Before we look forward to another month of fun challenges let's take a few minutes and look back at June. What did you like and what turned out to be not so great? Start a new great series? Read something different from your norm that was an enjoyable surprise? Did one of your favorite authors disappoint you this month? I want to hear all about your month of reading!!! :)

I would have to say Witch Fire by Anya Bast and Take A Chance by Eve Langlais were my favs for June.
Favorite Books of June:
Big Disappointments of June:
All in all, I read a fairly even number of great & suckass novels in June. Here's hoping this month will be better!
June Favorites & Disappointments Fav PNR: Lover Mine by J.R. Ward
Fav HR: A Rogue's Proposal by Stephanie Laurens
Fav YA: Fire by Kristin Cashore
Biggest disappointment: Nauti Boy by Lora Leigh I expected more, it wasn't bad it just wasn't great
Well I was lucky this month I didn't really have any disapointments. My favorites would have to be The Kadin by Bertrice Small and Lady Chatterley's Lover by D.H. Lawrence, both were 5 stars!
Hum, fav's for June were:Web of Lies, Changes and all of the World of the Lupi books that I read.
On the disappointments side, Strange Bedpersons. I was seriously disappointed by it, it wasn't as fun and funny as the other Jennifer Crusie books I'd read.
My fave reads for June:Moning's Dreamfever: Even with the expected cliffhanger, this was a great installment to the Fever series. I got it in audiobook format and the readers gave fabulous performances.
Wilson's
: The plot just continues to thicken and continued to enrapture me. Can't wait to read the next book. I have it slotted for my July challenges.Frost's
: Denise as a heroine was so-so, but Spade as a hero was worth the five stars. : )Disappointing reads for June:
Ashley's
: I just can't wait for this book to finish as it seems to just go on and on. Don't really like her writing style.Phillip's
: It's not a bad book, but considering my expectations with SEP's works, this did not deliver the usual.
My favorite reads of June:Lover Avenged by J.R. Ward - another great book in the BDB series.
Fire and Rain by Kathleen Eagle - a surprising gem of a read with lots of depth and insights into Native American history and culture.
I didn't have any major disappointments, but these were just OK when I was expecting better:
The Unsung Hero by Suzanne Brockmann - there was just too many plotlines going on at once and I felt that the "main" H/H were overshadowed by them all.
Kiss of Heat by Lora Leigh - this time the steamy love scenes just couldn't overcome the lack of plot for me.
Lady vixen and deceive not my heart were the only 2 I got to read for June, both were worth it both bodice rippers.
By far
was my favorite read in June, a few other favs were:
and
.My least favorite was
. I'm not much a Nicolas Sparks fan.
My favorite reads of June were-
I was disappointed in-
and
I am going to give JD Robb another chance b/c everyone seems to love this series. One Day left me heartbroken and with a feeling of being slightly manipulated. It was well written, but sad, and I felt like the ending was just a way to wring more tears out of me.
My favorite was Sh*t My Dad Says. It was funny all the way through. Vengeance in Death was also pretty good.Biggest disappointment? Everything by Lora Leigh.

Photojim- I ordered Sh*t My Dad Says from Amazon last week and it's on its way. Glad to hear you liked it, can't wait to read it.
My favorite reads in June were:
Sanctuary is an older Nora Roberts. A little outdated, but it's got a good mystery/suspense plot that kept me guessing.
I had only one disappointment:
To be honest, this probably had more to do with me than the book. I don't really like vampires all that much (with the exception of the Sookie Stackhouse books, but then I don't read those books for the vampires as much as I read them because I like Sookie). So, I had a feeling I wasn't going to like Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter very much going in but I needed a book about Abraham Lincoln for a challenge so I read it anyway. By the end of the book, I wished I'd just picked up a straight biography of Lincoln. I thought his life was pretty fascinating without having to embellish it with fictitious vampires. But if you're into vampires, you might like this alternative version of Abe's life.
I read a lot of books last month and enjoyed most of them. There were none I heartily disliked but Heat Seeker butLora Leigh was not one of my favorites. Part of that could be because I'm not big on the terrorist themes. One White Rose by Julie Garwood was kind of ho-hum and not a real page turner.
I read a lot of good books in June and I have trouble choosing among them so I'll list a few:
I didn't enjoy:
(couldn't even finish it) and
Lol, I read so many books in June that I have a lot to choose from (67 to be exact..).. I particularly loved (and I can't seem to pick just one, sorry!)
Sorry! Can't pick one! As you can tell, I discovered Julie Garwood, Loretta Chase, Larissa Ione and Linda Howard last month!!:-)
Melanie wrote: "...Sorry! Can't pick one! As you can tell, I discovered Julie Garwood, Loretta Chase, Larissa Ione and Linda Howard last month!!:-)...."No need to pick just one!!! I want to hear about all the goodies!!! :)
My two five star books of June were
and
. Both were excellent!I didn't hate any books but had a few blah ones -
and
and
.
My favorites for June:Queen of Song and Soul C.L. Wilson
Burning Lamp by Amanda Quick
Secrets Of A Summer Night by Lisa Kleypas
Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs
Melanie wrote: "Lol, I read so many books in June that I have a lot to choose from (67 to be exact...)"Wow Melanie! That's more than 2 a day! I'd like to be you when I grow up. :p

Lol.. when you get to be 23? :-)
I had several favorites from June, but my absolute favorite was The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. I loved this book.
I was highly disappointed in Everything and the Moon by Julia Quinn. I've been reading the Bridgerton series and I've absolutely enjoyed every one of them. I had the same high expectations for Everything and the Moon and it just didn't happen.
