Can you let me know how the Anita Blake #2 book is?

Sure I'll let you know how it is.

I heard about that after I read Guilty Pleasures last year. That was one of the reasons I was hesitant to read the rest of the series. Since I liked Guilty Pleasures and I just read 2 of the graphic novels I went ahead and decided to continue reading the series or at least read books 2-10 anyway.

Graves is okay, but I'm leaning more towards Team Christophe. Maybe it's the random Polish endearments he likes to spout :)

Carina, I'll have to be completely honest with you, although I am enjoying BDB, I like the Midnight Breed Series better.

I'll tell you why, JR Ward jumps POV's all over the place and to me that is really jarring. I'm just getting into what a character is doing/feeling etc etc, then BOOM you're suddenly inside another character's head and it just irks me :-). I know this is just my personal preference but there you have it *grins*.

In the MBS Lara Adrian does change POV's but she seems to do it more with the change of chapter and not several times within a chapter like JR Ward does.

Anyway, personal preference aside, I can honestly say either series is a good bet, you really can't go wrong. The storylines are good, the Vampires are sexy, brooding, cursed etc etc. What's not to love LOL! Also I'm now reading the 2nd BDB so can't be all that bad, seeing as I still can't make it all the way through The Iron King (aargh).

sorry for sticking my nose in here, but I def think you should read BDB (I'm not even done with the first book yet, but I'm really liking it so far =))

message 5086: by Alison (new)

Alison | 234 comments Okay, I hope you guys don't mind me posting this here but I know it's where everyone congregates and I have a plea.

The illustator for my next book cover has fallen through and I'm only about 2 weeks away from being able to publish, so I'm getting abit desperate now.

Does anyone know how to draw, and would be able to draw a black dragon. I have an image I like but it's copyrighted so I can't use it but would like something similar holding a magical staff ie. The Emerald Staff, title of my next book.

I can't afford much, but would like to give a gift cert of some kind and obviously if anyone is interested their name would be on the book cover as the artist and on all my online stuff where ever I can give credit to the artist.

Again, I hope you don't mind me posting here, please PM me if you think you can help or know someone who can and I'll give you all the details.

Thanks guys.
