I think the summer is a GREAT time for chick-lit! So here are some of my faves for the beach, pool, or couch...

Holly's Inbox Holly's Inbox by Holly Denham
Size 12 Is Not Fat Size 12 Is Not Fat (Heather Wells, #1) by Meg Cabot (and the sequels)
The Beach Street Knitting Society and Yarn Club The Beach Street Knitting Society and Yarn Club by Gil McNeil (and the sequel)
Brava, Valentine: A Novel Brava, Valentine A Novel by Adriana Trigiani

Nadia A (bagambo) Anything by Kinsella, Keyes or Giffin. Chick lit is definitely a great reading staple during the summer.

I am new to Keyes and really like her. I FLEW through Something Borrowed and Something Blue by Giffin.

I just remembered my sexy vampire series (see below for book #1)... I think I've made it to book 5. Now that I think about it, I'm adding some more of these to my Summer TBR list...

Undead and Unwed Undead and Unwed (Undead, #1) by MaryJanice Davidson

Nadia A (bagambo) Keyes is great for some good chick lit. I love the books she writes that center on the Walsh sisters - those are my favorite. As for Something Borrowed and Somthing Blue- Loved them both! I'm looking forward to the movie version of Something Borrowed - should be fun!

I've never seen those vampire books you mentioned. I'm still trying to get through the Sookie Stackhouse ones. I'm barely on the first one.

Zoe | 113 comments My 2 favorite chick-lit authors are Jennifer Weiner and Anna Maxted. I'm not a huge chick-lit fan, but they are a fun distraction sometimes!

I forgot they were making the Giffin books into movies, can't wait!

I've never read Anna Maxted. I'll have to give her a try.

I feel that way about Gil McNeil... she's just funnier because of the way she says things.

I loved 84, Charing Cross Road this summer. A short, easy book to read -- and a cult classic.

I also thought Major Pettigrew's Last Stand was a nice summer read. Gentle and subtle.

LemonLinda (lwilliamson0423) I loved The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons which I read in July. I am now reading the second in that same series - Tatiana and Alexander which I think will be equally as good.

Nadia A (bagambo) My favorite reads this summer have been The Unit and a short story called Mr. Penumbra's Twenty-Four-Hour Book Store and The Passage! Loved those summer reads!

Nadia, I just bought The Unit today. After your review I decided I really wanted to read it.

Nadia A (bagambo) Yay! Can't wait to find out what you thought of it! There is so much to discuss with that book!
