Ditto!

message 5166: by Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (last edited Feb 20, 2011 07:27PM) (new)

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) I think I'd like Fever so much more if it were a bit more comprehensive. I started to read Bloodfever, but flipped through like eight pages of key terms and then put it down because I was sort of intimidated.

message 5167: by Carina (new)

Carina @Meghann I felt the same way but it really is worth the read.(Even if you feel a little less smart, like I did. lol)

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) I'm glad I'm not the only one! I thought it'd be a simple page or two, but I just kept flipping through and my eyes were just getting wider like O.O 'Nooooo!' LOL!

I think I might try again once I finish the Shifters series, since I've heard everyone (You, Stacia, Joanna, Isa, etc. LOL) rave about it.

message 5169: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Fever is definitely worth it!! Its one of my most fave series ever!!

message 5170: by Carina (new)

Carina Its defineltly worth the slight headache from figuring out words and phrases! lol

brittany (cirilla) Carina wrote: "Its defineltly worth the slight headache from figuring out words and phrases! lol"

I don't think I ever noticed really lol cuz I just whizzed through them.

message 5172: by Carina (new)

Carina @Britnee The first 2 books were the ones that I noticed. After that I kinda raced through them too! =)

brittany (cirilla) Carina wrote: "@Britnee The first 2 books were the ones that I noticed. After that I kinda raced through them too! =)"

Haha It took me AGES to read darkfever. And then after bloodfever I was obsessed!!

Sara | 114 comments So I'm reading Darkfever and I'm on chapter nine, it's moving slow for me.

Timmysparks | 1637 comments S wrote: "So I'm reading Darkfever and I'm on chapter nine, it's moving slow for me."

Darkfever is like an intro into the series. The pace picks up about halfway through. I'm at the 3rd book, Faefever now and its really good.

message 5176: by Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (last edited Feb 20, 2011 08:39PM) (new)

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) I think it might be since it's so world-building, you know? There's a lot of information they're throwing at you. But, I've heard from a lot of people that the payoff's good. Stick with it, and let us know what you think. :D

message 5177: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Shadowfever = possibly one of the best books ever. So the series is definitely worth it.

message 5178: by Stacia (the 2010 club) (last edited Feb 20, 2011 09:13PM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) We've already said it probably a hundred times by now but plleeeaase don't judge the Fever series based on book 1. Book 1 is a lot of world building. Each book gets better and better and better. Books 3 and 4 are great, and book 5 is perfection.

message 5179: by Alison (new)

Alison | 234 comments Stacia, when I 1st read your name I thought it said Stacia ~ ran out of latte LOL! Okay I'll go put my glasses on :-)

message 5180: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) People don't know reading perfection until they read Shadowfever.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Too funny Alison. It's supposed to be the word letters, but I think I like latte better.

Totally agree Britnee. There's only one thing about SF that bothered me other than the V'lane thing and it was (view spoiler)

Lol I agree. I couldn't imagine it. At all.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Sociopaths don't paint the toenails of a girl either.

Overall, it's a good book, but it took me a while to actually sit down and read it without jumping onto another book.
If I had to compare it, I'd say it was similar to Hex Hall :)
