To be honest I can't remember lol but I did give it 4 stars so it must have been pretty good.

It gets better, and then City of Glass is the BEST!

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) Juuust finished Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost and about to start Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, #1) by Cassandra Clare

What did u think, Meg? (about Halfway I mean...) And CA?! Yay! I loved that one too. :)

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) Hoooooly macaroni, I loved it! I wasn't expecting that bit at the end, I thought she was just gonna roll out, guns blazing. And can we talk about Bones? OHMGAAAHHHH I need a Bones in my life. Lol.

Lol! Meg, you are the newest fan of Bones and Cat. And it only gets better after book 1. There's a thread somewhere here... And yes... I totally understand your needing Bones in your life right now. That was totally me when I first read Halfway. :)

message 5718: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Ditto! Soooo glad you like it meg!!

Although I admit in the later books I'm more of a Vlad fan.

Awesome! Our newest member of the NH lovers!

I mean is there another couple that is more kickass than Cat and Bones out there???(Apart from Rose and Dimitri, who I love!) I dont think so =D

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) Holy macaroni, guys. It gets BETTER? I already gave it 5 stars. Cat is such a frickin' bad ass. I love her!

As for Bones, a couple who kicks ass together, stays together. =]

Fuck yeah. They are awesome!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I just love Holy Macaroni. And holey macaroni.

Oh, I guess I love Bones too. But that's a given.

message 5723: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) You guess you love Bones Stacia?

message 5724: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I'm going to read Ink Exchange (Wicked Lovely, #2) by Melissa Marr and re-read City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare soonish.

I guess. :)

I'm currently looking for my new obsession. It seems like I peaked with my men already and no one recently has been able to knock anyone out of my top 5 to 10.

I need a new obsession too. I haven't read any books lately that have got me completely obsessed with a character.

message 5727: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Wait I lie..Alex from Perfect Chemistry.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Can I say that it's a real let down when you like a guy in a book but his description annoys you. I recently read one about a guy who was sort of very sweet and protective (he was a bodyguard) and likes to speak French to his girl and call her Cher and is very attentive to her, but also the type that's primal behind closed doors. I was liking him, but so could not get into the fact that he had a military haircut and a cleft chin. YUCK...

message 5729: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) LOL EW!! I totally just saw Johnny Bravo from that.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Not sure if we had this conversation in this group or another one.

The other one I don't get is when a guy is written to have waist length hair. That is so 80's. It should never go below shoulder length on a guy, and even then, you better be Ben Barnes or someone that can pull it off.

Who has waist length hair? Lol Ben Barnes can totally pull it off but hes cut his hair. Its like short now.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) You see it more in adult books than YA, but it still happens.

message 5733: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Doesn't Mencheres have long hair?

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Karen Marie Moning loves to do it to her highlanders. Thankfully she didn't pull that crap in Fever. Although, didn't V'lane have long-ish hair?

message 5735: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Oh I think he does but it isn't too long I think. But hes allowed. Because hes sexy V'lane.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) True. V'lane is allowed anything.

Some guys look hot with the shoulder length (or an inch or two past) hair, it just depends on the guy. Most don't though.

I guess it's all about knowing if it looks right on you.

It's just the really long hair that needs to go away permanently. No guy looks good with waist length hair. They might be attractive, but the hair isn't.

message 5737: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Yeah like Ben barnes.

Really long hair does look gross on guys. Example Andy Six ahhhhhhhh creepy.

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) So, this is random but Clockwork Angel has me a tad confused. She was picked up at the train and I feel like the next thing I know, she's like semi-kidnapped by the Dark sisters and her brother is nowhere in sight. Should I start back over since I may have missed something, or should I just be patient and keep going?

I can't even remember o.o *Has a look*

message 5740: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Oh yes I remember now. How are you confused..?

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I don't think you missed anything. She went overseas to meet her brother because he sent her a letter asking her to come see him, and was immediately kidnapped, so there isn't anything to know prior.

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) OHHH okay. It was weird, because he even sent a letter and it was in his handwriting. Should I just keep reading?

message 5743: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Meggo wrote: "OHHH okay. It was weird, because he even sent a letter and it was in his handwriting. Should I just keep reading?"

Yeah it all comes together.

YAY Meg! I'm so glad you like it! They do get better and better! Book 2 especially *cough*

I felt the same about Bones. I need a Bones in my life. *sigh*

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Am I the only person that liked the first Night Huntress book the best? I guess I must be.

message 5746: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I'll have Vlad then. And V'lane.

message 5747: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Stacia ~ Mistress of Mediocrity wrote: "Am I the only person that liked the first Night Huntress book the best? I guess I must be."

I liked Bones nest in the first book. He isn't as great in the later ones, IMO.

message 5748: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) Its true. Bones is funnier in the first one but gets sexier in the second, third and fourth. He seems to have gotten less funny in book 5 though?

4th and 5th IMO. I think I'm the only one who got pissed off at him in book 4

message 5750: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) I got angry at him in book 4! But I almost cried in book 4 after the Gregor fisaco

"Don't touch me!" *gasp* *sob*
