I got declined AGAIN! WTFTHEYHATEME.

What ya think of CoFA?

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I liked it fine. The first half was a little slow, but the last few chapters were pretty good. Not my favorite from the series.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I didn't have any Jace rage. (view spoiler)

Alec's insecurities were actually quite adorable.

I love you Clary but I can't be with you. Whatever whiner boy.

They were. I feel bad for him. OMG Magnus 'mermaids' lmao

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) That one was quote worthy.

message 6508: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Its epicness.

I love Tessa way more than Clary. She cracks me up.

Amy ~Lover of Books~ Exposed by Kimberly Marcus and Shimmer (Riley Bloom, #2) by Alyson Noel which I should hopefully finish both today because Exposed is a novel in verse and Shimmer is a small book.

If you didn't like the first one, there's a good chance you won't like the second. In many ways it has a lot of similarities to the original.

Alison | 234 comments Well I finally finished The Iron Queen (Iron Fey, #3) by Julie Kagawa . It took me a while coz work is just crazy right now (One week to go, then it's all over for another year, bar the extensions) *big grins and sighs of relief*

I admit I did have a few tears towards the end of this book. But the ending was just plain sad. I dunno it left me feeling empty. I don't mind being left to feel confused, anxious, startled but empty... I just didn't like how it made me feel. Not sure I could ever write an ending that way, but each to their own. Ho-hum it's a good job she's writing another.

I'm excited coz, thanks to a certain person in this group, I've officially joined The Mortal Instruments bandwagon YAY me!! *whoops and hollars*

Started City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare . I am already completely hooked just a few chapters in. I toyed with reading Clockwork Angel first but decided to start at the very beginning.

Hopfully next week I'll be around a bit more :-)

I'm reading

City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare too, Alison. I wanted to read Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, #1) by Cassandra Clare first (I love the Victorian Era) but I decided that it was best to start at the beginning, as well. This past weekend I just went out and bought book 2,3 & 4 of The Mortal Instruments, since I already am enjoying City of Bones so much.

Good lord you all are killing me. If you want to write a book series that goes on, you can't keep the characters happy and in love all the time. There has to be some conflict at some point.

Its not the relationship problems that annoyed me. well it kinda did because they already had a heap for the first 3 books I wanted them to have happiness for ATLEAST one book. I just miss old Jace you know snarky and sarcastic he completely changed! I woulda like it better if he acted more like Will. I think that she could have done alot better job if she didn't rush it really. should have focused on ID because now we have to wait ages for CP!

This is the most I've ever written o.o

I don't blame you. It isn't bad but I would have liked it to have stayed a trilogy.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Where have Jess, Carina, Meg, etc. all been recently? It looks like I might have to start reading more late at night instead of surfing the net. It's been pretty dead.

Yay! Im so glad you liked The Gathering (Darkness Rising, #1) by Kelley Armstrong because Im about to start it. I just finished Hereafter (Hereafter, #1) by Tara Hudson The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary E. Pearson

The first part of Paranormalcy is slow... but I ended up really liking it :)

message 6544: by Courtney (new)

Courtney K (cklueh) I loved all those books, Holly. I would suggest reading Hex Hall #2. I had to wait until it was out and I forgot a lot of what happened in between.

I'm reading The Book of Tomorrow by Cecelia Ahern and My Soul to Take (Soul Screamers, #1) by Rachel Vincent . They both have something to do with Ireland, which is kinda weird and unintentional.

Are you in the YA Sci-Fi & Fantasy group by any chance? We're doing Alanna as one of our monthly reads.

Awww...tell her I miss her too.

I haven't read Eona yet, but am actually really liking Eon now. I think it just took me a while to get into because I hadn't been reading as much epic fantasy lately. Although, I can't imagine how it would be compared to Shadowfever. Two different genres, two different themes, two different age ranges. It's like comparing a french fry to a hamburger. They're both good, but not the same thing at all.

message 6548: by Carina (new)

Carina Hi guys! *waves*
Reading Bloom Bloom by Elizabeth Scott ....I'm in a realistic fiction phase right now.(I loved Going Too Far!)
I'm thinking about going out to buy Anna and the French Kiss and Forbidden. I'm putting off reading City of Fallen Angels and the Screamers series for a little while until I get my YA PN mojjo back ;D

message 6549: by Stacia (the 2010 club) (last edited Apr 12, 2011 03:05PM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) There you are! :) How's life treating you?

Anna and Forbidden are on opposite ends of the spectrum but both so good! Anna is fun and sweet, Forbidden is just heartbreaking. I don't give out a lot of 5 stars these days, but both books deserved them.

Nothing wrong with taking a break from PNR. I'm about to try and get some historicals and fantasy going on.

message 6550: by Carina (new)

Carina Life has been busy....and looks like the rest of the week is gonna be the same, so I've been reading a little more that browsing the web.

Thats one of the reasons I wanted to read those 2. Forbidden will break my heart and I'll have Anna and the French Kiss close by to pick me up ;)

After reading BDB 1-8 I'm in a little series over load, so I'm trying to read stand alone books for the moment.
