Same Male Model Used For Hero On Different Books

You've read my mind Debbie about Fabio. I didn't read his books though.

If you want to see a male model who's been on tons of romance covers, check out this site devoted to cover model Nathan Kamp. Odds are you've seen a lot of his covers and haven't realized it...http://ravenscorner.50webs.com/index.htm
Thanks Auntee, I have a book with him on it.
He reminds me of a man that use to play on Another World.

Oh yeah, I have a number of books with that guy on them. I had no idea what his name is though. I'm not up on the names of the cover models.
I knew he appeared on soap opera and Another World would have made him a little older. He does favor a male from Another World.
Nathan starred on One Life To Live and The Guiding Light.
That's why he looked so familiar to me.
I don't watch soaps! I've given them up years ago, but before the Guiding Light gone off the air, I had an aunt that use to watch that soap and I have seen him on it.
I never seen him on One Life To Live, because I've stopped watching that soap years ago. Back in like 2000.

Yes Nathan is gorgeous ,I have noticed on posts where the poster put up a lot of his pics he looked so different in some of them I didn`t even recognize him,but hes a keeper for sure Auntee.

I do recognize him
Nathan is gorgeous, indeed.
I have never been a Fabio fan. I'm so glad he's not on the romance covers anymore.

I agree about Fabio.

I agree about the Fabio thing, too. I hated that for a time it seemed like he was on every other cover in the romance section. Though, looking at that Nathan Kamp website, I wonder if he hasn't been on more covers than Fabio. Probably not, though. LOL. He's definitely more attractive than Fabio, in my opinion. Did you all know that Fabio used to write romances and he was on the covers of those, too? I was in a used bookstore last month and I came across an entire section of romances written by him. I was pretty surprised.
In the one book, "Wild," it listed who was writing with (most likely for) him on the inside, but her name wasn't on the cover itself. I can't remember it for the life of me, though...
Found it on Amazon! For "Wild" his "collaborator" was Wendy Corsi Staub, but Eugenia Riley is listed on some of the others. I wonder how much of the books were actually his ideas...
Nathan is handsome, but I'm sorry, I'm LMAO...I have so many books with him on the cover, and I never realized it was the same guy :-DUh, if you don't mind my asking.. Who the heck is Fabio? (please forgive me... this is what growing up in snooty Switzerland without romance novels at every grocery store does to one:-p)
Lol.. we could start a challenge about some of these cover models (read 5 books with...) :-pDo you girls think it's a full time job?

That would be a good challenge Melanie. I don't have books with the same models on them.
I think that the models probably model part time.

If you go on the site Auntee posted in post 4, you'll have the (long)list of books he posed for: Amanda Ashley, Lisa Kleypas, Robin T Popp, Margaret Moore, Lynsay Sands, Karen Hawkins, Madeleine Hunter,.... A HUGE list!!! I'm sure you've read some of those books, no?
Fabio is on probably 95% of Johanna Lindsey's covers
http://www.fabioinc.com/page2.html u can find some other covers with him

Melanie, if you want to do that challenge, feel free to start a thread for it, under challenges.
Pamela, it was acutely painful to be a JL in the 80s and not be a fan of Fabio. :(

I never cared much for Fabio. Somehow the long blonde tresses just don't do it for me. That's just a personal choice. LOL.As for Nathan, I think he is very attractive, but not very distinctive. That's why it is easy to change his looks on almost every cover. The only one I knew was him was KMM's Highlander books, because she announced that he is the model. It's interesting when I went through the list of books which he was used as model, I've read some of those, and would never think its the same guy. However after close inspection, and of course, knowing beforehand, now I can see it.
That's a good point, Yz. But, if I close my eyes, I can picture a fair number of the romance novel heroes looking like Nathan Kamp. Probably why he's so successful.
I dont know who Fabio. But I know Nathan Camp. I first saw him in Dark Needs at Night Edge cover (Kresley Cole IAD) and i think, wow look at those abs and expressionlol.
And then when I read another book, and look the cover, i say, hey, i think i know him, and realize there sooo many cover books that have him as cover ^^.
I dont know his name first until i saw in Karen's web.
I know some male model cover that appear in many books. I remember the man model in Caitlin Kitredge Black London, Jordan Summer's dead world series and Simon Canderous books is the same. But i dont know his name :(
I know, there are several book covers where I'd really like to know who it is! There should be a registry somewhere . . . I think I began reading PNR due to Nathan's abs. I know I definitely am predisposed to purchase books he's on the cover of, especially if I don't know the author.
I never really notice the cover models as a lot of my books are ebooks, so you don't really take notice.I didn't recognize Natham Kamp as the same person and I have read a few of those books! He is gorgeous though, yum he has a delectable body!
Fabio is quite something, he doesn't do it for me though! Although he does kind of remind me of Derek Mallory from Johanna Lindseys book now that I look at him, only not as good looking!
@ Cindii know about that. I love Conrad Wroth from Immortal After Dark series, but not sure love him because his story or because Nathan Kamp is in Dark Needs at Night Edge cover, lol
(i think that is best IAD cover ever, IMO)
Nathan has a webshow (?) about cooking! He and his wife are just sickeningly cute and loving, etc. Ack! Wish I had Nathan to cook for me! But I think I'll stick with someone who's washboard abs are more of a fantasy . . . can you IMAGINE waking up to that man everyday? Or having to say, Nathan, sweetheart, can't we just go to Jack In The Box, just this once? ;)
Well, these are the covers for two of Kresley Cole's books:
It's not only the same model but the exact same photo as well!
I like when you can't see their faces male or female because I would rather imagine them myself. I don't like a lot of the male models pictures others seem to like. We all have our own tastes.
I like these book covers you can still imagine.

I agree. I prefer to not have the faces defined because I make up my own version. But when I really think about it, I don't think I even add a face. They're kinda like dreams, when you know who the people are, but you never really see their faces. for me, at least
Yesssss there was a male model from the 70s I think or 80s named Fabio.... really good looking I guess... but I could not read any books with his picture on it. It spoiled the book for me. We all have different tastes. And I am not saying he wasn't good looking... for all the Fabio fans.... it is just to me he was not ....... well he didn't do it for me.
I didn't mind Fabio so much - I was a JL fan (certain books). I liked it when they changed his hair color & stuff. He was great in the western style clothes & stuff. Hair blowing in the wind, lol. I have a rule however...No men with hair longer than mine. Only 1 diva per household and I'm the diva. LOL!

One day, when I've gone to buy books at a thrift store, I've seen two books with the same male model on it.
I can't have one man being more than one of my heroes.
I like books where the hero isn't shown, because I like to imagine how the hero looks. I don't mind a silhouette picture of the hero, but a real picture. Not really. Because, sometimes, the outside man and inside man don't match.
