Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I definitely will Carina. Unfortunately, it will end up being after NH5 and not before.

Oh cool, I only just started it and wasn't sure which of the brotherhood it was about coz is mentions V alot at the beginning too.

Katty, I liked Wrath too, esp when he helped her. I'm like you guys, a serious sucker for a tough guy melting when he meets the right girl.

I have to say the 1st time they were "together" I was a bit shocked that it happened so fast. Thought it was a little rushed actually, but other than that, a good story.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I do promise to read some Midnight Breed (hopefully soon), but if you end up reading further into the series, I made a BDB topic in this group for those that want to talk about the brothers.

My favorite books are Rhage, Zsadist, V (til the end, which sort of annoyed me), Rehv and John Matthew.

message 5105: by Alison (new)

Alison | 234 comments Oh Cool, so he obviously survives then (John Matthew that is). I just met him last night. (in a manner of speaking :-))

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Oh yeah. I really like him post-transition.

I'm just over half way though the book, but I LOVE it so far!

brittany (cirilla) Reading Delirium (Delirium, #1) by Lauren Oliver

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) Juuuust started Stray (Shifters, #1) by Rachel Vincent
And I gotta say, I'm seriously falling in love with Faythe.

Shes cool-ish.

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) I really like her. She's super independent.
Why cool-ish?

I've only read the first one so I can't make a full opinion on her yet.

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) Pft. HATERRRRR. =]

message 5114: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Haha. ;p

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I love that she can fight like one of the boys.

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) Honestly, so far it reminds me a lot of Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Ignore Brit. The rest of us like the series. She just has a bug up her butt about Marc.

Can't wait to see if you're going to be a Jace or Marc fan. We appear to be split on that one around here.

I resent that.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Resemble that?

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Sorry Britnee.

C'mere. Let's hug it out.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Don't you stop loving me now.

I can't quit youuu...

message 5122: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) LOL. I'm not mad.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) You know I don't really care if you like Marc or not. Never have.

message 5124: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Yeeeah. We seem to agree on everything else so far.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) As long as you have my back with Fever and Night Huntress, we're good.

About halfway through The Reckoning (Darkest Powers, #3) by Kelley Armstrong and it's just now finally starting to get interesting. The first half was almost painful to read, but I kept going because now I have to know how things work out with the guy she's picking.

message 5126: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Exactly

I still need to finish that series.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I decided to do it because there was one book left so I wanted to check it off my finished series list.

So it isn't really worth reading if theres better stuff?

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) I'm like halfway in, and so far, I'm kind of pulling for Marc. But, it's too early to tell, maybe.

Brit, don't hate! Appreciate. :D

Carina will love you for saying this.

I like Marc, but love Jace.

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) PAHAHAHA I love you so much. Rofl.

Hmm...I don't know. Are you like me and feel weird if you leave a series undone? Or do you plan on reading the spin-off series? If so, then I'd say yes.

For all I know, the second half of the book might be great and I might come back and say that you so should read it. So far it's been very meh though. I liked the second book better.

I read the first book so long ago. So I can't even remember really. Theres other series I REALLY wanna read like Chicagoland vampires etc so..

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Oh you didn't read the second one? I'd say skip it then. I'm only finishing now because I read the first two and just want to be able to say I finished the series.

Nope I read the first few pages and gave up because I couldn't be bothered reading (ages ago). Guess I'll finish them when i have nothing then.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) All this talk about how I'm struggling to finish that book is making me want to go right to something I want to read.

Going to start Succubus Shadows (Georgina Kincaid, #5) by Richelle Mead because book 4 ended on sort of a cliffy for me and I need to know what happens next. I've been thinking about book 4 since finishing and that's probably why I'm distracted.

No worth wasting time on books you don't wanna read.

message 5139: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Oh god I enlarged the cover of that book and I definitely don't like!!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I'll finish it, but I might just read a couple chapters a day when I have no more than a few minutes to read. That way it'll get done, but I'm not having to sit around and read for long periods of time on a book I'm finding dull.

There's really no reason not to finish now. I'm just past the halfway mark and it's the last book. I'll push through.

I'm not going to finish my NH re-read in time by doing this, but oh well. If I start NH a day or two later, it's not really a huge deal, right?

Yeah thats what I do. I was meant to do it with Strange Angels until I got obsessed.

Well at least you get it on the 22nd. So yeah no big deal. I'm gunna try read NH world though before it comes out here,

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I would skip the re-read but I really don't remember anything that happened in book 4 at all, and book 3 is sort of fuzzy too, so I'm stuck.

NH world will have to come later, unfortunately.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I'm just really liking GK now. Book 4 was the best of the bunch so far. The first 3 were good but not great. Book 4 was so, so, so good.

message 5144: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Its a bit hard to read anything else when you find an epic series.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Yeah, when your mind is on something it sort of distracts. I was like that when I read Tairen Soul. I got the first book and then ended up reading the rest of them back to back with nothing else in between, and I rarely do that for a series.

message 5146: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I'm kinda doing it for Strange Angels. With Delirium on the side. And I usually always read a series back to back or in a short amount of time.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I usually flit around trying out new things, but like Katty and I were discussing, I'm trying very hard to go back and start finishing up series that I haven't finished yet.

How's Delirium? It seems like people either love or hate that one.

message 5148: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I don't get to try a heap of new books usually unless I buy them

It is surprisingly good so far. I thought I'd probably drop it because it had been compared to matched but I dunno it looks as if it going to hopefully be good.

message 5149: by Carina (new)

Carina Ok so I've been reading like crazy all afternoon and I just wanted to barge in for a minute before hitting the pillows.

1. Meghann, yes I do love you!...I mean I love Marc!Well You too ofcourse, lol! I love Jace too, but Marc is my man. And Fayth is super awesome(most of the time ;D)

2. *Gasp* Stacia what do you mean its no big deal if you put off NH5??? hasnt it been long enough a wait already?? Come on girl finish your re-reading!

3. Brit maybe if you kept reading Shifters, you would come to like Marc? But will you do it? Nooooooo. You are one stuborn lady!!
