My book menu:
My Audible credit kicks in today and I'm going to download and start on

In paperback, I'm reading

On the iPhone for when I'm waiting somewhere with no reading materials, or in the dark in bed, I'm reading

I still have my collections, which I've been neglecting, but is good for cleaning the palate between the Japanese books.

When I'm tired of reading, I'd like to draw from

I finished

Sorry, Jason, but I decided not to pursue reading

Next I'm going to read The Red Church by Scott Nicholson.
I've been on a bit of a horror kick lately, to celebrate Halloween. Though I'm usually reading something horrific anyway, whether it be a short story or novel.

The Last Unicorn is one of my all-time favorites!
Also, have you read Beagle's
A Fine and Private Place? It's completely different and shows just what a talented author he is.

No I haven't but think I might dig it up soon. The version of The Last Unicorn I read was his oroginal version which featured the Unicorn in a modern world and traveling with a demon! Very interesting!

Lol It's not trashy at all it's what I like to call fun and frivolous. I hope he writes more books about the pair in that book actually.

just started The Summer Tree

Oooh . . . I had no idea there was such a thing. I'll definitely have to pick this up. The original is such a lovely work of fantasy.

I am now listening to

Barely touching

Kafka on the Shore is one of my all time favorites. I couldn't stop reading and devoured it in a single day. I'm looking forward to read your review an thoughts about ist :)

I've been wanting to read Perfume for some time now. I saw the movie version a few years ago, and I liked it. Interesting concept!

I also want to have a period of Haruki Murakami reading. I want to get a good feel as to what his writing is all about. But I constantly need a reading change, so I don't know how many books of his I can read before I need something different. Haruki Murakami, that's one Japanese name I can remember clearly. Now, I have other Japanese names to memorize. It's a tongue twister of Japanese names.
