Potjy | 50 comments 20.1 - The Most Improved Player - Deirdre's Task - Sweltering Summer Days
When I think of a hot summer day, I think of one of my favorite junk foods: ICE CREAM! Think of the name of your favorite ice cream, and read a book whose title contains at least one of the words from the ice cream name. For example, my favorite ice cream is White Chocolate Almond, so I could read The Devil in the White City , Like Water for Chocolate, The Almond Picker: A Novel, or White Chocolate Moments. The word in the book title should exactly match the word in the ice cream title, so I could NOT read Chocolat. When you claim points, tell us what your favorite ice cream flavor is!

- My favorite ice cream flavor is Green Tea, especially the dark green, bittersweet one with authentic matcha that being served in Japanese restaurants. So I read...

BZMoney | 159 comments 10.3 - Same Place, Same Time... Same Books
Read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson, Michelle from Gresham, OR was online and reading this at the same time as me. The description of this book is a "thriller", I did not feel it was a thriller, more of a murder mystery. It didn't have me at the edge of my seat and it took me a while to get through, but it's worth the read, I will be reading the next book in the series and am interested to see how the movie turns out. I wish we could give 1/2 stars, this deserves 3 1/2 stars, but not quite 4.

Lyn (Readinghearts) (lsmeadows) Task - 15.9 - “He Who Knows Others Is Wise. He Who Knows Himself Is Enlightened.” - Lao Tzu
Book - Rush Home Road: A Novel by Lori Lansens. I picked this book for the task as the title describes my most apparent personality trait. I am very family oriented and always want to "rush home" to be with my family. In the book the main character, Addy Shadd, gets turned out by her family when she is 15. She spends the rest of her life building extended families, but in the end completes her journey by ending up back at home. In this way she is also like me, as I love people and since I live 2000 miles from all but my immediate family, I have built an extended family to take their place.

25.8- Fablehaven and Revolting Rhymes
I didn't like Fablehaven as much as I thought I would. I thought it would be for adults and kids like Harry Potter but I think it would be better for kids. Revolting Rhymes was hilarious! I loved it. Quick read.

15.10- Native Son by Richard Wright. It was 544 pages so I'm claiming a big book ticket. I thought this book would be better but I thought it was slightly drawn out. There were places in the book I loved, mostly the beginning showing the oppression of the black population and the end during the trial. The middle was too much like Crime and Punishment for my liking.

I don't have a son but I do have brothers that I'm very close to. We always laugh when we're together.
