Nice to see you here, Ebony.
Hey April, nice to see you here too. :)

Yup girl, you caught the "Fever"! Lol once your hooked there's no going back. Who would want to. I know I haven't :.D

LMBO! You to funny!

LOL thanks :D

I stumbled upon Darkfever in my favorite used bookstore. Oh, what a discovery!
Favorite book in the series? I would say Shadowfever, but in reality, it's whichever KMM book I'm currently reading. :)

How could anyone not absolutely love this series?

After much procrastination on a friends request to read this series, I was sucked in all at once! I absolutely cannot believe how amazing the fever series is. JZB.....OH MY!! Same with her highlander series. She has literally ruined all books for me. I am always comparing other authors works to hers, especially her highlander books.

I'm Maeve or M for short. I'm 27 and have just moved back to Upstate NY/USA. My favorite book of the series is Iced so far and I love adult-based Fae oriented urban fantasy. I have only read the Fever series so far but am quickly falling in love with Moning's abiliy to storyscape and character build so do plan to give her Highlander series a try soon.
I have heard good things about the Fever series from numerous blogs as well as Amazon because I'm also a huge fan of Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series and was searching for something similar. To be honest the only thing the Fever series and the Dresden Files series has in common is that both feature the Fae as characters prominently within the storyline but I love both series like a Mom who can love two entirely different children.

Hi M. Welcome to MM. I'm a fan of the Dresden Files too. I tweeted Butcher and told him Skin Game was fantastic, maybe a little more 'skin' next time though ahahaha. Murphy and he seem to be headed for something.
I am an addict of KMM though without a doubt I just love her books. All of them.

Nice to meet you. I couldn't agree with you more about Skin Games and Harry and Karrin. I'm getting ready to start the Highlander series and am quite honestly glad I have some Moning to tide me over while I wait for Burned to come out :)

I'm K.D., I'm 27, and I reside in Long Island, NY.
I discovered Fever by seeing it in many goodreads profiles as favorite series. After seeing it too many times, I decided to give it a try.

Hi bestie,
I'm so happy that you decided to join the group. What a surprise!

There is no doubt that I LOVE JZB, but I also adore Christian MacKeltar.

Hi Honey and welcome. Christian is my favorite Alpha in the series so far also.

Next in line to read are the Highlanders. I'm from Canada and am 33.
Hello, my name is Hannah, I'm 33 from maine. I found the fever series in 2011. I took a chance and am so glad I did, i couldn't put the books down. My husband kept asking me what was wrong with me (even when not reading them i was in a constant state "fever") I have yet to find anything that can top Mac and Barrons. They are my favorite couple ever. As far as my favorite book I couldn't tell you. I just loved when bad ass Mac started coming alive :)
The entire world that KMM created made me want to live there, I could see every detail she described and thought she did an amazing job. She made me want to live in the fever world, even after dreamfever haha!!

I'd just finished Cassandra Clare's Clockwork series and was looking for something new to sink my teeth into. I came across the KMM's Fever series while searching in the 'Best ADULT Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance' section of GR.
It's a close call for my favourite, there are elements of them all that I love equally. If I could take my favourite sections from each book to make one AMAZING 'Best Of' book, I would just read that over and over until the next book comes out and then I'd probably re-read the whole series (for the 3rd time) which would fill in the gaps not in my 'Best Of' book and I'd feel like being reacquainted with an old friend...*sigh.
A sure sign of how much I love a book, is how life consuming it becomes. I discovered it only a month ago, so had the benefit of not having to wait for the next book (with the exception of Burned, but that's ok...Shadowfever was thoroughly satisfying). I lost several days to this series, whereby I missed meals, went without sleep, washing went undone and I neglected my poor husband (except for the most basic, least time consuming cooking). It's very rare that a series does that to me, and I sometimes put reading them off until I feel like I can commit to it relatively guilt free, should a series be one of those life consuming beasts. I adore paranormal & fantasy in any way I can get it.
I am so happy I found this group, hopefully it will help keep my addiction under control until Burned comes out!

I came across KMM randomly at the library about 5-6 years ago with her Highlander series and never looked back.
Um....I'm from Las Vegas, NV born and bred. I'm 32 and have been with my husband since I was 17 :) I lucked out. I've always been a proud bookworm and am grateful to have found the paranormal and urban genre. I love books that help me escape reality once in a while.
When I'm not reading I'm usually binge watching Doctor Who, Sherlock or something british. I'm obsessive like that lol
I can't pick a favorite book in the series because I can never read just one of them without reading them all. I'm emotionally invested with these characters.
I'm not sure what else to say except everyone on here that I've come in contact with is so nice and the ideas and perspectives from other people that are as obsessed as I am is brilliant. I look forward to many more discussions with all of you :)

I think Cruce will get free thanks to Margery.
I'm interested in the interaction between the Seelie Queen and UK but am not sure how it will work. He seems to have lost more of his humanity since he lost her if he ever really had any at all. She's drank from the cups more than once I'm sure and is no longer the person he fell in love with....can he love the new person and not project the past on her?
Lor's in for something obviously with that teaser...was he with a succubus?
We Care gathered all the food and is only handing it out to followers.......are they a cult or something worst?
I always speculate and end up with more questions than answers hahahha

Hi Sue!!!!

I am Pam and have been lurking here for a while. I was one of those people that were put off by the reviews of Iced saying that the book contained pedophilia. My library finally had Iced available, so I decided to check it out. There was not even a hint of pedophilia! I loved Dani; she reminds me of my 14 year old daughter. Without the super speed; thank God, but with the cockiness used to hide her insecurities.
I guess I learned my lesson about taking reviews too seriously.

I found this series through Cristina's Book Blog, I trust Cristina, she always recommend the best stuff and she has a tough taste to match. After she started obsessing about this series, I found almost ALL my friends have read it. So I started reading it and I didn't really get into it. My friends pushed me and said it gets way better, I didn't like Bloodfever either. Way too confusing, so many characters and so many things going on. But I thought I'd have to finish it to see what was everyone so crazy about. And just when I was 20% through Faefever I was HOOKED!!!! OMG!!!! I guess The first too books were more about building up the plot but in Faefever things actually start to happen. My friends were so right, not only it got better, it got REALLY GOOD, SOOOO GOOD. I Though Dreamfever was my favorite, but now I'm reading Shadowfever and and I'm in love even more with it.
What got me hooked and what made me keep reading? The back story of the Fae, the idea that they existed before us, the story about how the Unseelie King destroyed his world for a mortal female, the dreams Mac have. I love dreams and anything associated with it. I LOVE the action. I love how strong Mac is and she is not a cry baby. And of course I LOVE JZB. :D
Sorry for blabbing but I'm so excited it and can't wait to find out what happens in Shadowfever. I've only got tons of theories lol :b
