you are not alone. I am dying for Stolen Nights (Vampire Queen, #2) by Rebecca Maizel to come out because Infinite Days (Vampire Queen, #1) by Rebecca Maizel was my fav book of 2010. But I thought Stolen Nights (Vampire Queen, #2) by Rebecca Maizel is coming out in June? That's what amazon and the Barnes & Noble websites have as a release date.

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) What's weird is Amazon lists it as out of print, and the release date is March 1st. I'm so confused on this. Oh, and when you search it on B&N.com it doesn't even come up! Did she change her mind about it or something?

Yes, I meant the part where (view spoiler) I got all sappy over that.

Guess I get to read the other one you mentioned now if it's that good. :)

Ha! I agree! I'm putting this book on my to-read list.

Alison | 234 comments Carina & Stacia, I loved Zsadist's story too, although Rhage's is still my favorite. I'm about 75% through Butch's story now. Not quite enjoying that as much as the last two but a lot is happening with Butch's character which is keeping me going.

I'm with you guys though, I am reading these back to back at the mo. Having a YA Hiatus.

Carina @Jen & Meggan I am so totally confused with all the release dates for Stolen Nights...But I guess its releasing on June 22nd, *sigh*, more waiting =/

@Stacia and Ali
I am loving BDB and I can't wait to keep reading them!

You know what, the same happened to me now when I went on Amazon and B&N.com a moment ago. But its weird because this morning when I went to the goodreads page for Stolen Nights (Vampire Queen, #2) by Rebecca Maizel I checked links that were on the section, where it says 'buy a copy' and both amazon and b&n.com, say the book comes out in June. It's so weird. I don't know what's going on there.

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) I asked about it on her facebook fan page, but no one ever responded. :( What a bummer. In fact, I was reading over the whole page today, and she never said anything about the release date. I saw a few conversations between her and her readers where they would just talk about the book, and as soon as they mention being curious about Stolen Night's release date, she would just completely stop responding. I could just be paranoid, but it seems kinda sketch, yanno?

Jen (jennifer_ashmy) | 245 comments Oh and I'm reading Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy, #5) by Richelle Mead
and I'm gonna start City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare - which I hope turns out great since I've heard so much good things about the TMI series.

Oh man, yea that is a bummer. But I don't think your paranoid at all and now that you tell me about her facebook fan page, it does all seem a bit sketchy. Because I've been checking her blog since September of last year and there's only been two mentions of Stolen Nights (Vampire Queen, #2) by Rebecca Maizel . One where she put a super small snippet of the book and the last one was like in January or something and she only talked about how she had submitted it to editors. But she never mentioned a release date for it, at all :(

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) Well, I left a comment on one of her posts where she was talking about how she finished it, and hopefully she responds. Here was mine: "Did you change your mind about releasing this? You can't even preorder it. =[ What's the story, morning glory? We're all dyin' here! ♥" I hope it didn't come across as pushy, but.. well, damn. we were promised a book and I wanna read it! Lol.

Jen (jennifer_ashmy) | 245 comments Haha, me too, me too.

Naah Meggo, I don't think it's pushy, I think the comment is just perfect. I mean come on after that endinggggg she left us with, we deserve that sequel, lol. She can't leave us hanging like that!! I don't think I've ever been more desperate to read a sequel, then the one to, Infinite Days, haha. It just like blew me away, that ending, I swear, lol.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I hope so! I loved both VA and Georgina Kincaid, so I'm feeling like this one should work out.

message 5619: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) I really want to read her Dark Swan Series, I've loved both her other series' and so I don't see how this one should differ. She's an amazing writer.

Past the half way point in CA now, and I can't decide between Will and Jem so all I'm saying it JILLEM!

message 5620: by Isamlq (new)

Isamlq I couldn't stick to my lline up... So now I'm reading Invincible Summer by Hannah Moskowitz ... and it is making me cry! (I love it when books do that!)

message 5621: by Carina (new)

Carina @Isa I need a book that makes me cry too! BDB 3 was very close, but I need something like Before I Fall. That one had me in tears the whole book throu! Is If I Stay gonna me love it like Before I Fall or no?

@Stacia Let us know how The Dark Swan series is. I've had it on my to-read for a while now.

@Jessica Thats exactly how I felt with CA too. Both guys are great but in the end I was a Will chick.

Hmmm... If I Stay will definitely make you cry! I remember comparing IIS to Before and thingking both dealt with the topic of death/grief but one is more about redemption (BIF) the other one is about choices (IIS.)
I hope you like it. Piper and I both do! :)

I'll admit, I am leaning more towards Will most of the time, he's just so much like Jace that you can't help but love him. He is really cruel in parts, but I don't think I'd have him any other way.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) That book started out with the author self publishing it on Amazon and became so popular that a real publishing house picked it up and re-released it. I think that's some awesome luck.

Isamlq I just finished Invincible Summer by Hannah Moskowitz and We'll Always Have Summer (Summer #3) by Jenny Han ... The first one intense (i've been using the word alot) and the second one sweet even if the story line is a bit old.
To read The Extraordinary Secrets of April, May, & June by Robin Benway ... hope it's good.

I needed a lighter read. I haven't read the books before it, so now I want to read The Summer I turned Pretty and It Isnt Summer Without You (Books 1 and 2 in the Summer series.) But even without knowing what's in those two.. I really enjoyed WAHS. It was light, quick. I questioned the motives of some the charries, but over all it went quick. It made me smile.

Carina Question, question!!!!
Ok BDB girls, I've only read up to book 3, and I was getting the rest of the books. I also got Father Mine Zsadist and Bella's Story (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #6.5) by J.R. Ward Father Mine: Zsadist and Bella's Story, and I started reading it. I'm only about 3 pages in but the short story is only 46 pages or so. So my queston is this: Since I haven't read more than the first 3 books in this series, will reading the rest of the short story spoil stuff for me?
I don't like to spoil my books but I LOVE Zsadist! So can I read it or should I stop my self before I ruin something?
Help!!

Ashley ~twisted_illusions~ (twisted_illusions) | 70 comments I finally finished Awakened (House of Night, #8) by P.C. Cast today and just started The Good, the Bad, and the Undead (Rachel Morgan/The Hollows, #2) by Kim Harrison

You should read it right after Phury's book. There's something mentioned in it that sort of references Phury's book.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Oh, if you're getting any BDB from me, let me know which ones so I can swap them out because some of those books are cut short or formatted funny and I'm just now realizing it. Not that there's anything "wrong" with the books, but no one wants to read a book and get to the last 50 pages and find them missing.

I need to get some new copies from a better source.

message 5645: by Carina (new)

Carina @Stacia Awwwww, I was afraid you'd say something like that. Ok, in that case....I have a problem.
I think I'm gonna keep reading the BDB books back to back and go back to my list when I finish them.
As much as I want to stick to my list, its just killing me to put off the rest of the BDB books (specially now that I found another little book about Z).

You know what. I'm really happy I'm gonna keep reading the BDB books. =)

I really like the world Kim Harrison created and the characters of Rachel Morgan a witch, Ivy a vampire, and Jenks a pixie. I read the first book almost a year ago and although it was kinda slow and I didn't get into right away I did like it enough to want to read the next one. I hear the series gets better with book 2 or 3 so I don't feel like I can really judge the series until I at least finish the 2nd one.
