the first book I have read that got me to reading again 2 years ago. I used to read a lot when I was kid, but as I got older, I lost touch with it and found other things to do with my time.

I liked Before I Fall a lot better too. They just sort of 'resemble' one another a bit to me.
By the way, I too LOVED Shiver!!!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I am always the one who sucks the fun out of everything apparently because I didn't love Shiver. I liked it, but didn't love the book. It was very dull and slow in parts. I thought Linger was much better because Cole > Sam for me.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Then again, I also thought Beautiful Creatures/Darkness were highly overrated...

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) ...and you all can just ignore me. I'm having a serious case of bad allergies today and find myself grumpier than usual.

I apologize for my fun sucking.

message 7296: by Carina (new)

Carina I also thought that Beautiful Creatures and SPECIALLY Beautiful Darkness were extremly over rated, but thats just me so because I can sympathize with you on that, Stacia, I will let your comment on Shiver slip. (Lol)

Hope your allergies get better.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) What's funny is that I had JUST finished having a conversation in another group about how we hate book bullies who pick on others for their book choices.

There's a difference between bullying and expressing an opinion. Bullying would be outright saying they sucked because they like that book. lol.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I remember a friend of mine once saying she'd never date a guy who read anything by Tucker Max because it means he sucks.
