Reading for the first time: Desperation and The Regulators
Re-reading: Different Seasons

the Biblioholic, Tom
ps. the actual title of this book is The Fall. Pt. I. had more action. I'm 3/4 through, still waiting for the bell. To be fair, "the Fall" does have considerable action, compared to *most* books. Hogan and del Torodo do not write *most* books. Having just finished Book I, I immediately jumped into "the Fall". Long Story Short[er], I had become inured to thrilling action offered by these two authors. Great Teammanship. [crap, I sound like a commercial, haha].

The Waste Lands is by FAR my favorite Stephen King book I've read so far.

Hi, Dani!
It's great seeing you again! How have you been? I hope all's well.:)

Glad to see you liked it Marc! When I first read it I had no strong desire to get the second book when it comes out. As more time has passed though my opinion of The Passage has increased a lot and I'm now really looking forward to book 2.

I really liked The Passage a lot, too. Upon finishing it, I want to jump into the second book immediately. Months later, I found out that it wouldn't be out until 2012.. I cannot wait to start The Twelve!

It's hard to fully describe without giving a lot away. Check out this link to Wikipedia on the novel. Don't read beyond the first two paragraphs of the plot description or else you will start to get into spoilers.

I'm now re-reading my all-time favourite book, Watership Down.

I just love that novel. (Watership Down, that is. I've never read Tick Tock)

Tick Tock is amongst the Worst Koontz!
Try out
Watchers from him before you give up on him please... ;-)

Me too. I haven't read it in years, and recently it's been calling to me.

I've read False Memory as well, and didn't like that one either. I have Odd Thomas on my shelf, which I'll read eventually.
Is Watchers the one with the dogs? I don't know if I'll like that... I like dogs, I'm just not a "my dog is my best friend" kind of person :/

I'm reading The Dark Tower series now. I think it's awesome so far. You really should give it another try; you might be surprized this time around. :)

Was there even the mention of a creepy doll or dolls in Tick-Tock? I would hope there was- at least to some minor degree! lol.

I had to ask because I thought that it would be hilarious if there wasn't a doll in it. It would be like me writing a story about creepy dolls, and on the cover was a tap-dancing circus bear. Now wouldn't that be a nifty cover? lol.

Hi, Melissa-
I would definitely give the Dark Tower books another go. Who knows, it might be a completely different experience this time around.:)

Melissa--I agree with everyone so far, give it another go if you feel so inclined. Personally, there are times when I have to read a book/series a second time through to enjoy it.

I think it was just a bad time to start a new book, epecailly a series. I think it was senior year of high school and there was just too many actaul school books to read lol. After IT I'll give it another go.

Hi, Ellie-
What did you think of The Scarlet Letter?

Now I'm reading I Suck at Girls. I thought his first book was hysterical. Good so far.

I've heard wonderful things, Jason.:) It sounds like a fun read. Enjoy.

The copy I have has a little blurb from USA Today on the cover saying the book is like "Willy Wonka meets The Matrix." Once I saw that I realized that could potentially be the greatest thing since Chocolate met Peanut Butter!
