I couldn't get through the books and I think it was my kids copy of book two was missing a whole chapter which was replaced by a previous chapter I went on and gave up. I did enjoy the movies!

Try reading the real versions.... I wasn't aware that there were others, and make it past chapter 10 of the first book. Trust me!
