Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) North of Beautiful is written in prose style, which also makes me hesitate.

message 7202: by Carina (new)

Carina Here's a really dumb question....what is prose style?

message 7203: by Esra (new)

Esra (lostnspace) | 35 comments I finished Hazy Shade of Winter by Jessica Bradshaw and starting to read Kiss of Snow (Psy-Changeling, #10) by Nalini Singh

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Finished Forever... by Judy Blume and now reading One for the Money (Stephanie Plum, #1) by Janet Evanovich and loving it!

message 7205: by Catherine (new)

Catherine (cattymccat) | 754 comments I've been wanting to read the Stephanie Plum books, but keep putting them off because the covers throw me...

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) The covers are pretty plain. I don't see anything bad about them?

I was only thrown off because the series is LONG. It's up to book 17 now. But the mods voted it as a buddy read for our women's chat group, so I ended up reading it because of that. I'm glad because it's been fun so far.

message 7207: by Catherine (new)

Catherine (cattymccat) | 754 comments The colors are just weird to me. It's not that they are ugly necessarily, just.... strange. And that *is* a long series. But I'm always sad when a series is over, so I guess that might be a good thing.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I was told that the books are sort of separate entities, so you can take a break and not have to read them back to back. If I do end up still liking the book by the time I'm done with it, I'll probably wait to read the second. Maybe do one book a month or something.

message 7209: by Schay (new)

Schay Currently reading: Delirium (Delirium, #1) by Lauren Oliver
I'm not sure what to make of it. The synopsis sounded great, but now that I'm actually reading it, there are a few things which don't particularly make sense :|

message 7210: by Carina (new)

Carina Starting The Reckoning The Reckoning (Darkest Powers, #3) by Kelley Armstrong

message 7211: by Mirna (new)

Mirna After i had a talk with my sis, Carina, about how I wasn't sure about reading the BDB books, not that I don't intent on reading them, I'm not feelling like reading more PNR so she sugested some boks for me....

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins The DUFF (Designated Ugly Fat Friend) by Kody Keplinger Going Too Far by Jennifer Echols It's Not Summer Without You (Summer, #2) by Jenny Han Forget You by Jennifer Echols Nothing Like You by Lauren Strasnick Something Like Fate by Susane Colasanti also Bloom by Elizabeth Scott..... yeah I guess that's it... lol

Lol Stephanie Plum <.<;;;;;

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Yeah, it's pretty good so far. I got sidetracked with another adult book for part of the night and couldn't stop reading because it's so good.

Mirna,

I get overloaded if I try to read too much of one genre. Nothing wrong with taking a break and trying BDB later if you get in the mood. Plus, I'm always excited to see people read Anna. :p

message 7216: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I only read the 15th one but Jenni has read them all.

Isamlq Magic Slays (Kate Daniels, #5) by Ilona Andrews soooooo good!!!!

message 7219: by Carina (new)

Carina Finished The Reckoning last night. I liked it, but it didn't really feel like the end to a series. I would feel better about it if there was another book after this.

Anyways, I'm starting Take Me There Take Me There by Carolee Dean

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Yay. :)

Just started 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson . I've been reading a lot of adult stuff, so I wanted to pick up something fun and light.

I'm debating if I should preorder that now because I am really thinking about getting a kindle. I just need to borrow my older bro's kindle and see if I like it before I buy one on a whim on amazon.

When you do get to read Before I Fall, have a kleenex box handy. Love that book. But Anna is definetly a great book!

I'll let you know how Passion is! And about Before I Fall... Does someone die? Because if they do... I'm not sure I can handle that with my past 7 months...

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I will Carina. Didn't have any time to really read today, so maybe tomorrow I'll get to it.

Catherine, I think someone does die in it? I haven't read that one yet, but I know Carina has.

I do too which is signed by Lauren Kate herself whom I met in October of last year. I've got the kindle application for my computer for right now.

Before I Fall, does deal with death and lose. Its definetly an emotional roller coaster, so if this is a risky subject to you, I suggest skipping it until you're ready =)

Catherine (cattymccat) | 754 comments I finished Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins (which I thought was just too cute & I loved.. not cute in a cheesy kid way either) & I'm starting The Road by Cormac McCarthy . Wish me luck on the The Road. I tried to read it about a year ago & didn't get past the first chapter. I'm going to push through this time though.

message 7241: by Carina (new)

Carina @Isa Moving up Feed on my to-read list!(I think I might have gotten it very cheap or free for my kindle a few days ago, thanks to the ladies at the powder room group)

@Catherine Yay for Anna!

Catherine (cattymccat) | 754 comments I'm giving up on The Road by Cormac McCarthy after a chapter & moving on to One Foot in the Grave (Night Huntress, #2) by Jeaniene Frost . Maybe one day I'll finally make it through The Road, but I don't see it happening. It was my Book To Movie choice for this months challenge, but I've changed that to If I Stay...

I kinda felt that she left a little bit hanging in the Reckoning too. Maybe she did just incase she ever wanted to surprise us with another. Have you read the new book in the new series, The Gathering? It is on my to-read list. I haven't heard much buzz about it though.

message 7249: by Esra (new)

Esra (lostnspace) | 35 comments finished Kiss of snow -nalini singh (it was full of moments hubba hubba for me :D ) and now reading Strange Angels (Strange Angels, #1) by Lilith Saintcrow --> seems very strange book. I dunno :=))

message 7250: by Carina (new)

Carina I've heard good things about The Gathering, Debra. But I don't plan on reading it until all 3 books are out =)
