Wendy (wldinnis) I have only read 8 hours and I am going to try and squeeze in the last two before the time is up. Still haven't finished my first book yet.

Debbie (db_debber) | 137 comments Took a short nap, now back to it. I finished my 2nd and started on to the 3rd. Hoping to have time for it all.
Sure is quiet inherent at the moment. Only couple hours left.

Unapologetic_Bookaholic I feel I did well enough. I hadnt been reading anything this week. I was able to finish a book and read quite a bit of another. Kudos to everyone else that read 3 books or more!

Debbie (db_debber) | 137 comments I am happy with my 2 plus. Still have abut of time and not much of Rebecca left. Going to see if I can knock it out. Glad you got 1plus Kenjii. It has been a difficult reading week for me too.

Debbie (db_debber) | 137 comments well, that was interesting! Finished the last hour with a flashlight - lost electricity during a thunderstorm. But still I was able to finish what I wanted to. Since I am on battery in my laptop I will have to spend the time later to get page count, but I know that I was able to read for just over 14 of the last 24 hours. I think the longest stretch was this morning, I got up to quiet (except for the storm) and was able to read for nearly 5 hours straight (no kiddos up at 3 am, go figure). I will be back later to see how everyone else faired. Hope you all had as much fun and got what you wanted to read - read :)

message 56: by Wendy (new)

Wendy (wldinnis) I read for 10 hours, the longest stretch being 4 hours last night. I only read one book, totaling 501 pages. I didn't do as well as I did last time although I did finish my library book that is due back on Thursday so that makes me happy!

message 57: by Afsana (new)

Afsana (afsanaz) I got a bit confused and for some reason thought it was starting midnoght sat to same time sunday and I have interview monday so knew it would knacker me out so wasn't going to participate. Its only now after all over do I realise I got it wrong

But I read a lot anyway during that time (though should have done some prep for interview)

In that time I read:

2 books

Martin musunderstood by Karin Slaughter 147
Blue smoke by Nora roberts 42 pages

Total 559 pages

also listeened to 2 hour or so of audio books- mixture of mansfield park by jane austin and the Assasination of marylin munro

Catherine I feel asleep last night but set my alarm to get up and read some more for a few hours before we ended, but I don't even remember the alarm going off. Luckily the cats woke me up! I'm not sure what my total pages will be. I wish I had time to read today too, but I have too many other things to do. I'm REALLY enjoying The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and I'm only on page 154.

message 59: by Amy (new)

Amy I started a few minutes after 8 a.m. and read most of the day until about 2 a.m. Along the way I took a few brief breaks to cook, eat dinner with the family, and dozed a couple of times from exhaustion. I completed two books and part of a third for a total of 972 pages.

message 60: by Catherine (new)

Catherine Hey everyone, I created a final totals and summary folder if you want to post your totals there. Hope everyone had fun!!

message 61: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (db_debber) | 137 comments Summary thread is a great idea. hope this link helps :)

message 62: by Catherine (new)

Catherine Oooh, great! Thanks Debbie!

message 63: by Athira (new)

Athira (Reading on a Rainy Day) (readingonarainyday) I just woke up. LOL! And I'm jealous you've all been already up! :)

I read for 20 hours, but a couple of the books were real slow, so my page count won't be majestic. Still, I'm glad I did this, because I feel like I've achieved a lot!

message 64: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (inexplicablybookish) Well I only read about 150 pages, but, I finished my book early this morning and passed out. I still managed to get up at a decent time today and get some more errands done, so, woo!

Next time I hope the read-a-thon doesn't fall on a day I have to work and run errands ;) that'll make things a lot easier!

Congrats to all for any and everything they were able to read!

message 65: by BJ Rose (new)

BJ Rose (bjrose) | 93 comments I started late but strong - read for almost 3 hours before my first break, then listened to my audiobook while I ironed, did dishes, etc., but then my breaks came more often and lasted longer - just couldn't stay focused, and conked out a little after 8:00 p.m.

My approximate totals are: 3 hours listening, 6 hours reading, less than 500 pages read.

Congratulations to those who stayed on task and accomplished a lot!!

message 66: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (db_debber) | 137 comments Sounds like you did ok to me. So, what did you read and what did you listen to - inquiring minds want to know? And we also have a summary thread - link on comment 62.

message 67: by Valorie (new)

Valorie Well I started at 12pm yesterday and just finished a little while ago. I fell asleep at 5:00am and woke up again at 8:45. I grabbed something to eat and finally finished! Yay! I read...

Every Crooked Nanny
A Vicky Hill Exclusive!
and part of Ashes of Midnight

I have read all of her Dark series and I loved it. I was hoping that the Scarletti Curse was good. I love her books, she's soooo good. LOL.

Debbie (db_debber) | 137 comments It's different than the Carpathians books. I enjoyed it though.
