Debra Jo Reads (debrajo) just finished The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins and all I can say is WOW!!! I can't believe I put it off this long. It was amazing!!! Today is my last day of work for a week and a half. I plan to bring Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins with me on vacation but there are so many other reads on my list too. I am just getting into Demon Girl (Rae Wilder, #1) by Penelope Fletcher and I am liking it so far. I have been on an unintentional dystopian kick.... Wither (Chemical Garden, #1) by Lauren DeStefano The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins Demon Girl (Rae Wilder, #1) by Penelope Fletcher .... I think I may have to change it up a bit to something a lil softer, a good paranormal romance. ANY SUGGESTIONS?!?!?!?!?

The only good paranormal romance I can think of at the top of my head at the moment is the Night Huntress series Jeanine Frost. It is an adult series because of some of the content in it. If you don't mind that content from the language to the sex, then I recommend that series to you.

I've been wanting to read it for about a year now, but haven't. I thought it might be kind of like Ghostgirl (Ghostgirl, #1) by Tonya Hurley for some reason... (I have no idea why. I think maybe I just considered buying Jonas on the same day I bought Ghostgirl.) And that kind of turned me off of reading it, but it's been one I've always wondered about. :)

I am liking it so far, but I hate their father, the King right now because of how he acts when the girls' mother dies! It is like he does not love them at all!

Courtney K (cklueh) Just finished up my May challenges with The Declaration by Gemma Malley . It was pretty intense, so I think I should start the summer with a light read. I'm having trouble filling my June categories, though. I've got Delirium (Delirium, #1) by Lauren Oliver that I didn't get to this month and Trance by Linda Gerber , but those seem pretty intense as well. Hmmmm....

message 7196: by thesebooksiread (new)

thesebooksiread I loved the Morganville books! They were so much fun!

Right now, I am reading Night Shift by Lilith Saintcrow. I am not too far into it and so far it is pretty good. I haven't been "hooked" yet but I am still enjoying it! I've heard good things about this series and I loved The Strange Angels series so I am giving it a try! I have been reading the Night Huntress series and after those a lot of books that I normally would enjoy have been kinda boring! :(

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Usually if I read a really good series, I'll try to switch to another genre afterward, otherwise I'll compare too much.

Have you read Fever yet?

message 7198: by Carina (last edited May 31, 2011 04:00PM) (new)

Carina Halfway throu Anna and the French Kiss Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins , hoping to finish by tonight so I can start reading The Reckoning The Reckoning (Darkest Powers, #3) by Kelley Armstrong (I picked it up today from the library)

message 7199: by Isamlq (new)

Isamlq reading North of Beautiful by Justina Chen Headley :)

@Carina, what do you think of Anna and the French Kiss so far?... I'm so jealous of the folks who got to attend BEA over there, and snag early copies of Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins !!!

message 7200: by Carina (new)

Carina I'm really liking it. Its really funny. When is Lola and the Boy Next Door coming out?

I've seen North of Beautiful get good and not so good reviews, so I hesitated in reading it. Let me know what you think of it Isa.
