Haha. It's ok but definitely isn't as interesting as The Blade Itself, which I finished reading before this.

I liked it too, although I would have enjoyed more fantasy elements--the beginning was so interesting.

I can finally put a fantasy here. I'm reading The Hunger Games with Aloha Jr. Very enjoyable. I like the strong female protag and the ideas. Haven't enjoyed a YA since Harry Potter series. Harry is still my favorite of the YA's.

I'm reading Grimspace right now. It's a but unique but I'm not sure yet if it's a good thing, neither here nor there, or a bad thing.

Story is told in first person, but also present tense. Kind of different.

I finished The Hunger Games. It was an enjoyable YA read. A bit too simplistic for my taste as YAs usually are, but imaginative and enjoyable. Simplistic meaning I can see where it came from and where it's going.

The Harry Potter series is still the best. The Potter series did not feel simplistic. The storyline is highly original, told in a whimsical, complex way without a complication of words, and I can't break it down easily.

I'm starting Shades of Grey. I am absolutely loving this book. If it follows the same pacing to the end, it will go on my favorites shelf. It's basically a satire on government bureaucracy and group hierarchy expressed in an explosion of colors. As an artist, I love it! As a lover of smart and original books, I love it! It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland in its hidden commentary on the structure of society illustrated within the book's zany world.

Yesterday, I finished The Great and Secret Show. I enjoyed it but I thought some parts of the story were a little slow and drawn out.

Now I'm reading The Godwulf Manuscript.

Ok. This month I knocked off the last two books in The Night Angel Trilogy, which was 5-stars awesomeness. Then moved right on to the sequel to Geist, Spectyr, a great continuation. Wrapped up my audio listening with the completion of Heartless, and now I find myself truly wondering what I will pick up next. I've had such GREAT reads lately!

I'm making my way through the Night Angel trilogy. On the second book at the moment :) It's a very fun and fast series.

Much. It withstands the test of time.

(although, it's a pretty straightforward adaptation of the book)
