I completly stopped even considering being a Twilight fan after I read Breaking Dawn. It made me so mad!

breaking dawn was totally uncalled for and overall an epic fail.

      I liked BREAKING DAWN.
It was really good until they talked out their problems.
Its like Meyer thought: "Psshhh. Cant be bothered with this anymore. Lets end it and hurry onto writing THE HOST."
BTW, is THE HOST good?

i havnt read it, im not sure i'm going to but maybe.

I didn't like the Host. I couldn't even get past the first 150 pages. I tried like 3 times then just gave up.

thats to bad. remind me what it's about again?

I read the Spiderwick Chronicles a few years ago and found those a little so so and I hated Breaking Dawn because I wanted them to fight :/ I NEED VIOLENCE SOMETIMES but I think Stephanie got to attatched to her characters to kill anyone off....I could think of at least seven people that could've died and the story would have still survived
It was entertaining but the plot (or lack thereof) left me expecting more
All I remember is it's about aliens. . . and they're like taking over the human's bodies.

I wanted a little violence too and I agree, she's gotten too attached. I disliked the plot. In fact, I hated it. It hardly went with the other plots of the books. It's like 1-3 where about James and Victoria and then Breaking Dawn was just totally random. Or anyways, that's how I see it.

Haha. I'm not much of an alien person myself. Unless they're Transformers. I ADORE Transformers. But that's slightly off subject here. . . .

I have the littles obsession (that really isn't so little) with Transformers. . . .

My friend told me the other day that she thought The Host was 100% better than the Twi series, but IDK besides that. She said it's about these aliens that come and inhabit humans and that sometimes the soul of the actual person dies, but sometimes it is still there just subdued, and they start to influence the aliens, maybe? Lol I can't remeber exactly, now, but she said it was TONS better than Twilight. And then there is a group of humans that the aliens don't have control of, that are in hiding and trying to attack the aliens so they can regain control.

I've never read The Host, so I can't comment, but Twilight was okay....Obviously some books were better than others, but it was a fair series.

That's about right. . . The main girl starts fighting with the alien inside her.

Life of PiIt doesn't really have a bad ending, I'm just disappointed because the ending was unexpected. but I still liked the book.

BREAKING DAWN.
There should have been a freaking battle!"
I was just going to post that!
On another note, I was thinking of The Forbidden Game by LJ Smith. Although I hated Julian, it was a horrid ending.
yeah, you should read it. it's very enjoyable. And I also hate the ending of Breaking Dawn. i expect more from her!!!!!!!!!!!

I wasn't happy with Marley and Me. It was kinda boring, but when the ending came .. I was crying like a five year old.

lolz. I would go read and/or watch that one, Tenebris in Lux, but since everyone knows what happens to Marley in the end, I don't really see the point.

TWILIGHT. I was so into the first three, and then Breaking Dawn was just plain bad! Some other ones are The Confessional, which was amazing with a brutal ending, Snitch, which also followed the previous format! I was so aggravated!

The Catalpa Tree really got me hooked for some reason, it's about an orphan who falls in love with her guardian. It's a touching story and I loved it so much :)Another book that I LOVED and I'd read it everyday would be Love, Stargirl by Jerry Spinelly because it is beautifully written and yeah.
Just to feel a bit more knowledgable on Twilight and the whole discussion, I only read the first two books and didn't find them THAT good - why do people make such a big deal out of it when I know like, three other books as good as Twilight? That's just my opinion :)

Twilight would have been better if it was condensed into one or two books. Stephanie Meyers really dragged out the whole romance thing then shortened all the fight scenes

Meyer is such a cop-out author.
Oh, and Breaking Dawn will be a 2-part movie. How usless and stupid is that going to be?

Bruno wrote: "yeah i was wondering if i shoulds read twilight. ppl said i should"I wouldn't recommend it, but I'm a hater. I think you probably should read it so you can either see why everyone likes it so much or become a hater. The twilight series isn't really the sort of thing where people think it is okay, people usually either love it or hate it or they do after a while.
I agree to all comments on the 2-part Breaking Dawn movie: useless, stupid, and rated R (in the U.S., at least).

I don't think it'll be rated R.Summit would lose SO MUCH $$$$ because at least half of their money-spending viewers are under 17. They probably wouldn't alienate that many fans and risk losing money.
I remember a while back, there was a rumor that one/both of the Deathly Hallows movies would be R...
Oh, yeah they would. But they're going to have to change a ton of the story to give it a low enough rating.

It wouldn't surprise me...You know, sometimes I wish the MPAA had more specific ratings. Like, PG-15 (ML, S, V) meaning Parental Guidance under 15 for mild language, sex and violence. Or something like that.
If Hollywood can shoot the battles of Helm's Deep and Minas Tirinth without making it a freaking bloodback, they can figure out how to de-grossify the birth scene in BD. And from what I know about Stephenie, she won't let them do an actual love scene (an R-rated one, I mean). I'm not too worried about it. I mostly don't care, though. I've been pissed at movie adaptations of books, though, ever since freaking February. I'm still trying to get over the atrocity that was committed against The Lightning Thief. If I ever see Chris Columbus in real life, it'll be all I can do not to wag my finger in his face and yell "You've got a lot of explaining to do, Mister!"

Why would Deathly Hallows be rated R? I've read it several times, most recently around the start of the year and I don't remember anything that bad in it.

I thought that The Host was really really amazing. The beginning is really slow, and it's hard to get into the story, but once you get near the middle of the book, it gets waaayyy better.
Yeah, the Lightning Theif was just awful. Good note: The Hunger Game movies are going to be fantastic. This is because Suzanne Collins is writing them! (: They already signed on for all three books. Yay!

Hmmmm books that had terrible endings well Breaking Dawn they should have fought it would have made it wwwwaaayyyy more better and I really hatted the ending of a series of unfortunate events. It was I feel a waste of like what is it thirteen books the first one was the only decent one.
