message 6263: by Stacia (the 2010 club) (last edited Mar 31, 2011 09:55PM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Not always a good enough reason. You wanna know how many times people have told me to read the Immortals series?

I was gone most of the day and night, so no reading for me.

message 6264: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) WELL Stacia it is 100 000 times better than that series. I have very good taste -nod-

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I think I've lost my fantasy mojo. Eon has been good so far, but I find myself skimming some of the details about stuff in the background that doesn't interest me. I blame all these instant gratification genres for making me apathetic to world building lately.

Wonder if I need to submerge myself in some fantasy for a while to get my mojo back.

message 6266: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I loooove Eon. Pity I'm not gunna buy Eona D<

I've lost my reading mojo. After CoFA I'm taking a break.

message 6274: by Jen (new)

Jen (jennifer_ashmy) | 245 comments I vote Clockwork Angel too ^^, because I am dying to read it as well, haha! And if you read it, you can eventually read CoFA which looks like its gonna be really good.

message 6275: by Stacia (the 2010 club) (last edited Apr 01, 2011 01:56PM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I'd say CA as well so you have it done before CoFA.

Agree!

message 6277: by Isamlq (last edited Apr 01, 2011 02:16PM) (new)

Isamlq Im reading Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma ... INTENSE.

Oh, I vote CA :)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Get out. I have that on my very immediate TBR for the month. We've been back on a similar vibe lately. I would have read it sooner, but it took me forever to find a stupid copy.

message 6279: by Mirna (new)

Mirna Thank u guys I will start w CA today!!!

LOL! Im almost done and, again, INTENSE...
Oh goody, I was going to send a recommendation!

Mirna, yay! I luv Jem :)

message 6281: by Alison (new)

Alison | 234 comments Carina, why won't you read Iron Daughter? It is sooooooo much better than The Iron King. I have to say, based on the 1st book, I wouldn't have continued reading if it wasn't for everyone telling me the others were way better. They were right...it is a very good story.

Still Ash for me, Brit...sorry :-)

message 6282: by Alison (new)

Alison | 234 comments Can you read CA without having to read the Mortal Instruments 1st?

I really want to read MI but they're $8.99 a book for the e-version!!! Sorry but that's too expensive for me to buy the whole series.

I'd like to read CA coz you are all saying how great it is, but don't want to get into something and be completely lost coz I should have read loads of books before it.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) You can read it without having read MI, but go ahead and check your inbox in a minute and I should be able to help you out.

message 6284: by brittany (new)

Lol! Yeah, he is! (:

I like him more than Jace O:

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Isa, what are your thoughts on Dmitri from Guild Hunter? For some reason, I'm liking him more than Raphael.

message 6289: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I'm so tempted to drop my TMI re-read and just read a plot summary on wikipedia or something because I know I'm not gunna finish before CoFA.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Or do what I'm going to do and read the last few chapters of CoG right before I pick up CoFA.

Well wikipedia pretty much sums up the whole plot. I'm half way through CoA but I can't be bothered with it atm.

The head vampire! yes... I loved (view spoiler) but I liked Blue Bell more.. Gosh, I cant remember that charries name.

message 6293: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Its so weird because when I first read them I like absolutley loved Jace but now I just think hes funny but meh.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I think I'm scared to read the books again and tarnish my image of Jace. I read that series before getting into most of the adult PNR, and he might not be as hot to me now.

We'll see how it goes in book 4. Hopefully I'll still want to claim him.

Isa,

I have no idea who Blue Bell is, but I'm only about 1/3 of the way into the book. I didn't get a chance to read much of it for the past few days, but hope to a little bit after dinner/before movie tonight.

message 6295: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) @Stacia I know my I think my image has been damaged by the fact that hes so much like Will. Well not as cruel but still. And also by the fact that since then I've found way better characters.

I've done my re-read though . On wikipedia.

Blue Bell is Illium! :)
I cannot wait for you to read FORBIDDEN... it is freaking five stars.. heck a million stars even!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I absolutely plan on it. I love stories about strange relationships. Teacher/student, incest (if the situation is a different circumstance and not for the sake of being perverted), polygamy, etc.

message 6298: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Teacher/Student - yum if hes hot and not like Hugh or Bruce Jenner.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Well I wasn't meaning like Rose/Dimitri, because that actually IS hot.

I meant situations where there is a gray or difficult area to discern, or if there's a consequence for taking the wrong action, like in the book Prey.

message 6300: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Oh right..lol
