Kristen - Wow! Your reading pace is amazing. Got to keep reminding myself that I am doing this primarily for fun and to cross off some books from my TBR list and the competition is secondary...=D
Me too Alyson. I usually read really quick but this book I'm reading now (April and Oliver) is super slow going. Don't know why though.
Amy wrote: "Me too Alyson. I usually read really quick but this book I'm reading now (April and Oliver) is super slow going. Maybe I should add everything. *shrugs*

Add them all! Second book for a letter are only worth 2 points less off the top, so that's still pretty good. I've got plenty of memory on my computer :)
I just want to let you all know I am going on vacation Monday, July 19 - Sunday, July 25 and won't have internet access. I will catch up everyone's points on the 26th. I'll still update throughout this weekend, of course. If you wanted to be especially kind-hearted to me, you could post all of your new points in one comment (just keep editing it to add more info/books) and then I wouldn't have so much sorting to do. But either way, I will figure it all out when I return to the "real world." :)

Thanks guys! But I have summers off, so this is my reading cram time - hehe. And I have a lot to get through on my TBR :-D
Heather, I LOVED Unwind! It is such a great book! It's freaky to think that a society to get to that level, ya know?! I can't wait to hear what you think of it!
Heather wrote: "I have to remember not to be so competitive myself, Aly and Kristen. I'm in fourth... fourth! :P I'm reading Unwind and I'm really having to let it sink in."
Heather - I need more "bang for my buck" - LOL! I am second in pages read but like 5th in points. Need to start reading things with some points. :-) But everything I have read has been good so far and that is most important.
I purposely made my A-Z list from my TBR shelf by title only. Only after I'd picked the books that sounded good and wrote them down did I allow myself to check point values. Most are at the 15 point mark, but I've been wanting to read them forever. So I'm convincing myself it's okay to read for fun and not just competition! It IS tough. If you guys would just read less, it'd be so much easier for me... haha!

Jesi, are you sure that The Venetian Betrayal: A Novel is a YA novel? It looks like adult fiction to me... If you can find it shelved as YA at a library, then I will be glad to give points for it. I am only going to add in Leviathan for now.

It's not, but it fit within the July Challenge, which was what one of the categories for points counted for, so I thought it counted. Sorry for the confusion.
Amy wrote: "April & Oliver by Tess Callahah"
Amy, is this one classified as YA? It sounds like adult fiction, and I couldn't find it at listed as YA at the L.A. County Public Library.
If you can show me a library or bookstore that has it in the YA section, then I can award the points. Sorry! :(
Welcome to the group and the challenge, Michelle! You listed the books correctly and since the "and Zombies" version is a new read, it counts. My points total is higher for you because I go by the first version of the book that GR pulls up and it's Charlotte's Web has more pages. Hurray!Leaderboard: (in alphabetical order)

Michelle,
Contemporary fiction is kind of like realistic fiction and Charlotte's Web, well, isn't realistic :P
It would fit better under classics or fantasy. Just letting you know, because another book will probably fit under contemporary and you'll want the points :)
Not a problem Angela. My library has it classifed as YA Fiction but I really don't think it fits. So dont' worry about the points.
